My dad was in Kesteven Grange, he went in for end of life care. The staff were excellent they gave my dad the care support and dignity that he deserved. I can't thank them enough, they kept me informed of any changes and nothing was too much for them. I would truly recommend Kesteven Grange Care Home to anyone who's looking for a care home for their loved ones, all the staff were approachable all other residents seemed very happy and settled.

The care my nana (oldest lady in East Riding at 109 – twenty-fourth eldest in the UK) has received over the last 18 months has been impeccable. The food, rooms, facilities etc are of the highest standard. All the carers and staff have worked tirelessly to make sure my nana (and all the other residents) have been cared for and protected during this pandemic, all the staff have risen to the challenge with pure dedication and professionalism. We would highly recommend Kesteven Grange.

If your relative needs a little extra care then this is not the care home for your loved one. Reasons:
Told that my mum had settled and asking questions, I pointed out that mum was aphasic and couldn’t ask questions for the last 14 years but was told “well she did!”.
After asking twice for Mum to be weighed due to her becoming thinner I was told forcefully that “they only weigh them when they come in and go home”.
I reminded the staff that Mum must not stand without her special boots after she sustained a foot wound. Was told she was standing with no boots and even walking a few steps. I repeated this warning but they only took notice after I informed them she will break her ankle if they continued.
There is more I could mention, some are third party conversations so unfair for me to comment on those.
Some staff were very helpful and kind it is a shame that others are bringing this care home to an inadequate level.

Mum was admitted to the hospital and will not be returning.

We are sorry that you found the care delivered to your mother was not at the expected high standard and we have investigated the points you have raised to us. Your mother was indeed aphasic, however she was known to speak very short sentences and communicated well with staff that she recognised,...

From day 1 and arrival wondering what to expect, I was very nervous but was quickly put at ease by one of the staff who led me through to a large room 'The Lounge' and was very surprised to hear music being played by 'Queen' at a very low level and very warming to hear it was my favourite band.

Mum is very happy at Kesteven Grange. She is nicely cared for, all the staff knows her and me, they look after her very well. They do a difficult job well. I am kept informed about what is going on. I do not live locally so during the recent pandemic I have been unable to see her in person, however, I have had the opportunity to have video calls with her which is reassuring.

The care my mum has received over the last 12 months has been outstanding. The carers have worked tirelessly to make sure my mum (and all the other residents) have been cared for and protected during an awful period. Because we haven’t been able to visit we have been able to video call, had zoom sessions with other relatives and updates regularly. I know that all the brilliant entertainment, hairdresser and other support have not been able to visit but all the staff have risen to the challenge. I know that without them all I would not have coped not seeing my mum. My brothers and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My relative has been a resident of Kesteven Grange for around 6 months. In that time the staff have provided a safe, clean, welcoming, friendly and caring environment for him. All of that with the extra challenges of Covid. The home is very well managed and the staff or always helpful. I would seriously consider Kesteven Grange if your loved one is in need of care, couldn't recommend it highly enough.

My Auntie is truly loved and cherished by all the care staff and they have supported her and me from the day she was admitted. Today it was her 105th Birthday and they pulled out all the stops to make her day memorable by singing outside of the visiting pod and Birthday signage and balloons to decorate the pod, even a glass of wine and cake provided.
The care team keep me fully informed in relation to any health issues and I know are always happy to help and assist with any concerns I may have regarding my Aunt's health and well-being.

My Auntie always tells me the care team are lovely and the food is very good.

Both my parents were in Kesteven Grange and I can't thank them enough for the exceptional care, support and kindness they both received from all staff.

Sadly, my mum passed away and the loving care and kindness they showed towards my dad afterwards was above and beyond their duties and we are eternally grateful.
