My mum was a resident. We put in a complaint after finding my mother left in bed until lunchtime she had not been washed with no food or drink and her catheter full to bursting on the floor. We told staff after this day she had no drink or a beaker. Her bathroom stunk of urine and some days the corridors also stunk of urine. She was left in bed most days so we had no alternative to remove her and take her to a better place.

Mum resided on Sandringham Wing for two years and due to her mobility issues, needed support with her personal care needs. Mum felt that the staff treated her with patience and respect and she valued the care, kindness and attention they provided to her.

Mum resided on Sandringham Wing for two years and due to her mobility issues, needed support with her personal care needs. Mum felt that the staff treated her with patience and respect and she valued the care, kindness and attention they provided to her.
When visiting I always found the staff to be welcoming, approachable, friendly and helpful with a few of the staff taking the time to make me a cuppa, which when you know the demands and how many people they are caring for was appreciated
The home is clean and the communal areas have been refreshed and chairs replaced. An observation is that the en-suite although adequate could have done with updating.
When mum died I went to clear her room and collect her belongings, the staff on Sandringham supported me in this difficult task and also helped me take her possessions to the car which made a sad occasion easier.
A massive thank you to all staff involved in mums care. You know individually what you did for her.

We have a hospitality team who devise seasonal new menus on a four weekly rolling basis. Daily choices are offered at the point of service and we are happy to offer other alternatives if required. Your sister joins and chats with other Residents in the dining room and she is offered activities daily however she is a very private person and her choice is to stay in her room. I have requested the Wellbeing Coordinator to visit your sister regularly to try to engage and encourage her with her own interests. Please do not hesitate to liaise with home management with any concerns you may have, we are always happy to help.

This care home gives value for money, they do everything they can to help the residents or those on respite feel secure and safe. Some of the carers go that extra mile to help all those in their care. Nothing is too much, they do all they can to help.

She moved to Windsor Court in August 2021, when the home was rated Inadequate, and together with a dedicated team brought it up to standard, achieving a rating of Good at its last CQC inspection in 2025. It was an achievement the whole team was thrilled with. Julie and her team thrive on enhancing residents' lives and ensuring their needs are met every day, and have built a strong reputation with the local community, professionals, and families. She is now the Home Administrator, where her duties range from answering the door and phone and handling enquiries to general office work. She supports staff, residents and families alike.
