Dad has been here for about a month, he has settled really well and has improved both physically & mentally. The staff are approachable and seem to have a caring attitude and are always there to assist Dad when needed.
We are delighted to hear that your dad has settled in so well and that you have seen such positive improvements in both his physical and mental wellbeing during his first month with us. It means a great deal to our team to know that...
The last couple of days before she died the care family took my Mum, my sister and I under their wing and looked after all 3 of us and we were all truly grateful. Thank you
It was truly our privilege to care for your mum, even though her time with us was short. She was a remarkable lady, and we are...
Mum loves this place, plenty of activities through the week and get taken out on day trips. Staff are lovely and very helpful, glad Mum came here than been at home on her own.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that Mum is enjoying her time here and taking part in the activities and day trips. It means a lot to know that you feel supported by our staff and that Mum is happy and well cared for. We will continue to do our very best to make sure she feels at home and valued.
My mother has vascular dementia and I can honestly say I have not had any concerns with regard her care at Lofthouse Grange and Lodge. The carer staff are very attentive and seem to be aware of each of the residents failings. There are also two dedicated entertainment staff who keep the residents occupied with various activities and they also seem to bring in outside entertainers and have singalongs with the residents who all enjoy this.
We are also pleased...
During her stay she received an excellent standard of care
All of the staff from manager to carers and all of the support staff showed care and compassion at all times often under challenging conditions, and always with a smile
I would, and have, recommend this facility to anyone who is considering a kind and respectful environment
Your recognition of the care and compassion shown by...
Mum moved in 2022 & from the start with Chloe, Stacey, Jess, Sarah & the care assistants mums time living there has been comfortable, caring, safe & the communication I've received has been friendly & professional.I have noticed however over the last 12-18 months a couple of agency staff have been disinterested in their shift & had to be asked more than twice to complete a task but the senior/ regular staff have remained patient. Some of the night staff could perhaps take a little more time with helping to dress mum, I visit on a weekly sometimes twice weekly basis & have noticed mum not wearing alot of her new tops I've found them on the floor of the wardrobe & because she is short has worn them without bottom halves, I understand she may not always be compliant but this can leave her prone to showing the tops of her thighs, I haven't yet mentioned this to any staff as hopefully they will supply a blanket when I'm not there & she's seated in a comfy chair.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful message and for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly grateful that your mum has been with us since 2022, and it's heartening to hear that her time at Lofthouse has felt comfortable, caring, and safe. Your kind words about Chloe, Stacey, Jess,...
He had been there over 12 months I did send an email to the Orchard head office but got no reply,
Very disappointing especially after the cost of care to our family
Thank you for your message, and for your kind words about the team who supported your stepfather during his time with us. We were truly sorry to hear of his passing, and we send our continued condolences to you and your family. Please accept our sincere apologies for the upset and disappointment...
My father lived here for more than 2 years. He was very well cared for, well fed and happy. He made many friends amongst residents and staff. He was comfortable and safe.

Your feedback means a great deal to us, and we appreciate the trust you placed in our team.
Whilst the facilities may look a little tired, the staff and care far outweigh the first impressions. The staff are friendly, caring and engaging with the residents and families.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind words. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your impressions. While we continually strive to improve our facilities, it is incredibly heartwarming to know that our team's dedication and care have left such a positive impact. Our staff takes...

My husband spent 4 weeks respite at Lofthouse Grange whilst I left the country. He was well looked after and I had no worries at all about his care. I was able to facetime him a few times a week and he always looked happy. Thank you to all the team.
The love, kindness and excellent care given during Dad's 3 years of living in the dementia unit were second to none. There were some challenges during that time with Dad's behaviour. The team worked alongside outside agencies to ensure that these were managed in both Dad's and other residents best interests.
The team knew his interests and his favourite song and encouraged him to participate in the numerous activities as long as he was able.
In his final days, the compassion and support we received were exceptional and he couldn't have been cared for better. We were so lucky that Dad lived in such a fantastic environment and was able to die there surrounded by people who cared.
When he died, with no input from us, he was dressed in a shirt and tie just as he would have wanted. The feedback we received, not from Lofthouse staff, was that he looked very smart.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It truly means a lot to hear that you had a positive experience with the care provided. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes for those we care for, and your feedback is a testament to their hard work and commitment. We are grateful for your trust and support.
Mum was in Lofthouse Grange for 13 months, she was 94 years old when she first went into the home. She was very active and joined in all the activities and made friends with the other residents. For the last 3 months, Mum was on end-of-life care. All the staff and management team have been wonderful during this time. I cannot fault the care she received. They treated her with dignity, respect, love and kindness. The care and attention when she became bedbound was marvellous. They were also a massive support for us, her family. While we visited her every day, knowing she was well cared for when we weren't there was priceless. Thank you for your help and support during her last weeks and days of life.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to us to know that our care has made a positive impact. We strive to provide the best possible service, and your feedback reassures us that we're on the right track.
The staff are lovely and listen and care for residents.
The room was in need of decoration and the bathroom needed updating.
Thank you so much for your kind words about your husband's stay at our care home. We're delighted to hear that you had a positive experience. Our team works hard to provide the best care and comfort and it's wonderful to know that our efforts are appreciated. If there's anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to let us know. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
Poor bedding and beds are rarely made before evening time.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience with our service. We strive to provide high-quality care to our residents. We understand that maintaining a profiling bed can indeed be challenging. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to making things right.
The care that our dad received in Lofthouse Grange & Lodge was excellent, unfortunately, Dad was only in for 4 months before he sadly passed. The management & carers at the home were fantastic, they looked after him with compassion & dignity and catered to his needs, they kept us informed on every aspect of Dad's care and if they had any concerns would get in touch to let us know. Dad was on the Dementia floor, the staff were so caring with the residents making sure they were treated with dignity and respect. I loved how they would take time to ensure their hygiene was at its best even blow-drying their hair. We always felt welcome at the home and as a frequent visitor, it made each visit a pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the home was excellent the cleaners kept the place spotless, as was Dad's room. Dad's room was of a good standard as were his en suite facilities. The food was of a good Standard. An Excellent choice.
Many thanks for your positive review. Your wonderful comments have been passed on to the team, who will be delighted to hear your feedback, as they work hard to deliver high standards of quality care from the heart at all times, thank you.
What a wonderful place Lofthouse Grange Care Home is, the management and staff were so welcoming and accommodating from the first day my late father arrived. He was treated with such care and dignity right until he passed away, the staff were incredibly professional and so caring towards my father. Nothing was too much trouble and my sister and I were made so welcome when we visited. Also the home was so clean and well-run I would highly recommend Lofthouse Grange Care Home to anyone.
We really appreciate your wonderful feedback and your recognition of our team and their dedication, they will be touched to hear your lovely comments!
My Mother-in-law has been a resident for 2 weeks now. Staff have been welcoming and are making every effort to know her and understand her needs. She was recently taken ill and staff initiated calling for advice and getting out-of-hours GP to visit. Night staff assisted by quickly getting medication and essential items together for me at 5 am to take to the hospital. Nothing was too much trouble and they have shown genuine concern. Thank you.
The activities are well thought about and they try to involve as many residents as possible. I'm on the website for this care home. It's lovely I can see my mum joining in and looks to be enjoying herself.
Once the gardens are tended it will be nice for residents to sit outside and get some fresh air. And family to sit outside also with there family.
