My aunt is a resident at Orchard Mews Care Home, and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives.
The home has changed so much over recent months. It's always clean, well organised and has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are kind, caring and always go the extra mile for the residents.

Seeing my aunt so well looked after gives our family real peace of mind. Thank you to the whole team for everything you do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Orchard Mews to anyone looking for excellent care.

I can honestly say that the team at Orchard Mews went above and beyond in their care for my brother. He was left quite debilitated by a stroke and could be quite challenging at times, but, he was cared for with great dignity and respect. The kindness of the whole team was exceptional. The only reason he left orchard Mews was to be closer to family and friends. I cannot thank everyone enough for their support and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home.

My dad is well cared for here. The staff are lovely. The home is always clean and doesn't smell at all. The food is home cooked. The staff make sure there's something going on weekly and often take residents out if they wish. I feel really happy with my dad living here.

A huge Thankyou to the amazing team at Orchard Mews who looked after my Aunt so well

when she had to stay at OM for emergency respite care after a flood at her property, we had no concerns about asking if there was availability as her sister is currently a resident there, The whole team were so lovely and made her stay during a very unsettling time for her and us so much easier.

My Dad was a resident at Orchard Mews from January 2024 until he passed away there in October 2025. As a family we are so grateful to all the wonderful staff who looked after Dad so well, and who were also really supportive to the whole family. It isn't possible to put into words how important it is to a family to know that your loved one is being properly looked after and describe the peace of mind it gives when you know they are in the best possible place. We got all that from Dad's time Orchard Mews and we will never forget how much they did for him. A wonderful caring home, who also responded with such professionalism at the times when he had acute medical needs.

After a previous nightmare journey through adult social care system, I can't praise this home enough. Claire, the manager, is kind, welcoming and incredibly quick to respond to any issues and very understanding that strong emotions can be involved in these incidents, all of which have been resolved. I see my dad sustained weight, stay more cognitive and because of this, I get a few more moments to make him laugh, and I will always be grateful to them. I look forward to my day to see Claire, Gillian, who creates moments out of nothing - like my own job and she i's an incredible driver of fun and amusement for residents, which she continuously tries to include everyone. Lyn and I forgot a cleaning lady's name, they are both a joy and so thorough. Barry is just kind and great at his job, and Dorcas, of course. All of this adds up to me looking forward to seeing my dad, and I can rest knowing he is cared for.

I shall be deeply grateful to all the staff at Orchard Mews for the rest of my life. Quite simply they cared for my mother in a way that anyone could possibly hope for when entrusting the life of their loved ones to others. I was told that my mother had become "one of the family" at Orchard Mews and how genuinely true that was.
I am full of admiration for how hard the staff work. Yet their approach is gentle, kind, respectful and caring.
It is so sad to watch your loved one approach the end of life but there was fun and laughter and uplifting love shown throughout to my mother and to myself.
I can face the rest of my life with the confidence that my mother received the best possible care for the last one and a half years of her life.

The staff made that all-important difference. They are special people. Thank you for everything.

I went to visit my nan last Tuesday and she was in the middle of trying to do the exercises in a taichi session. It was quite a full house with a lot of residents participating. My daughter and I joined in as did my mam.
This care home has a lot of activities for the residents and really makes an effort to have a variety of things going on.

My mam suffers from dementia so she is probably unaware of what is happening a lot of the time but they really make sure that the dementia residents join in with everything that is going on if they want to.

All the staff from the manager down are friendly and approachable at all times. They have all gone over and above in enabling our sister to improve greatly in regards to her physical and mental well-being.

Her dignity and wishes are respected. A special thank you to the kitchen staff who have responded to and understood her dirty needs. A huge big thank you to all the staff for keeping her safe and cared for when we are not there.

I have visited this home almost every day since 24th January 2024, I find it difficult to find faults.
I think I have met and talked to most of the staff who I find very friendly and who I see doing their jobs really well. This care home is very clean, tidy and well looked after. Meals are presented beautifully and there are always assorted drinks. Rooms are really bright, warm and comfortable. Lady manager I see visiting patients regularly having conversations.

This review is my opinion.

We are so grateful to the manager and all the staff at Orchard Mews for their excellent care of my dad. The home is lovely and most importantly the staff are so warm and caring, nothing we have asked for is too much trouble. The level of nursing care available has been excellent. It means so much to know Dad is safe and well cared for.

Since my grandad arrived at Orchard Mews Care Home, the service he has been given has been outstanding. One of the young members of staff is an absolute treasure. She has such a lovely, warm and caring attitude. The dedication she puts into caring for my grandfather is fantastic! She is always smiling and it's great for us, as a family, to know that she is taking care of my grandfather's needs. Thank you so much.

My dad has been here since May this year, and I am very happy with all aspects of my dad's care. The food is excellent here also. I feel I can relax knowing my dad is well cared for. He gets showers daily and is always clean and tidy. I have no concerns whatsoever and find the staff easy to talk to regarding his care.
