My grandfather says the care is excellent. He goes to lots of other entertainment.
The Richmond Village experience in Nantwich is like a cruise ship, (eg QE II) without the water around it. I cannot fault the staff or the residence, everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for your review; your analogy made us smile and in fact when we think about it yes we are! Beautiful decor, fantastic events and activities, delicious food, great hospitality and stunning views! All with the best care and support! Welcome aboard!
The weird wooden drummer sculpture in the garden is very creepy - gives me nightmares.
Thank you so much for your review - we will keep a room for you! The wooden toy soldier is one of those things that you either love or hate (don't tell anyone but I agree with you!) - I hope you liked the other decorations, though!
The care and compassion of everyone at Richmond is wonderful. Very very clean!
Thank you Hayley for your lovely remarks.
I have visited Richmond Village over the last six years as my sister had friends residing in the village. I was always impressed with the friendliness of the staff at every level and the beautiful decor and furnishings, also colourful immaculate gardens. I am so pleased that my sister is now a resident. She is very happy and I know she is safe and all be well looked after.
Thank you for your lovely review; we are very proud of our facilities and gardens which have won many awards and we hope your sister will enjoy them for many years to come.
We needed as a family, palliative care for my mother and we looked at Richmond Nantwich on the internet. We rang up, made an appointment to see inside and the room that was available. My mother was assured and accepted. From September to mid-November, my mother had 100% care here. The staff are wonderful and so caring without making my mother feel that she was deteriorating. It gave my father and I peace of mind that mother was being looked after. From the senior care lead down to the breakfast staff, to the cooks and cleaners, it is an exceptional and very special place.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. Although your mum was only with us for a short time, we feel privileged to have known her. All the staff send their best wishes to you and your father.
This care home is extremely clean, welcoming and friendly. The staff are very warm and treat the residents with absolute respect. The rooms of the residents are all very individual, as each resident is able to fully make it their own. There is a strong staff presence in the building so always someone to help out.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this review and for your kind remarks.
Richmond Village Nantwich is a fantastic care home. It's main feature is that it is situated in the centre of Richmond Village (retirement village). My father is 89 years old and is able to share the excellent range of activities available with people much younger than himself. This range of activities is definitely a plus factor of living in the care home. I have been very happy with the quality of care in all aspects which my dad has received over the past 4 years.
Thank you Jackie for your review. We are proud of the range of activities and events on offer; there is lots to choose from and something for everyone to enjoy! Thank you again for taking the time to do this.
Because of Mums failing health, her needs have changed and the staff and management have been very sympathetic and caring to ensure changes have been made, we have been consulted at all times and advised when she needs changes, or when she is well. Never once have we been concerned and indeed we feel everyone in this home is looked after as though they were related to the staff member because they are so very very good
I cannot say how fabulous everyone one is at this home, Mum is so happy, comfortable and enjoying life even when her illnesses try and stop her, the staff make sure they don't. It is such a comfort that she is safe at this home and happy. Thank you, everyone, at Richmond Village Nantwich.
Dear Geoff, Thank you so much for your lovely review; it means a lot when a relative takes the time to review our service, especially as we know what busy lives you lead! Your mother is such a lovely lady and we are happy that she is too; indeed she always makes us laugh with her funny asides and sayings. Thank you once again.
Nothing is ever too much trouble and although the staff are busy they always take the time to listen. The staff in the dining room are fantastic and always willing to accommodate my son's preferences where they can!
Thank you for taking the time to complete this review; your comments have been passed on and we are very grateful for your kind words.
The staff have made my mother welcome and her every need is attended to by an expert team. The atmosphere at the home is more of a hotel, upbeat vibe, immaculate grounds and facilities. I feel safe in the knowledgeable that my mother could not receive better care.
Thank you so much for your review; your Mother has settled in so well and we always look forward to seeing you and your family when you visit!
My recently bereaved mother moved for respite care and quickly settled in due to the kindness and dedication of all the staff. She had been very lonely, sad and unmotivated at home. However, she had joined in the activities, made new friends and came alive again. We are so pleased to see this transformation.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Your mother has certainly settled in well and it is lovely to see her joining in with the different daily activities and making new friends.
Friendly, helpful and kind staff. Very clean environment. Lots of choice at meal times. Nothing too much trouble. Felt safe in this environment and would return if need be. Just felt the addition of a communal lounge other than the dining area would be most welcome. There was only the reception area or outside (weather permitting) to meet other residents.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. There is a lounge located near to the Bowling Green - perhaps if you come to stay again we can show you where it is so that you can enjoy this facility.
Richmond Nantwich has both the appearance and feel more of a hotel than a retirement home. From arriving in reception through all departments the staff are fantastic. Courteous and friendly throughout. No nasty smells here. Everything is clean and tidy. Close care levels are of the highest order. I cannot believe this place can be bettered. Expensive? - Yes, but value for money? - Sure thing.
Thank you for your review and for the lovely comments that you have posted; they are very much appreciated by all the staff here.
Very pleasant experience. I found the residents and the staff very helpful and friendly. My flatlet was comfortable and roomy. I had a very enjoyable break and hope to come again in the future. I would be pleased and happy to live here- but must consider the finance as the village apartments are expensive and also I am not mobile so would miss friends etc as they are like myself elderly and not too mobile! I am 90 myself. Try to build a unit closer to me, please!
Thank you, Mrs Curtin, for your review; it was lovely to meet you and we certainly look forward to welcoming you back for another stay! It is always the best idea to consider finances carefully - if there is any further information you require please do not hesitate to contact us.
If my mother is happy, then so am I. Excellent care home. Peace of mind to know my mother is happy and well cared for.
Thank you for your kind remarks; taking time to complete a review is always very much appreciated.
Staff very patient and caring, try to include everyone in the activities.
Excellent caring staff. Plenty of outdoor space for residents to enjoy.
I have had contact for over 12 years as a volunteer, visitor, friend and had Respite care on 4 occasions. Excellent leadership creates an excellent workforce which is immediately apparent. All departments achieve a common aim - high standards and pride in their job. Many of the clients are vulnerable. Each has his/her own special needs which are met. May I cite an example of efficiency, high standards achieved? "Reception - one's first point of contact is usually with a reception team who field a myriad of tasks. First impressions are important: dealing with people requires empathy, expertise and kindness which allay one's fears in a new situation. On my 4 respite occasions, one of which I was well-cared for, supported, restoring my confidence. Gratitude to LEADERSHIP".
Thank you, Margaret, for your review, the comments of which are very much appreciated.
Bright, pleasant surroundings. Staff all helped towards my recovery after my operation as did the quality, efficient care and service.
Thank you, Joan, for your lovely comments; we are all delighted you are "back on your feet" again and look forward to seeing you soon!

With over 14 years of dedicated experience working in health and social care, Abbi brings exceptional expertise, compassion, and proven leadership to the role. Her appointment represents a significant milestone for the village and underscores Richmond Villages Nantwich's commitment to providing the highest standard of care to its residents.
Abbie's career in care began immediately after college, where she started as a care assistant and steadily progressed through increasingly responsible positions, including senior care assistant and care coordinator in domiciliary care. Her professional journey has been intrinsically linked to Richmond Villages, having previously served as a senior carer at the village before moving into the NHS and later taking on management roles in domiciliary care.
Recognising the exceptional quality of Richmond Villages Nantwich, Abbi returned to the village in 2025 as Deputy Manager and has now progressed into her new position as Care Home Manager, which is a testament to her talent and the village's investment in nurturing its leadership pipeline.
Speaking about her appointment, Abbi commented: "Everybody locally knows Richmond Villages, and people always have something positive to say about it. The feedback from residents and families really speaks for itself, and it makes you feel proud to be part of something so well thought of." "No two days are ever the same, which I love, but what really stands out is the support from the whole village team. Whether it's care staff, hospitality, housekeeping, or kitchen teams, everyone works together to make sure residents receive the highest standard of care possible."

With 29 years of experience in the care sector, Kirsty has built a distinguished career spanning various roles in home care, management, and coordination.
