Ascot House offers long term, respite and day care within a home full of character in a central, yet peaceful, town location. An excellent team of experienced, dedicated carers are devoted to the well-being of everyone living at the home, with a focus on independence and freedom of choice. Tasty, nutritious food is made onsite every day from fresh ingredients and special diets can be catered for.

All bedrooms are en-suite, tastefully decorated and fully furnished. It is also
able to offer 'companion rooms' which are suitable for couples. The home itself sits within delightful, lawned gardens with a private courtyard accessed through one of the sitting rooms.

Minibus trips run regularly to places such as the seaside, the theatre, or even just an ice cream in the countryside. Their in-house activities co-ordinator creates, with input from the residents, a whole range of stimulating and enjoyable ways to spend the day for those who wish to participate.

Moving my mum has been emotional and challenging but the manager and all the care staff have been so lovely and accommodating to make the move for mum into full-time care as easy as possible. The staff are so bright, and cheery and can't do enough, she's had help feeding at meal time and nothing is
too much trouble. Good contact, 1-1 from carers to Mum.
All the rooms are bright and cheery, and her room has recently been redecorated and I have been able to bring some treasured items and belongings to make it homely and cosy.
Communication between myself and the team is excellent, and I feel listened to and accepted relating to Mum's care needs and how she is settling in. The staff are well briefed, and Mum's daily needs are being met in a way which leaves me less stressed than I was before. Mum is safe, clean, and within the parameters of her dementia, is happy.
I've had a couple of telephone calls keeping me in the loop with information (very appreciated).

My sister and I are pleased Mum is here as she is safe now. Thankful that the staff encourage her to do things she might not want to do but make her life safer and more enjoyable. It is good when Mum sits for meals and in the sitting room where she can talk to others too, even though the conversation
may not make sense!
Even when under pressure, staff have been very thoughtful in how they talk to Mum. Sometimes she has a feeder cup which she does not need and is given sandwiches she does not like.

All members of staff are caring, compassionate and friendly maintaining a homely environment for my stepfather. Right to his passing they showed dignity, love and care towards my stepfather and us as a family and even when they are rushed off their feet they always made time for us. The building is
a bit tired in places but that's up to the owners to sort out, but overall the staff make it homely.

All of the staff are lovely and very very approachable during what is a difficult time for my mum. They are welcoming and sure my mum is safe and happy at all times. She is very well looked after and I would recommend Ascot House to anyone.

Our first day here and very impressed. Our uncles seems very happy. All staff are very attentive. Impressed that the manager still comes in on a weekend (Sunday).

Staff always friendly to visitors. Made welcome when visiting - always tea/biscuits offered.
Home very clean and well-presented.
Communal rooms very clean and well furnished.
Definitely no unpleasant urine smell anywhere which is a huge positive.
Not eaten a meal here but meals looked well presented
and attractive when given to residents.

Lovely home, outstanding care and communication with family.
Nothing is to much bother they have the best interests of the residents all the time.
Always there to help.

I am very happy with my husband's care at Ascot House Care Home, "home from home". The food is excellent. Very clean. Staff and management are very friendly. He seems very settled in this care home.

Ascot House, every time I drop Dad off and pick up, I always find he has had a lovely time and highly thinks well of all staff. He often speaks about how loving and caring and respectful one member of staff, in particular, is.
I would highly recommend anybody to stay at Ascot House as staff and management
always give 100 percent at everything.

My dad was admitted to hospital after a fall at home which resulted in him having pneumonia, heart failure and low oxygen. Dad couldn't cope at home and admitted to going into a care home was the best thing for him. The manager made us all welcome as well as the staff, in the six days he was there,
he was treated with dignity, respect, compassion etc. We felt we and Dad were part of a big family. Dad passed away after six days in Ascot House and he was very well cared for, nothing was any trouble to any of the staff or the manager.

My mother and father-in-law had five weeks of respite in Ascot House recently due to a sudden illness. They were treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff couldn't do enough for them and the manager was always available to offer help and support not only to Mum and Dad but to us as a family
as well. We would like to thank them for their devoted care at a very difficult time.

The only reason the two marks are only good is because I have never seen these. Everything is excellent and I don't think my Mum could be in a better place. The staff are very good, they put themselves out for me because my mum has dementia and for some reason will not have anything to do with me. If
it wasn't for their ideas, I would never see her. They put themselves out for me.

My father-in-law stayed with Ascot House for ten days of respite. He enjoyed everything about Ascot and said he would like to go back soon. I would like to say Ascot House is home from home with every carer doing 100% care as if it were family. Management does a fantastic job too. 100% commitment and
communication skills with the carers and residents and relatives. Ascot House is excellent and I will remain with them for respite.

We cannot praise the staff at Ascot House enough for their care and support given to my mother-in-law and our family. The residents are able to move into the different lounge areas or their rooms as they wish with support if necessary. The environment is certainly a home-from-home. Warm, cosy and welcoming,
refreshments are always available to residents and their visitors. Definitely recommend the coffee. Excellent support to the family when dealing with outside agencies. Thank you.
