Grimston Court

Excellent respite care for twelve days for my 92-year-old mum. Wonderfully cared for, Mum enjoyed the luxury of a bath which she cannot have at home. Hairdresser did her hair. She loves the food, the staff are so attentive and she could not be in better hands.

I have always been very nervous and full of dread about Mum going into a home. Having only visited a couple many years ago to visit certain relations, they did not make a good impression. But, wow! Grimston Court have certainly changed all that. What an absolutely fabulous place. My mum is so happy and full of life since being there and I know how much she loves it. I have a real piece of mind knowing Mum is at Grimston and don't have to worry one bit! Thank you team Grimston.

Lovely to see everyone singing along with the singer and having an armchair boogie. The family love the Facebook posts showing what our loved ones get up to. My dad has always loved animals and it's great to see him handling them when they visit. Keep up the good work, Team Grimston.

Everybody has looked after my mother really well and are a credit to the care home. I have no complaints at all.

My mum stayed at this lovely care home for around 4 months. My brother and I were so impressed with the care and attention she received whilst there. My mum really enjoyed her time there - she really loved the staff, she told us all often enough. Unfortunately, my mum had to stay in a few different care homes and this was the best one by miles. Whenever we telephoned we were always impressed with all the staff. They were very knowledgeable with what was going on with my mum and you could tell they really cared. My mum had a really lovely room and the grounds are so beautiful. Thank you to all the staff at Grimston Court, you really should be recognised for your brilliant work ethic and care towards the elderly.

My father was at Grimston Court for 4 years. He was very contented there and became extremely fond of the staff. The carers were wonderful and always compassionate. They were fantastic throughout the pandemic and it was so reassuring for the family to know that my father was being so well cared for during that time.

Been looking after my mam for a few weeks now. She is very well cared for. I can't thank the staff enough for their excellent care and attention. They are always helpful when I phone. mam always speaks highly of staff and the good food. I'm quite happy for my mam to be there.

We are very grateful for the care Mum has received over the last five years. It was traumatic for her to have to move to residential care with dementia, but she has been in very good hands and has been consistently helped to make her home here. My aunt has been in Grimston Court for over six years. She has excellent care during this time and speaks very well of all the staff and appreciates their care. She is always clean and her room is kept clean and fresh. She is unable to join in with the activities now as she is bedridden but all the staff are kind and patient with her and she tells me the food is very good.

It's always a pleasure to visit my grandma at Grimston Court. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the facilities are always clean and pleasant. The care and kindness that the staff show my grandma is always evident, and it is a big relief to know that she is safe and being well cared for.

Within the limitations of no access due to Covid, we have no significant complaints regarding Mum's care and treatment. Your staff are a credit to your organisation and are unfailingly cheerful and positive.

I was received cordially and treated in a similar manner whilst I was in the care home. All that I saw was clean and tidy.

Mum entered the home on the first day of lockdown, so her possessions were left on the home doorstep. When I was able to go and peep through the window, I was delighted to see her photos on the wall and her ornaments displayed with the same care I would have done.

Couldn't be happier, staff are caring and compassionate at all times. Both parents have stayed a number of years over time. It is just Dad there now and the staff know his needs and moods and are good at keeping me and Mum in the loop. I wouldn't want Dad to be anywhere else. I can see that he is happy and relaxed in their company which is a great relief to the family.

All Mum's needs met.

The elderly lady for whom I am an attorney for, has lived at Grimston Court for over 6 years. She and the other residents have been kept safe over the most difficult 12 months for everyone concerned, much to the credit of the home’s staff and leadership from the Group’s Directors. Whilst visiting has not been without its’ challenges, the recent relaxation gave me the opportunity to meet with her in the conservatory that was much better. She was well and in good spirits. I was encouraged to see many of the members of staff that I knew from pre-Covid days working well and enthusiastically as ever. I do think a settled team is a happy team that is beneficial for all stakeholders. Keep up the good work.

Both my parents have dementia and have been residents for 2 years at Grimston Court. All the carers are very friendly and hard-working. The home puts on lots of activities which they share updates and photos on their social media page which is nice for me and my family to see. There is a Pod available which has made visiting possible through the difficult times this last year. Thank you all.

Firstly what a beautiful setting at Grimston Court, even though it is on the main road, the house is set back in tranquil gardens, and sometimes proud peacocks if you are lucky to see them. There is a large conservatory, a TV room, a dining room which is set out like a tea room and does not feel like a nursing home at all, and of course the main room where there are seats for all and a piano. The rooms are well equipped for the need of my mother. All the staff are so welcoming and helpful, always keeping us updated on my mother, should the need arise. I now WhatsApp video which is easy and quick to book in by sending an email. All the staff work extremely hard and are so lovely, I am pleased we picked Grimston Court for my mother. The food looks and smells delicious and even menus on the tables... Well done to all. Thank you seems too humble for what you do...
