The staff are very helpful and kind, the rooms are bright and welcoming.

Absolutely amazing place. Loads of room, fabulous staff, freshly cooked food, lots to do and Dad loves it, as do we. Can't recommend highly enough.

My mother was a resident, or should I say part of the 'Glen Tanar family', from March 2022 until the end of October 2022 when she sadly passed away. As soon as she moved in I knew instantly this was the right home for her. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, there was just a lovely vibe about the place, everyone, residents and staff, seemed happy and there was always so much laughter. During her stay at Glen Tanar, my mother was cared for to the very highest standard and with such love and attention, nothing was too much for the staff. We were always welcomed very warmly and encouraged to see Mum whenever we wanted no matter what time of day or night. This home is just a class above all the other care homes I've had dealings with. I really could not have wished for a better place for my mum to be, it's an amazing home. I can't thank the manager and all her wonderful staff enough for the unwavering care and compassion they showed my mum. Thank you.

Since moving into Glen Tanar, my mum has become much happier. She is very well cared for and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They have lots of activities and the home is clean and bright. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I looked around for a care home for Dad when he was poorly back in May 2022. I live in Cornwall so not able to be there. Glen Tanar sounded just right from the telephone calls we had. This proved to be the case from the moment he was admitted into their care. He was quite poorly initially and they recognised this straight away and contacted the GP. From then on they had the perfect mix of care and understanding of Dad's need to keep his independence. I will be forever grateful for the kindness and caring they showed him and me when I came to visit. They encouraged all the things Dad enjoyed and the staff went above and beyond to make his stay with them a positive one. He achieved his goal by going into rehab and then home where he is now. This would not have happened if it had not been for the professional care and attention he received at Glen Tanar. Thank you to all the staff, a great team led by the manager.

My dad was admitted first for respite on really short notice. My dad has, fortunately, been lucky enough to now stay here permanently. The staff are extremely helpful, caring and very welcoming. Nothing is ever too much, thank you for everything you do. I would highly recommend this care home.

My brother has been a resident at Glen Tanar for four years and is very happy there and well cared for. Particular praise should be given to the excellent, cheerful staff who are more like family than carers. Visiting is encouraged and family and friends of residents are welcome any time. Personal thanks from me to all the staff.

Food, accommodation and staff are all of the highest quality. I have a comfortable, warm en-suite room. I feel safe here and I do not suffer from the problems I had before I became a resident.

During the last thirty months, the management and staff of Glen Tanar have cared with love and respect for my dad and mum. It is never easy to move parents from their familiar surroundings into a home but moving them into Glen Tanar felt from day one like moving Dad and Mum into a home from home. Covid-19 has not made the last two years easy but the Glen Tanar team has risen to the challenge and continues to provide love and care to all their residents as well as supporting relatives, in this case my sister and I, with information and support throughout. The whole team are fantastic and I cannot thank them enough or suggest anything they could do better. I wholeheartedly recommended Glen Tanar, its management and staff. Thank you all.

They were both very reluctant to move into a care home and both my brother and I tried very hard to keep them in their own home but, when the decision was taken out of our hands, the support offered by the manager and staff helped us all make the transition as smooth as possible.

I would just like to thank all the staff and management at Glen Tanar for the excellent care and support they have given my dad as he has settled into his new home. The home has a warm and loving environment and is very welcoming to relatives on their visits to see their loved ones. I have been very happy since the day I came because of the care and kindness that everyone has given to me and it has been a pleasure to be here.

My father-in-law moved here from a home that had been placed in special measures. The manager and her team of staff cannot do enough for him and our family. My father-in-law's mobility was poor as he was kept in a wheelchair a lot of the time however, he’s been allowed to walk around which has helped his mobility.

I've been with Glen Tanar for just over a year. I enjoyed my stay there. All the staff are great. I suffer from Parkinson's and the manager helped me during some bad times.
