My mother has been living at The Croft for several months now. The staff are brilliant, very understanding, caring and supportive. They do their very best for my mother and she has thrived so much living in The Croft.
My mother loves the food provided. Meals are of a high standard and prepared daily.
I have been able to enjoy lots of quality time with my mother which is fantastic. The Croft look after her and her needs exceptionally well. She loves living at The Croft. The home is cleaned to a high standard and the day to day caring of all residents is lovely to see.
Thank you for all you do for the residents, it is appreciated and I am very grateful to all staff for looking after my mother. The atmosphere is always cheerful, laughter and smiles from both staff and residents. You all do a brilliant job and you allow people like me to know my mother is happy, safe and well looked after, I am so pleased she is in your care. From the bottom of my heart - Thank you so much indeed.

Having visited my father regularly when up from Worcestershire, I would like to say how caring and understanding all the staff are when clearly so busy, supporting my family in addition to doing their best for dad. I and mum have noted that the food is of such a high standard with meals prepared from
fresh ingredients daily. We were treated to a little lunch on Friday, the ham pie and beef were so tender and absolutely delicious. Thank you to the chef for your wonderful cooking and also to your colleagues in the kitchen on other days. A big thank you to all staff who work so hard. So, so much appreciated.

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
