Overall Experience
My husband is in the Croft Rest Home, and I would certainly recommend them for their kindness, understanding and friendly atmosphere.

I would also like to say how pleased I am with the way the management and staff have successfully dealt with the global Coronavirus Pandemic, to ensure the safety of all the service users.

Mum has been a resident of The Croft since February 2019, and during that time, she had received excellent care, is happy and feels very safe there. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their attention to detail, their patience and professionalism. The home is extremely well managed and is always clean and well presented, and the food is really good and nutritious.

We are always made to feel welcome when we visit until coronavirus caused a prolonged shutdown, which has also been managed excellently due to the dedication of the staff who have gone beyond our expectations to prevent exposure of residents to the virus.

I want to give a huge 'thank you' to the manager and staff at The Croft for making sure our relatives are staying safe. The home was locked down very early and shortly after that, staff were asked to sleep in after their shift, to minimise the risk of infection. That was all instigated before Government guidelines. I visit mum often, standing at the window and the staff always have her ready for the time I visit. They do everything they can to ensure the visit runs as smoothly as possible and nothing is too much trouble. I can't thank everyone enough for the sacrifices they are making to keep everyone safe. Let's hope this crisis passes soon and we can all enjoy a big outdoor party with our loved ones. Thank you.

Our mother went into the Croft in June and sadly passed away on October 6th. In that short time, she was looked after superbly, in a well run, clean and caring environment by all the staff. We had the privilege of staying with Mum by her bedside, for four days prior to her passing. The care the staff gave in that time, not just to our mum, but to us was outstanding. We will never be able to thank them enough and whatever Farrington Care Homes is paying them, it isn't enough.

The Croft is a well run, clean, exceptional care home. My mother has been there several years and is always well cared for. The staff are wonderful and the manager is very approachable and very conscientious. At the moment improvements are being made, not finished yet but it will be wonderful when finished. I have no qualms about this care home at all and the food is wonderful.

Review from Nicole S (Regular Volunteer) published on 13 September 2016 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I volunteered at The Croft Rest Home on the 29th August 2016, for a summer fair to help raise money for a sensory room. While volunteering, I could see that staff were very attentive to all residents and they worked well as a team to make sure everything ran smoothly, while providing normal day-to-day care for the residents.

The residents were involved throughout the fair if they wanted to. However, if residents didn't feel like joining in, staff made sure they followed their daily routine, allowing them to perform their normal activities. It was nice to see residents having a dance to the singers and just socialising with visitors that came to the fair. The grounds of the home were also very clean and well presented.

The managers were very friendly and came to check if all volunteers were ok, asking whether we needed drinks or food throughout the day. You could see that they had a lot of things to do, but it was nice for them to check on us and the visitors.
