I have been a resident at Ashbourne Lodge for eight months. Throughout this time I have been very well cared for but this was especially so when I became ill. Every member of staff went out of their way to see that I had everything that I needed and their understanding and patience were first rate.

On my visits here I have seen a few changes and not for the better. Some staff are good and others not. I have been disappointed lately.

Lot's going on in the lounges. Nice facilities e.g dining room and lounge and rooms. Activities are great and always something going on such as singers and raffles and trips out.

My friend settled very nicely and seems very happy at Ashbourne Lodge, eating and drinking really well.


As someone who said she would never go in to a care home, she has settled really well, which is very surprising to me. She is very happy and looked after at Ashbourne Lodge.

We are very happy with the care and attention given to mam. She has a lovely room which is well maintained. Food is good and always served well. Staff treat mam with gentle and loving care.

This is my second visit to see my friend/ex-neighbour. Staff have been very pleasant both times. Very friendly and attentive to residents. Have sorted out issues/towels not replaced, but on reminder, a replacement was put in and a spare left in the drawer.

Ashbourne Lodge Care Home provide 24hour care to my mother-in-law who will say that this is her home. It is very colourful and bright and clean. New menus have just started which has food my mother-in-law likes. All her needs and care are met to a high standard. If my mother-in-law is unwell, the care
home immediately phones the doctor and myself to let me know. Any concerns I have are discussed straight away and a plan is put in place. I know she is kept well and safe and the support you get from the management and staff is of a high standard. They are friendly and very polite and give care and dignity to everyone there.

We always find that my mother in law is in a clean and tidy state. Her room and washroom are always clean and tidy.

Punam has gained over ten years’ experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Punam joined Ashbourne Lodge as Home Manager because she closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Ashbourne Lodge.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Punam remarked: “I get enormous satisfaction from seeing our Residents well looked after.”


Away from work, Punam enjoys listening to music and socialising with her family and friends.
