Felt well looked after in Dalby Court. The staff were very pleasant and caring. The food was lovely and there was a good choice. The room was small but I was only there temporarily and would have moved if I had stayed. I would like to thank the management and staff for their kindness and care.

I came into Dalby Court after spending 17 weeks in hospital. I have absolutely no bad words for Dalby Court, it's excellent. The staff are brilliant and very helpful. I have also been having physiotherapy to get me back on my feet and to do everyday things. I am able to go back to my bungalow on Tuesday 3rd May. Thanks to all the help I have had. I am going to miss everyone. Once again, thank you, everyone!

My mother was taken to Dalby Court for respite care following a short stay in hospital. From day one, we were delighted with the level of care she received.
The room was extremely comfortable and well equipped, and she was also able to enjoy the view out of the window. The food was very appetising and helped with her recovery.
However, what made it so special was the level of care from the staff. Despite being busy, they were able to offer warmth and empathy and very practical solutions when my mother experienced the inevitable post-hospitalisation challenges.

What could have been a difficult time was made so much better by the dedication of the staff.

Mother in respite care throughout a Covid restricted period which staff handled very well making us feel secure. We, therefore, were not seeing the home operating activities to their normal level. The staff and management provided care to the highest standard and although busy they answered queries and helped us to adjust to a difficult period. Although Mam is now moving to a permanent home elsewhere, we would strongly recommend Dalby Court to other families, she was in a small room but would have been offered larger brighter rooms if she was to stay permanently.

My sister is settling into the home now. I would like to commend all the staff for their commitment and hard work through Covid and the ongoing effects and unavoidable restrictions on what can be done and visiting etc. They are all working under pressure but do their best for each and every resident. Now they are getting to know and understand my sister, things are going well, they are very patient and do their best for her and try to ensure she remains cheerful. We are looking forward to when more activities can resume (they still have Covid in the home) and when my sister can get out more.

My father did not spend long at Dalby Court as his health was declining so quickly. He was a resident for almost two months but spent some of that time in hospital. I found the staff to be caring and hard-working. Dad was not happy at having to live in a care home and was not easy to manage but I believe he was looked after kindly and professionally. I was impressed by the manager and administrator, who communicated well with me and were particularly kind to my mother. His passing was handled sensitively and supportively.

I write as the wife of a resident on the pathway and am impressed by the care and concern shown by all the staff and management, both to me and my husband. This is a difficult time but I am very grateful for all the support I am receiving and the love shown to my husband.

I found the experience very good. I find the staff very friendly and helpful. Everything has gone very smoothly without a hitch. The home is very well run and I think my mum will be happy there. She has only been there a very short while but is settled.

The care that has been shown to my dad has been very good. He has recovered from a hospital visit and I believe that his recovery has been down to the care from all the staff.

Mam has been in Dalby Court for a short time and I could not fault the care Mam has received. This has been highlighted since Mam has been placed on end of life where we are spending day and night at the home. The staff have been exceptional with our family, refreshments and ensuring we have everything we need. Also, Mam's care is outstanding, nothing is a problem. Spending such long hours in the home has highlighted how hard the carers work and how compassionate and empathetic they are with all the residents.

Mam has been in the home for just over two years now. She came into the home in quite a sad state. The carers and other staff have brought Mam back to her normal self. She looks healthy and happy, above all she has made friends and is safe.

Review from C N (Stepdaughter of Resident) published on 22 February 2022 Submitted via Postal Card

Our step mum is very happy with her care and says the care workers/workers are pleasant and friendly. She seems to enjoy being in the care home, we have asked a few times if she would rather be in a care home closer to us as we live about six miles away, but it is a definite 'no'. So there's my review. Keep up the good work, because we certainly couldn't do it. Last but not least the office staff are friendly and always willing to go that extra mile to help.

Appalling experience for my father, his care needs are not met, multiple pressure sores, filthy room, food with little nutritional value, weight loss, and a massive decline, all in a three-week stay. Discovered on my first and only visit due to lockdown... apparently.

Needless to say, I'll be moving the poor soul asap.

The staff have been wonderful in helping Mum settle in and taking care of her; her needs and her preferences have been considered throughout, and there is genuine concern for her well-being. Can't praise the staff of Dalby Court enough for their support during a very difficult time.
