Carisbrooke Manor is set in countryside on the outskirts of Scunthorpe, and provides long term, respite and day care for older people and those with dementia needs. Set within large gardens, this beautiful home is largely purpose built, yet retains a homely feel from the original 1920s building, and is set around a lovely courtyard with raised flower beds where many residents enjoy relaxing or helping look after the plants.

Their outstanding team of dedicated carers take pride in treating everyone with dignity and as an individual. Delicious, healthy, home cooked food is freshly prepared throughout each day and special diets can be catered for. A full program of entertainment and activity is thoughtfully put together by their specialist coordinator with input from the residents themselves. Regular trips out are arranged and might include a visit to Bransby Horses or a spot of lunch somewhere.

Carisbrooke Manor offers en suite bedrooms across two floors, all rooms are fully furnished to a high standard and tastefully styled. There is a choice of sitting rooms and dining rooms overlooking the courtyard or the gardens.

Mum felt very happy and contented at Carisbrooke Manor Care Home. Nothing was too much trouble for the carers. We could call when we wanted and the phone would always be passed to Mum so we could chat. Mum also loved the food. The previous care home did not provide such tasty, fresh food. Unfortunately,
Covid restrictions were a burden at times but every effort was made by Carisbrooke to cause as little disruption as possible. I was very happy with how Carisbrooke cared for Mum.

My mother has been extremely well cared for. I could not hope or expect better anywhere or from anyone else. The staff are always very professional, efficient, courteous, caring and friendly. I cannot recommend this care home any higher.

Our mum stayed approximately nine months until she died a few weeks ago.
The staff showed amazing love, care and kindness to her and us, especially during her last few days.

Mum has needed to be in the competent care of Carisbrooke now for around 3 years now.
Sadly, Dad's reduced mobility has caused him to join mum there for the last year now too.
Care is second to none, nothing is too much trouble for the attentive staff. Even the kitchen staff are happy to churn out
tea/coffee and biscuits at a moment’s notice any time of our visits.
Management are easily accessible there too should the need arise.
Notice board always keep everyone updated to the present and next events within the home.
Reassuringly, mum and dad are well fed, well cared for as well as safe - a big relief for the whole of our family (and coming from us - mainly former, local NHS staff) is saying something.
So, well done Carisbrooke - keep up the good work. On behalf of mum, dad and the rest of our family.

Carisbrooke Manor has been the perfect home for Mum and Dad. The staff are extremely professional and very caring. The accommodation, although not perfect, is more than adequate - only minor decoration required. We as a family would highly recommend this care home.

Since my mother arrived at the home in January I have nothing but praise for the way she has been looked after by the staff, nothing is too much trouble. This has helped her settle in very quickly and has been a great help to me. Visiting at any time of the day is a great help and the atmosphere in
the home is always the same. If I ever need help or questions to ask, the manager is always available and helpful and her manner is friendly and reassuring.

All the staff go above and beyond in caring for my Mum. The food is excellent, Mum's room is lovely. There are lots of activities to keep her happy. The staff are open and friendly and we are welcome at any time.

I find this care home very good, staff are great.
Sometimes I find mum on a downer. I.e. Depressed. She would like some things to do, instead of sitting in chair all day. But overall I find mum is well cared for and safe. I might book a room for myself lol.

Following a fall and my mom breaking her arm and already with poor mobility - she was in Carisbrooke for respite/rehab care.
The staff at all levels were first-rate.
Very caring, supportive, respectful and nothing was too much trouble.
They helped restore her confidence as well as taking great care
of her and in such a friendly way as mom has a good sense of humour anyway and enjoyed the rapport with staff.
The food was very good and mom even had to ask for smaller portions.
For myself - knowing mom was in such safe, caring hands meant peace of mind and could be at work knowing she was OK.

Mum came into the residential home after falling at home in April 2018. We found the carers and management very welcoming. Mum has settled in well as a family we are so pleased we were able to find the right home for our mum. They help mum with her needs and nothing is too much. We can't praise the
care home enough.

My wife suffered a broken leg and was placed in the care home until she could support herself, she is also on oxygen 24 hours a day.
The care she has received is first-rate, all the staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate.
We have made many friends here both with staff and residents.
She has
taken part in several of the many activities on offer and enjoyed her stay.
The food is varied and tasty.
Rooms are cleaned daily and are warm and inviting.

An excellent single storey building.
Light and airy and well designed.
All rooms have en-suite facilities, critical for dignity and privacy for our seniors.
No difficulty in selecting this care home as the right one for Mother.
With the help of the staff, Mother settled in well, enjoying the warm
rooms and the quality of the food.
There are always plenty of staff on duty with a friendly word and smile.
The home is not too large and has a 'family feel' and is encouraged to be your home from home.
Activities are well organised with trips out and activities to encourage participation and friendship.

My mother suffered with Alzheimer’s/dementia and needed full-time care as she was getting too difficult for my dad to care for. At Carisbrooke Manor, she received excellent care. The staff were happy, friendly and really gave of their time. They were very respectful and patient.
As my mother deteriorated
we received so much support from all staff and management. When Mum passed away, she was treated with dignity and all the family were fully supported.

I have spent the last six weeks as a resident at Carisbrooke Manor. During that time I have been treated with care, respect and friendliness. Every effort has been made to make sure that I am as happy and comfortable as possible. The food has a varied menu and a selection of dishes that are delicious
and also nicely presented. Clothes are well and carefully laundered. There is shopping available for any of my needs, pastimes for all tastes, a weekly visit from the hairdresser and welcome to visitors. I am content with every aspect.

The staff are fantastic. They handle difficult and emotional situations in a highly professional manner.
We have witnessed at first hand their caring approach to both my mother and other residents. All the staff have been very helpful and always with a smile.

My mother came for respite and has decided to stay here. Her room is always clean and the home, in general, has a very pleasant atmosphere. The carers are always smiling and ready to help with queries. They are very good with my mother and show her respect.
