very good home.
They work well with the patients and always make you feel at home.
The home is always clean and tidy and the patient's rooms are well looked after. We could not wish for a better care home. They also entertain them in the home and take them out if well enough to go out.
My mum was at Norwood Grange for 3 years until she sadly passed away. The care mum was given was exceptional she was loved and cared for, nothing was too much trouble and her every need was met. A first class home with first class staff.
Norwood Grange are amazing! They provide entertainment, activities and outings in order to keep residents occupied. These include knitting, singing, dancing, etc. The staff participate and encourage residents to take part and have an enjoyable experience. Brilliant to see smiling faces.
Our mum was a resident of Norwood Grange for over a year until she died in January 2017. We could not have wished for better staff to look after her she had Alzheimer's that's why she went into Norwood Grange and she was very happy there. The food and activities they provided for the residents were fantastic. We can not thank them enough for all they did for mum when she was alive and for all they did for mum and us when she was brought from the hospital back to Norwood Grange on end of life. They are all amazing staff.
Sadly my mother passed away in August. During her 3 years there, she received excellent care. She was treated with respect and all her needs were met. All the staff cared for her and though she had dementia, she was included in the majority of activities. My family cannot praise too highly the care that was given.
I'm particularly impressed with the innovative way they engage residents in activities and daily living, from regular outings to disability cycling and also involving residents in fundraising bike rides and walks.
All in all a brilliant place to be.
What's more, all staff get involved in their 'Friday Happy Hour' which residents love, especially my aunt!
The carers were second to none, the Dr who attended to the residents, including my husband, knew the first names of everyone and all their problems. She saw these patients whenever she was needed.
The home was very cosy and welcoming. Sadly my husband died in November and together with us, gave him 24hour care.
The atmosphere in the care home was pleasant and care was taken to engage the residents in various activities.
The only quibble I had was the perennial one about clothes going walkabout but all was resolved satisfactorily.
Unable to find fault with care or residence. The Grange far exceeded the standards I expected for a residential care home. The first time I walked into the building, all I felt was love and care. I was not wrong.
My grandad has been at Norwood Grange for about 4 months now and in that time we have found all staff to be excellent. They are fantastic with the residents and so caring and kind to them. My grandad is happy and settled in the home and all his needs are catered for. He is always clean and presentable and there is always different activities for him to join in with. A great home with excellent staff who genuinely care about their residents.
I have always found Norwood Grange welcoming, nice refurbishment ongoing, apt décor in relation to the residents. Always doing improvements. Good staff enthusiasm, teamwork.
The kitchen is run by contractors with friendly good staff. Whenever I visit Norwood the atmosphere is warm, friendly, so comfortable and I am made most welcome.
The team just go the extra mile for residents and visitors alike. When I leave and close the door behind me I know my Mum is in good hands.
The staff at Norwood Grange create a family atmosphere. They provide excellent care and support. They look after my father's needs and are unfailingly friendly and cheerful. My father is very happy and sings a lot - a marked change from the previous four years, or more, when he could never be described as happy. He is well fed, has his physical and medical needs properly met and catered for and Norwood Grange provides stimulating activities that are open to all residents. I'll give Norwood Grange 5* 10/10.
When my father arrived at this nursing home the staff made us very welcome and reassured us of all our fears, they made my dad feel very welcome and spoke and treated him as a normal human being, not someone who has dementia. Felt really at ease and welcomed.
I find the staff at Norwood very welcoming when I go to visit my uncle. He is 99 years old, has no dementia just a little frail. He can walk about with a frame and the carers always find time to talk to him and always try and sit him with someone of sound mind like him. Since being there approximately one month he has taken on three outings which I think is a very good thing for him. Whenever I go the staff are always doing activities with the residents which I think is a good thing.
I visit one lady to administer holy communion once very two weeks (same day so as not to confuse her) over the years I have visited a number of care homes and I think that Norwood grange is one of the best run, considerate staff, clean. The lady I visit is always well dressed. Pleasant surroundings.
