My mam moved here on September 15th 2021, as her previous home was closing down. The transition made was flawless (home managers were excellent). We were made very welcome, as was my mam. Staff introduced themselves and keep us updated. Clean, big room. Food looks lovely. Communication very good.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. We are delighted that you are happy with our service, and we could support you and your mum with the transition to make this process a little less distressing.
I had my first visit last week, which was all really well organised, and I felt safe and very well looked after.
The activities that are provided at Lofthouse at the moment are absolutely brilliant, the pictures tell their own story, the residents all look so happy, it’s lovely to see.
I have found the manager very approachable, and easy to talk to, should you need her for anything. I feel comfortable in that my friend is well looked after and receiving the best possible care.
Kind regards, Marsha Tuffin
What can I say, Lofthouse care home have been amazing in taking full care of my mum's needs from start to finish. The transition from her own home to this care home was a smooth process, and the management has been fully cooperative throughout the more and whilst my mum has been in the care home.
Kind regards, Marsha Tuffin.
Every member of staff have the same ethos, very caring and understanding of individual needs. They cared for my dad in his last months when Mum and I couldn't. Every part of the home was spotless and well looked after. I know my dad went into the best possible care home and received the best care possible. I know I chose right and that helps. Can't thank the team enough and always recommend Lofthouse Grange & Lodge. Fantastic during covid.
Kind regards, Marsha Tuffin.
My brother and I are delighted with the care and support he received. The staff are very approachable, friendly and professional. The services are excellent. The rooms were clean and very suitable for their purpose. The food was very tasty and tea was available regularly. The staff on the wards took time to talk to the patients, really getting to know them! A personal service. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Marsha Tuffin.
Our 86 year old mum fell and badly broke her arm in mid December 2020. She was hospitalised for 4 weeks and then required respite and recuperation. As a family we were worried and anxious about finding the right care home. What a blessing to find Lofthouse Grange and Lodge. From the first conversation with the home manager to the moment when Mum returned home, absolutely everything about the care and support was amazing. The unit manager and team were absolutely brilliant in looking after Mum with reassurance and kindness at this extremely difficult time. Particular mention must be made on the communications that we as a family had with both the home and unit manager which were open, honest and always with a willingness to help in any way possible. We thank you so much!
Kind regards, Marsha Tuffin.
The manager and the team are extremely supportive of Mum's needs. They are in regular contact with updates.
Kind Regards,
Lindsey Tyreman, Unit Manager
My dad has resided at Lofthouse Grange & Lodge for over 3 years but this year, due to Covid, has been extremely difficult for all the residents and their loved ones. Having visited Dad on a regular daily basis I was truly beside myself wondering how he'd cope not seeing my sister and I but my angst was soon put to rest, all the staff within the home have done, and still are doing, a tremendous job. My dad is well cared for and more importantly loved, his changing needs are met on every level. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the care, love and dedication. Thank you so very much.

During the period Dad was at the home, we always felt he was well cared for. Communication was great and everything was managed particularly well over the last few months which could have been so much worse were it not for the efforts of the manager and her team. We will always be grateful.

Mum has been so much more happier since moving into Lofthouse Grange, the staff have been marvellous, especially during the COVID pandemic. We have had no issue what so ever and have every confidence that Mum is being cared for by a wonderful and dedicated team. We have regular video chats which always put a smile on Mum's face. All in all we can't fault Lofthouse and the care it provides.

After being assessed my mum was recommended to go into long term residential care but having to find a new home under lockdown was a task without being able to visit in person. I was drawn to Lofthouse Grange by a friend’s recommendation and after viewing the online video. I was also given the opportunity to view my mum's potential room via video phone call. The room was perfect and so were the facilities on offer. I advised our social worker I wanted a room at this place for my mum, the admission was quick and went smoothly with the help of the care home manager and her admin staff. My mum moved in a month ago and she has settled in very well. She has her own personal effects around her and has made some friends amongst some of the residents. I was even sent a video message of her joining in a social event they were having one day; she was dancing with her zimmer. It was lovely to see this, and I was grateful for them sending me this, made me feel happy I had chosen the right place for my mum.

My step-dad has just returned from a week's respite and seemed pretty happy about the place. However, he has dementia and doesn’t always know what’s going on or what he has done. So when my mum picked him up to come home and asked him what he had been doing he replied: “nothing really”. We were told that there are various activities on through the week such as games afternoon and singing etc but when we asked him he said there was nothing on. It would have been nice to have some sort of report about his stay explaining what he had been up to and eaten etc. When my mum brought him in there was nobody to greet her to settle him in, as there was a staff meeting going on, even though she had rung to confirm what time he was arriving. The main room could do with extra comfy chairs as there wasn’t enough. On the plus side the place is very clean, tidy and the staff very friendly and he said the food was good.

The staff are all so helpful and have a very caring attitude. Nothing is too much trouble and it's obvious this comes across to the residents. They are treated with the utmost respect even when the staff are under pressure. I really feel that moving dad to Lofthouse Grange has made his last years comfortable and even extended his life. They have taken away his day to day worries that come with having dementia.

This followed a fall at home, and wandering into the street after midnight on three occasions.
We were welcomed by friendly staff and carers, who continued to look after her well.
Only moving her to a different home as it is nearer to her home, so she is nearer to me and her friends, neighbours and church friends.

My mum came to stay at Lofthouse Grange and Lodge on a respite basis after my dad had an accident which meant he couldn’t look after her. The manager was brilliant and came out to see us at the family home within hours of us making the call. She was so kind and my mum took to her straight away. She trusted her and it meant my mum went happily into respite care. Whilst there, my mum was well looked after. The staff were kind and there were plenty of activities to keep mum occupied. She loved making mince pies! Her room was clean, modern and spacious with all the facilities she needed. We were always made to feel welcome when we visited and the lounge, always had plenty of people, singing along to war songs, watching TV or just chatting. It would be my first choice should we need respite or permanent care in the future.

My gran is almost 100. She lived in her own home up until 10 weeks ago when she was in the hospital and a different home where she was very unhappy. Lofthouse Grange was recommended, and we have not been disappointed. Every member of staff has been so caring and kind, it has been a very rocky road, but my gran is finally happy, each and every member of staff has made her feel so special and wanted. It has given us ease knowing she is being cared for so well. I would highly recommend.

Mum loves being in Lofthouse, she has friends, she does more activities than me and she is thriving. Thank you so much for everything at such a difficult period in our lives. You should be very proud.

Cooks are very considerate. Grandma needs gluten-free meals which they are happy to provide.
Unfortunately, they are under-staffed so activities are very limited.
