Excellent care given and kind and considerate respectful to my mum she appears happy and content also respectful to me and her husband when we visit. Good activities, beautiful bedroom very cosy place.
This is an amazing care home with excellent staff who go above and beyond to look after their residents. All the staff at Glen Taner are so caring, they keep you updated on everything that happens within the home. The food is excellent and bedrooms are very comfortable. They provide lots of games, outings and different events which family and friends can attend. We couldn't ask for anything else for our mum. We were unsure about putting mum in a care home after she'd been in hospital after a nasty fall, but it was the best decision we made. Mum has been at Glen Taner for over 3 years and is very happy there.
My dad has settled in so well, nothing is ever too much trouble for anyone.
My mother is in this care home and she is happier here than any other facility she has been in .I always find staff caring and helpful.I have been able with the help of staff to face time mum , which we both appreciate.
My mum has been in the home just over 3 months. It was a really hard decision but my mums dementia has progressed and my dad was struggling to keep her at home. The understanding and support from the manager and staff made the transition so much easier and we started with a 3 month trial. There have been a few small issues which is to be expected but I raised any concerns with the manager and they were resolved easily. My mum was struggling with the change at first especially sleeping, but the staff have all been patient and understanding, even going out of their way to make her feel safe and put her at ease. We find the home very homely and family of residents are welcome all the time and anytime. They have great engaging activities and encourage the residents to take part. The food is cooked by a chef and is healthy and nutritious with good menu options. The home is clean and safe. It is very reassuring to know my mum is being well looked after by caring staff she is now very settled
It's such a wonderful environment filled with love, passion and care.
I've had nothing but a positive experience each and every time I've visited.
Since my nan arrived she seems so much happier and more herself which is lovely to see.
Glen Tanar is a lovely home that not only makes mum feel at home but also welcomes and supports us as a family. All the residents in the home always have a smile on their faces, and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. They go above and beyond with the outstanding care given to the residents at Glen Tanar.
Their entertainment program is outstanding, and they try to encourage all residents to be involved, which is lovely, and it is also lovely to see updates on social media when you have work commitments.
My mum has now settled and really enjoys being there, which is reassuring for the family. I also now feel that when I leave Mum, she is happy, and I know she is safe and very well looked after. I can't thank the manager and her team enough for making a very difficult decision and time as a family reassuring and lovely for our mum.
The support provided in every element has been outstanding. Everyone has gone out of their way to make him feel included and part of the Glen Tanar family.
He's enjoying the food and company. Being here has hugely enhanced his quality of life. Thank you.
The warmth of the welcome we receive as visitors is exceptional, and it is absolutely clear how much the staff care for everyone, it's a wonderfully friendly place, and my mum loves it. The food is first class (better than a previous care home according to my mum!), and the bedrooms are lovely and comfortable.
11/10 super excellent!
Thank you for your kind words. It is lovely to receive such a positive review. We will pass your comments on to the staff as they are the ones that make the home what it is. We want them to feel valued and be proud of what they do.
Glen Tanar has been the right choice of care home for my Aunt. She has been a resident for several years and during this time the care she has received has been excellent. The staff is hardworking, tentative towards my Aunt, and caring. They are all extremely approachable and will help with whatever needs you require. My aunt has been extremely happy and gets on well with all the staff. Management is fantastic. I can't fault this care home and would highly recommend it.
Such lovely staff, so very kind to my mum and so very kind to us when we visit. Staff go out of their way to make sure Mum is comfortable. Staff take time to contact us regularly as we live such a long way from Mum, they make sure we are updated and make it easy to visit whenever it suits us.
I know everything is good lately and excellent, we have good fun and a laugh.
It's a very welcoming care home, the staff were very helpful, kind, happy and pleasant my friend is very happy and I always get offered a brew, very homely and other residents seem happy and content.
Friendly staff. Warm environment. Caring and professional.
My mum is really happy at the home and this has made the transition so much easier and accepting.
We came to view Glenn Tanar when my Dad was in another home we weren't happy with. We loved it immediately. We had to wait a few weeks for a place to become available, now he is in Glenn Tanar we are delighted with the experience for Dad. It's such a relief for him to be in a happy home where he is entertained and treated with dignity. I can't speak highly enough of the ream here, who have made him (and us) feel very welcome.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is great to receive such wonderful feedback.
The staff are very helpful and kind, the rooms are bright and welcoming.
Absolutely amazing place. Loads of room, fabulous staff, freshly cooked food, lots to do and Dad loves it, as do we. Can't recommend highly enough.
My mother was a resident, or should I say part of the 'Glen Tanar family', from March 2022 until the end of October 2022 when she sadly passed away. As soon as she moved in I knew instantly this was the right home for her. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, there was just a lovely vibe about the place, everyone, residents and staff, seemed happy and there was always so much laughter. During her stay at Glen Tanar, my mother was cared for to the very highest standard and with such love and attention, nothing was too much for the staff. We were always welcomed very warmly and encouraged to see Mum whenever we wanted no matter what time of day or night. This home is just a class above all the other care homes I've had dealings with. I really could not have wished for a better place for my mum to be, it's an amazing home. I can't thank the manager and all her wonderful staff enough for the unwavering care and compassion they showed my mum. Thank you.
Many thanks for this wonderful review. It goes without saying your mum will be missed dearly. The people we look after become part of our family and are never forgotten. Not only them but their extended family become part of our home/family.
