Very happy with the overall care my mum is receiving at Norwood Grange. She originally went in for a few weeks' respite but we felt she was safer and looked after so well we decided to make her position there more permanent. Very, very happy.
Mum moved into Norwood Grange Care Home last year. Mum seems to have settled in extremely well, it is obvious that the staff care greatly for the welfare of their residents, despite the limitations that Covid has brought. The Facebook page gives a regular insight into the many and varied activities that keep the residents stimulated. Mum really seems to be enjoying the activities and the staff appear to be going over and above what I perhaps would have expected and as such it has given the family reassurance that Mum is safe, well looked after and happy. For that, I cannot thank and praise the staff enough.
My Mother has been in Norwood Grange for the last year. It was difficult for all of us initially due to the lockdowns and we all struggled, however, she has settled and she looks better than she has for a long time. A year in and Mum is settled and I think quite happy. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are kept entertained and active and my Sister and I love to see the pictures of everyone getting involved on their Facebook page.
We had to find a care home during lockdown so we were unable to visit homes or talk to staff face to face and the whole process was done online. The outcome could have been very different and I think we have been very lucky to find her a place in such a lovely home. All our communication with staff has been positive and responsive. They have done their very best to keep the residents safe during the pandemic and the relatives well informed.I cannot recommend Norwood Grange highly enough.
We as a family are so happy and grateful for the excellent care my nan has received since living at Norwood. She is happy safe and settled. The care staff cannot do enough. The entertainment and activities provided are also second to none.
I have found Norwood to be an amazing place for my mum. She has gone from not having any contact with others most days to fully interacting in most of the activities and having that constant contact. I have seen her flourish and look so happy, always smiling whether it be painting, baking or having a sing-song and an occasional dance! Norwood itself is always lovely and clean as is mum’s room. The staff are always pleasant and you can tell they enjoy the interaction with the residents. I would highly recommend Norwood to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one, it’s the best decision we made for our mum. Thank you.
My mother was nursed in her room after hip replacement surgery, they went over and above to make her comfortable. They have always shown care and compassion through 18 months of turmoil and restrictions. The staff were supportive of both residents and family during the restrictions of Covid and I just want to say thank you and God bless you all.
The way the staff have taken care of my grandfather is beyond amazing, they really do go out of their way to look after each and every one of the residents and it is fantastic to see all the different activities they do with them. It's also a big relief to know he is so happy there. Also, they make sure his hygiene is on top and he always has on clean clothes and freshly shaved. I would recommend Norwood Grange to anyone.
Norwood grange is an amazing care home full of amazing staff who will do the extra mile to ensure that all the residents are safe and have the best quality of care. It’s never easy seeing a family member go in to care, but Norwood grange provided so much more than any other care home we came across and were able to provide my grandma with such great care and opportunities in the last year or so of her life. I would highly recommend this care home.
My family member lived here for a long while. She sadly passed away in May 2020. In all the times I visited her I found the home very clean and the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. I followed their Facebook page to see all the fantastic activities and opportunities that are on offer to the residents, the list is endless. Residents are treated with care, respect and above all else dignity which is so important for us and them. I continue to follow their Facebook because they were so fantastic that I still like to contribute to their fundraising and I love to see what they do and sometimes get emotional watching the videos as they are so touching to see, keep up the good work Norwood.
My mum moved to Norwood Grange during the pandemic, therefore we were not able to view the home before she became a resident there. The staff, however, couldn't have been more accommodating. They arranged for us to have a virtual tour of the home, and we could contact them at any time with any questions or concerns we had. My Mum settled in quickly due to the staff being so caring and welcoming. Because of restrictions that are in place, we haven't had much physical contact with the staff, but they keep in touch with any information we need, and we know we can call them at any time. The activities and themed events provided are brilliant, and it is clear that each and every resident is thought about when these are planned. The home has its own Facebook page, and this has been invaluable to me and my family during this time. To be able to see photographs of what my mum is doing when we can't be with her is wonderful as well as reassuring. Fantastic staff, fantastic care home.
I can't praise Norwood Grange enough, my wife moved here in September and she has always got some activity to do and all the staff are marvellous. She always looks clean and well dressed. We have not been able to go in the home because of Covid, but we are kept up to date with photos and videos from what we can see everyone looks happy and the meals look very good. First-class service.
My mum became a resident of Norwood Grange during the pandemic. As such we have not been able to visit properly. We have however been visiting in a pod and can see inside the home. They also post a lot of stories on Facebook. Our experience so far has been amazing. The staff are all very friendly and you can visibly see how much they care for the residents. The amount of activities and fun things to do is unbelievable. From simple things like my mum doing some ironing which will bring her a sense of normality and comfort to making Christmas decorations and cards which are special for us to keep. My mum loves music and dancing and this is encouraged at all times. She is often given an MP3 player and clearly enjoys listening to her favourite songs. The lady in charge of activities is marvellous and is always thinking of different ways to try and engage my mum. You can tell the residents are all treated as individuals with their different personalities and quirks. Fantastic home.
I cannot praise Norwood Grange enough for the amazing care they provided my Aunty with. Every member of their team went above and beyond for her during her 2-year stay. I always found everyone extremely approachable and helpful. The food was excellent and pre covid times they organised day trips out and many other activities for the residents. It's an extremely difficult decision to place someone into care, but it didn't take me long to realise that Norwood Grange was the perfect place. Thank you to every single person that has helped both me and her during these difficult times over these last couple of years. You are all Angels in disguise.
Mum has been a resident for a few years, has always been happy and contented and looked after exceptionally well by staff and management. All staff are excellent and I can not praise them enough for their commitment.
This is a lovely place - the carers are really nice and helpful. Mum said the food is lovely and the activities are really good. The only thing I would say against it is the smell of urine in the lounge.
I like living here because it's good. There's lots going on, I have a company and the staff are really nice. I love it here. We have lots of parties and there's always something to do. I've got friends and I'm never on my own unless I want to be. My family visit and they tell me they love to see me happy and settled. I would tell everybody to come here.
I never had any reason to complain in my view, this place is excellent.
The staff are very pleasant and always answer any questions we have. Mum seems to have settled here and she is well looked after.
I have found the care staff are very approachable with anything you want to discuss. I cannot praise them enough. It is not always an easy job, but they do care about residents.
I found the staff to be very caring and helpful to the residents. Most of the time, there is a lovely, relaxed atmosphere amongst the staff and residents. Music and singing and even dancing on occasions and regular drinks to keep them hydrated.
