Carisbrooke Manor is set in countryside on the outskirts of Scunthorpe, and provides long term, respite and day care for older people and those with dementia needs. Set within large gardens, this beautiful home is largely purpose built, yet retains a homely feel from the original 1920s building, and is set around a lovely courtyard with raised flower beds where many residents enjoy relaxing or helping look after the plants.

Their outstanding team of dedicated carers take pride in treating everyone with dignity and as an individual. Delicious, healthy, home cooked food is freshly prepared throughout each day and special diets can be catered for. A full program of entertainment and activity is thoughtfully put together by their specialist coordinator with input from the residents themselves. Regular trips out are arranged and might include a visit to Bransby Horses or a spot of lunch somewhere.

Carisbrooke Manor offers en suite bedrooms across two floors, all rooms are fully furnished to a high standard and tastefully styled. There is a choice of sitting rooms and dining rooms overlooking the courtyard or the gardens.

Right from the first day of visiting, we were greeted with a friendly disposition of all staff.
There was always someone there to answer our questions and queries.
The layout of the rooms is very friendly and warm.
The residents are all cared for with a calm and friendly manner.
There is also a
variety of day rooms with different functions as well as a lovely cool yard for residents and visitors to spend time during their stay.
I recommend the place for rest and care.

I am recovering from a major surgery and was feeling at rock bottom, unable to do anything for myself. I arrived a few days ago and I am beginning to have faith, I can get back home after the care I am receiving.
All the staff are excellent and the food is wonderful.

All the staff were very kind, helpful and respectful. My mum and dad had a joint room which had been freshly decorated specifically for them. Menus and dietary needs were taken into consideration. The home was very clean, welcoming and didn't smell. The food was freshly cooked.

All the carers in the home are very welcoming when I come to see mum. Always gives me all the information I need when asked. I am very happy that they have given mum encouragement to start eating again and drinking.

As a family, we have found Carisbrooke Manor to be an excellent care home for my father. The staff are all excellent at their jobs and take pride in what they do for each resident. I have experienced this myself on many occasions. Dad's health has improved so much and that itself is a huge relief to
us. The social side is also a huge part of resident's wellbeing and we are always invited to join in. The home is run extremely well and we have always found any time we need to know anything that we are always well informed. I personally cannot recommend Carisbrooke enough to anyone who is looking for any care.

My Mother has now stayed in Carisbrooke Manor twice on a respite basis and this would be our first choice if and when a permanent stay became an option. The staff are always friendly, helpful and caring towards both residents and visitors. We love the relaxed attitude which puts everyone at ease. The

Very friendly care staff who are most obliging to my father's needs. Haven't seen much in the way of activities throughout the day or many outings although I have been assured they do take place. Christmas party brilliant! So much hard work went into organising it as well as looking after the residents.
Laundry lady very good as must be a very difficult job sorting residents clothes. Father nearly always looks clean and tidy. Only once seen him in stained clothes. Generally very pleased with the care given at Carisbrooke Manor.

No problems with the home. If ever Mum is ill or needs an ambulance, we are informed. Food is good and whenever Mum wants a cup of tea, she gets one. Her clothes get washed and put away in her wardrobe. The staff are always helpful and if we have a query, someone sorts it.

My mother (who has just died) was in Carisbrooke Manor for five years and was well cared for. The care home was recommended to us by others who had relatives there. The residents are well cared for and treated with respect. There are no nasty smells when you enter and it is kept very clean. The staff
keep you well informed of any mishaps e.g falls and are very approachable at all times. I would certainly recommend this care home to anyone who cared about their relative.

This is a very friendly and welcoming home. The staff are lovely and go above and beyond to make sure my Grandma is looked after. The home is clean and tidy and has no odour. The manager has an open door policy and there is always someone available to talk to. There is regular entertainment in and out
of the home so my Grandma doesn't miss out on social interaction. There was never a doubt about which home I wanted my Grandma in. I wouldn't choose another.

This is the second year my mother has been a resident of Carisbrooke Manor and the service has proved excellent. The staff are its main asset as they are attentive, professional and approachable. Such was the poor physical condition of my mother that her end seemed near, but due to the staff at Carisbrooke
Manor, her condition has improved better than would have envisaged. My experience of care homes is limited, but I do not know of any way that the home could be improved upon.

My Father-in-Law goes two days a week for respite and in November he stayed for a four night period. It was his third time staying in and each time the care provided was excellent. He likes to go and the staff are all excellent with him. When you go to Carisbrooke it is like you are going to a family
home because of how it is. There is a lovely atmosphere here. All the residents I have spoken to seem really happy there.
