Care home staff very helpful and caring from what we experienced.

Rooms a little small and single beds, with a leaking toilet which we kept reporting but no action taken. Home could do with decor update and access to garden through small conservatory difficult especially if someone using area. Front area has sitting chairs & tables but on grass so unsteady for zimmer users. Lots of other more modern & bright homes in area costing less. Assisted activities very inappropriate for some residents.

When we needed a care home - you were there!
The admission progress was handled with sympathy + care from management to carers.
Although it took a while for my wife to settle everything was handled well + professionally.
I was always kept informed and up to date with her care. Could not have asked for better or more.

Thank you Earsdon.

The staff are always approachable, helpful and friendly. They all know my mam, what helps to make her feel safe, cared for and happy. The events staff keep the positive energy up and my mam loves getting involved in the activities.

So pleased with the outcome of mams mood, she seems happier and keen to join in. I hope the sun shines soon so she can sit in the garden (hopefully with garden games), then she would feel she has been out for the day.

Compared to last year in assisted living, mam is clean, always dressed, smiling, and not so depressed, so you've done a great job.

I was unsure about moving my mam into full time care, but it has been the best for both of us.
The colleagues and management ensure my mams needs are fully met while trying to also engage her in activities.

The pressure on me was removed within a week.

The 'Resident of the day' idea is good. One day a month for special attention.

Mam's care is generally very good. She appears to be happy, although does not always want to join in activities.
She enjoys the food and has a good choice. Communications with staff has improved greatly over the last few months.
The regular staff are very friendly and Mam enjoys their company and chat.

Thanks everyone for taking good care of her.

Carers and staff providing the support and care to my father is excellent. Cleanliness of the room and facilities is good, however, the room is very basic.

The opportunity to attend activities and events is very good. The entertainment person (Sarah) is berry good and attentive. Overall good.

My sister Dawn and I come in quite often and have the best laughs in here, staff and residents are hilarious sometimes. Mum loves dancing, music, and socialising with the residents and she is very happy here. My mum does love a lot of the activities, depending on what it is.

The whole family are so happy with the support, care and dedication all the team show. The respect and consideration our mam receives at all times is outstanding and much appreciated.

It is amazing to see how our mam has settled and is allowed to be herself, which is a testament to all the staff's hard work. We have all been welcomed into the Earsdon Grange family. Thank you.

Our friend (service user) was taken to Earsdon Grange following an extended period in hospital. This was initially on a temporary basis, although we believe the arrangement is now permanent?? Our friend settled in quickly and has responded well to the surroundings, and the care received - she had previously been distressed.

The friendliness of staff and the atmosphere of the home (positive) were obvious to us as visitors. Since her admittance our friend has regained her positive outlook - thanks to the care received.

Overall, our experience of Earsdon Grange is good. Most staff are pleasant and responsive when acknowledged. Some are not and make no effort to say hello and/ or goodbye. They don't chat to mum when they bring fresh water or ask her what she wants for her tea etc. The command of English is poor in some of the staff, resulting in mum not understanding them. It's ok when we're there but she must be lost when we aren't.

The activities are good though mum doesn't participate much. More could be made of the coffee lounge. In the brochure, we were led to believe we could make tea etc and enjoy a cup with mum. We can't there's never cups there for coffee etc. We buy one from the local shop. That said mum seems content enough for the most part.

A lovely nursing home. Our very elderly relative has been treated with dignity, care and kindness. She sees the staff as her friends and is happy to ask for whatever she needs. The meals look good and the rooms are lovely and clean. Staff are helpful to us when we have any queries and are very caring.
