Richmond Villages Nantwich is a vibrant and integrated retirement community designed to enhance the health, happiness, and wellbeing of its residents.

Richmond Villages Nantwich is proud to offer the very best in residential, respite, palliative and end of life care within an award-winning retirement village that also offers independent and assisted living apartments set in four and a half acres of landscaped gardens.

Residential care is provided at a weekly fee, dependent on each person's support requirements. Long stay, respite, convalescence and day care are all offered within the care home.

Richmond Villages Nantwich also offers a wide range of on-site facilities including a dedicated Care Home Restaurant (The Alpine Suite), The Garden Room Village Restaurant, elegant sitting rooms, a hairdressing salon and beautician, landscaped gardens and a Bowling Green. Care Home residents can invite guests to join them for lunch by reserving a table in the Garden Room Restaurant where private parties can also be catered for.

The 41-bed residential Care Home's rooms are all en-suite with electric profiling bed, TV, telephone and Wi-Fi access. Some rooms enjoy patios or balconies overlooking the gardens.

Residents are supported to live a healthy and happy life in the very best environment with a dedicated and highly skilled care team. There is a full-time activities team, a large hospitality team, maintenance team, gardeners and full-time drivers who can take you to local health appointments or to the local towns and shops on scheduled trips.

From the moment my mother moved into Richmond Village, she was treated with dignity and respect. The home is run very efficiently and has a number of activities going on throughout the day.
The staff have made my mother welcome and her every need is attended to by an expert team. The atmosphere at
the home is more of a hotel, upbeat vibe, immaculate grounds and facilities. I feel safe in the knowledgeable that my mother could not receive better care.

My recently bereaved mother moved for respite care and quickly settled in due to the kindness and dedication of all the staff. She had been very lonely, sad and unmotivated at home. However, she had joined in the activities, made new friends and came alive again. We are so pleased to see this transformation.

Friendly, helpful and kind staff. Very clean environment. Lots of choice at meal times. Nothing too much trouble. Felt safe in this environment and would return if need be. Just felt the addition of a communal lounge other than the dining area would be most welcome. There was only the reception area
or outside (weather permitting) to meet other residents.

Richmond Nantwich has both the appearance and feel more of a hotel than a retirement home. From arriving in reception through all departments the staff are fantastic. Courteous and friendly throughout. No nasty smells here. Everything is clean and tidy. Close care levels are of the highest order. I
cannot believe this place can be bettered. Expensive? - Yes, but value for money? - Sure thing.

Very pleasant experience. I found the residents and the staff very helpful and friendly. My flatlet was comfortable and roomy. I had a very enjoyable break and hope to come again in the future. I would be pleased and happy to live here- but must consider the finance as the village apartments are expensive
and also I am not mobile so would miss friends etc as they are like myself elderly and not too mobile! I am 90 myself. Try to build a unit closer to me, please!

I have had contact for over 12 years as a volunteer, visitor, friend and had Respite care on 4 occasions. Excellent leadership creates an excellent workforce which is immediately apparent. All departments achieve a common aim - high standards and pride in their job. Many of the clients are vulnerable.
Each has his/her own special needs which are met. May I cite an example of efficiency, high standards achieved? "Reception - one's first point of contact is usually with a reception team who field a myriad of tasks. First impressions are important: dealing with people requires empathy, expertise and kindness which allay one's fears in a new situation. On my 4 respite occasions, one of which I was well-cared for, supported, restoring my confidence. Gratitude to LEADERSHIP".

As a resident, for 16 years I have been very happy. My wife (deceased) was cared for by the TLC of a very good are staff at all times. In my opinion, she was helped to be reasonably happy and pain-free despite severe attacks of Trigeminal neuralgia. She was wheelchair bound and bed bound for over 40
years with progressive MS.

I have been in my flat now for almost three years. I have always found the staff at reception very very helpful. I have found the staff everywhere friendly and considerate.
The whole area inside and out is spotless and the food good. Things have improved in general this year with freshly decorated
reception and dining areas. It is the kindness that people of our age need and that is in evidence here.

Very welcoming - Grounds and buildings well maintained and decorated. All staff, obviously motivated and trained in customer care. Medical staff knowledgeable and approachable. My mother has established an good rapport with a number of staff. Medication always provided as prescribed. Any medical
illnesses are noted and I am informed: e.g. illnesses and falls. Visits to the doctors or hospital appointments are arranged and undertaken by Richmond if relatives not available. Food and drink provided as required and good quality. Plenty of provision for activities.

Lynne Griffin

Job Title: Village Manager Joined: 1996

Lynne has been working at Richmond Village Nantwich since 1996. Her role as Village Manager means she is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day life in the village. She spends time dealing with issues raised by residents, potential residents and staff. Lynne also provides support to all the Heads of Department in their roles and helps out as and when needed. She is also responsible for maintaining a set budget, future planning for the village, management reporting, etc. Lynne also spends time networking and promoting the village.


‘The best part of the day is when I am spending time with our residents. They have had amazing lives and I am proud that we are able to help them to continue to enjoy life to the full,’ says Lynne.

Allyson Attward

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2022

Allyson is the Head of Care/Registered Manager for the residential care home within the Richmond Village Nantwich and has to adhere to the care standards requirements of the care home, thus maintaining the care rating given to us by CQC after our inspection report.


She organises all admissions and discharges from the care home and ensures that the care delivered to the clients is always of the highest standards, delivered safely and with dignity.


Allyson promotes an "open door" policy for all who live, work and visit the care home, and is always willing to listen to feedback.
