I visited the care home open day, the home was buzzing with life. Residents were happy and well cared for. Visitors were included and the home was warm, friendly and clean. Exceptional day, the food was excellent and overall excellence to all.

I live in Australia so only had a short time to arrange my mother's care. I viewed several homes but knew immediately on entering that this would be my choice.

My mother was not happy to come into care but with the obvious care and encouragement from staff she now seems very happy and settled.

The atmosphere in the home is refreshingly lighthearted and I feel very settled leaving my mother in their care.

I think everyone who has to find a home for their loved one was worried in case it was not suitable.
From day one we had no worries, it is first class, clean and the staff really do care.
My aunt was very happy, well cared for and loved and in her words 'Thank God you found this place'

I would highly recommend this care home.

My father has recently arrived at Ashton Grange from the Isle of Wight. I never thought he would actually get here, as we were experiencing so many problems getting my dad back home to Sunderland.
The staff at Ashton Grange made it possible for my dad to be back home as they travelled a long way to collect him.

Dad has settled in very well and the care he receives is amazing. The care home is a lovely friendly place and dad is very happy. The staff are wonderful and dad gets along with all of them. Amazing place and amazing staff.

My review went very well, everything has not changed. Doing some help in the home by doing meals and giving them to residents. I also clean floor and kitchen and tidy lounge and empty the things like kitchen attire and place mats and set it back ready for the evening meal. We have just had home refurbishment and decorated. It is beautiful everywhere, spotless and clean.

It is a credit to all involved keeping it to such a high standard. It is providing such a wonderful service to those who at their particular time of life and for whatever reason need it most.

My relative was very happy at Ashton Grange Care Home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My brother has special needs and is sometimes hard work, but the staff supported and befriended him. He was always saying how much he liked to visit our relative and felt included in different events five star recommendation from us.

I have found the home to very welcoming and my husband has been very settled since he came. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will answer any queries I may have. The food is good with a variety of choices. The security is excellent, the stairs are gated and the doors locked so the residents are safe and cannot go out attended.

I feel satisfied that my husband is being well cared for.

We have visited many times and on each occasion, we have been made to feel welcome, comfortable and served refreshments. We believe our aunty was treated with the greatest of respect and care and her life was enhanced accordingly. We have the greatest of respect for the staff who showed us compassion not only to our aunt but all the residents. Thank you very much.
