Windsor Court Care Home, located in an attractive residential area of Goole in Yorkshire, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential, nursing and dementia care.

The friendly and comfortable home offers a place for residents to relax, unwind and socialise with friends and family, the lovely en-suite bedrooms, hair salon, café, pub are all on hand for residents to enjoy and the wellbeing programme helps residents to maintain their hobbies, learn new hobbies and to have opportunities to engage with the local community.

Mum resided on Sandringham Wing for two years and due to her mobility issues, needed support with her personal care needs. Mum felt that the staff treated her with patience and respect and she valued the care, kindness and attention they provided to her.


When visiting I always found the staff

to be welcoming, approachable, friendly and helpful with a few of the staff taking the time to make me a cuppa, which when you know the demands and how many people they are caring for was appreciated


The home is clean and the communal areas have been refreshed and chairs replaced. An observation is that the en-suite although adequate could have done with updating.


When mum died I went to clear her room and collect her belongings, the staff on Sandringham supported me in this difficult task and also helped me take her possessions to the car which made a sad occasion easier.


A massive thank you to all staff involved in mums care. You know individually what you did for her.

My sister has been a resident for 3 months.
Carers are helpful and kind. Food Ok but menu could do with changing more frequently - monotonous after a while. Overall satisfactory. My sister is physically frail but mentally bright.
Most occupants of one residential wing seem to be confused - therefore
no one to have a chat to.

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are very sorry that you feel the menu choices are monotonous. We have a hospitality team who devise seasonal new menus on a four weekly rolling basis. Daily choices are offered at the point of service and we are happy to offer other alternatives if required. Your sister joins and chats with other Residents in the dining room and she is offered activities daily however she is a very private person and her choice is to stay in her room. I have requested the Wellbeing Coordinator to visit your sister regularly to try to engage and encourage her with her own interests. Please do not hesitate to liaise with home management with any concerns you may have, we are always happy to help.

This care home gives value for money, they do everything they can to help the residents or those on respite feel secure and safe. Some of the carers go that extra mile to help all those in their care. Nothing is too much, they do all they can to help.

Visited a friend around 2pm 14th Nov and the whole home stunk of urine. This is not acceptable, is not dignified for residents. Also, a wheelchair my friend used to walk with had no working brakes and was dirty. I did report this to a member of staff (about the brakes) and she made no response.

We work extremely hard to keep the building clean and odour free for our residents to live in and feel like home. The equipment in the care home is provided for a specific resident and is not for communal use. I have taken on board your comments and we will endeavour to ensure you receive a better experience in future visits.

Although my mum was well looked after, always clean and tidy, hair done, I think more staff would be better, especially, at weekends when staff seem to be minimal. I would like to say that all the staff were very nice and helpful.

My mother has lived at Windsor Court in Goole for 2 1/2 years and although her dementia is increasing the staff remain patient, kind and caring in every degree.


I would recommend Windsor Court to others who have relatives who find they can no longer live at home.

I came from another care home but I do like this one, my own room is cleaned daily, the staff are kind, polite and hard working. The food is good with plenty of choices. I get up when I want, I please myself.

As a Heath Care Professional, Julie has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at HC-One since September 2021, Julie closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Julie remarked:


“Seeing motivated staff and well cared for Residents.”


Julie believes her biggest achievement is living day to day as she believes she faces different challenges of life every day.


Outside of work, Julie enjoys going away on family breaks at the weekends to unwind.
