Ascot House

Everything is to an excellent standard. The staff are lovely.

The only reason the two marks are only good is because I have never seen these. Everything is excellent and I don't think my Mum could be in a better place. The staff are very good, they put themselves out for me because my mum has dementia and for some reason will not have anything to do with me. If it wasn't for their ideas, I would never see her. They put themselves out for me.

My father-in-law stayed with Ascot House for ten days of respite. He enjoyed everything about Ascot and said he would like to go back soon. I would like to say Ascot House is home from home with every carer doing 100% care as if it were family. Management does a fantastic job too. 100% commitment and communication skills with the carers and residents and relatives. Ascot House is excellent and I will remain with them for respite.

We cannot praise the staff at Ascot House enough for their care and support given to my mother-in-law and our family. The residents are able to move into the different lounge areas or their rooms as they wish with support if necessary. The environment is certainly a home-from-home. Warm, cosy and welcoming, refreshments are always available to residents and their visitors. Definitely recommend the coffee. Excellent support to the family when dealing with outside agencies. Thank you.

I love living here and am settled here. The manager and staff are lovely.

I noticed a big change in my wife after one week and I would like her to come back again for some more rest time.

The manager and her team were brilliant.

The manager and care assistants are very engaging and seem to really care about the residents. Lots of smiles. Always willing to listen to suggestions and very good at problem-solving even the smallest of queries. My mum has anxiety but she feels secure and comfortable.

My Mum has been a resident for over a year now, the manager and her staff made her welcome from day one. She's the happiest I've seen her for a long time. She suffers from dementia and can be chaotic a lot of the time, but the staff have been nothing other than patient and caring with her, she's safe, well-fed (she loves the food) and cared for, but the staff are there for the wider family too, that's important to me because when all said and done, my mum is important to me, they listen to us, to our concerns, keep us informed when we need to be informed. I have nothing but admiration for the team at Ascot House.

Although my brother wasn't a resident for very long before his sudden and unexpected death, we found the care to be excellent. Staff went out of their way to assist us, including meeting at the bank to sort out accounts. Staff were always pleasant and welcoming. After our loss, we couldn't have asked for more loving and caring support.

Myself and my daughters have recently started to visit my mother-in-law (their grandma) at Ascot House. On our visits, the security measures to enter the building are excellent, giving us confidence in her safety. We have found the staff to be pleasant and caring to everyone. The senior on shift was happy to listen and reassure us about her health and the care that's given. There is plenty of staff around, and they seem to be competent in their role. It is clean with no unpleasant odours. Very happy with what we have seen.

I was thrilled with Ascot House. The staff are lovely and the residents seem very content. My uncle was moved here recently and he seems very happy and settled. Overall extremely happy. Very homely rooms and comfortable recreation rooms.

From the day our mother entered Ascot House, the staff have bent over backwards to make her feel at home. The food has been extremely good to the point that she has regained a healthy weight. Visits are not a problem. Parking is on the doorstep or extra behind. We as a family are extremely happy with the care provided. After having some bad care at other places, we feel that we are in a good position to know the difference.

My daughter and I viewed Ascot House before choosing it for a period of respite for my husband and we were totally confident that he would be well cared for. The manager obviously works from the heart and this is being transferred to her deputy too. They are hard workers and it shows. You should be proud of the care that is given.

Ascot House has confirmed my first impressions that the home and its staff are first class. The home is perfect for my mum's needs and the staff are friendly and supportive and consistently keep me up to date on all the appropriate matters. I'm very pleased with the decision to choose Ascot House.

My nan has recently come to Ascot House after a second stroke. The home and staff are lovely and my nan certainly seems to have settled in well.

Big shout out to all the staff and the Manager at Ascot House for their kind and caring treatment of my relative who has resided there for a year now. I feel everyone at the home knows my brother individually and his care needs - this has been especially important recently. Communication is excellent with friendly staff keeping me informed of any welfare or health issues.

Ascot House is an ideal home for me, it gives me great pleasure to be here. It has facilities that I like to use such as playing cards, skittles, and dominoes.
