My father has been at The Grange for the past 11 months, and throughout that time we have been incredibly grateful for the kindness, dignity and compassion shown to him by every member of staff. He enjoys the daily routine, activities and welcoming atmosphere, and always feels included and well cared for. His room and bathroom are always spotless, comfortable and well maintained. The medical care is outstanding, and we are kept informed whenever he is unwell, giving us complete confidence that he is receiving the very best care. He feels safe and secure knowing staff check on him regularly, and the management team are always friendly, approachable and excellent at keeping us updated. Finally, the food deserves a special mention-my father has always enjoyed cooking and good food, so it means a great deal that he looks forward to every meal. We can't thank everyone at The Grange enough for making him feel so happy, comfortable and truly at home.

Reply from Maxwell Andrews, Marketing Lead at The Grange Care Home

Thank you for such a warm and consideredate review. Eleven months in, it's wonderful to hear your father feels so settled, safe and genuinely at home at The Grange. We're glad the mealtimes are such a highlight for him. We'll pass your thanks on to the whole team, from the carers and management to the kitchen.

Mam has been at The Grange for a few weeks and seems to be settling in well. She was diagnosed with alzheimers dementia about 7 years ago and has been living at home with my dad (who is now 89) with daily visits from carers. It's become too difficult for dad to continue looking after her 24/7 because he is now quite frail so we made the decision to move her into full time care. I am so pleased we chose The Grange care home. Everyone from the domestic staff right through to the manager, Carmen have been absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Me and my dad already feel like part of The Grange family. It's quite difficult for my dad to adjust to life at home without my mam after 64 years of marriage but all of the staff are helping him by being so kind and caring. He stayed and had his Sunday lunch which he enjoyed. We attended a Dementia party where there was a live singer and lots of yummy cakes. Mam really seemed to enjoy it and was singing along, which was lovely to see.

My Mam moved into the Grange care home 10 days ago and I can't speak highly enough of the home and the staff. All of the staff have been amazing and from the moment she got there they have gone above and beyond to help her settle in and feel at home, nothing is too much trouble. They treat her with care, dignity and always go the extra mile to make her feel happy, comfortable and meet her needs, they are very encouraging too which has helped my Mam immensely when it comes to eating and being more mobile. The manager has also been extremely helpful and supportive through the process of transitioning Mam into the home and continues to be now, she even took time out to sit one to one with her and get to know her so she felt more at ease.

I can't thank the staff enough for not only taking care of my precious Mam like she is there own but for also taking the worry away from me and my family, because we know she is safe and so well looked after.

The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They treat residents with dignity and respect and always take the time to listen. Communication with family members is good, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble.
The home is always clean and well maintained. Communal areas, rooms, and bathrooms are kept to a high standard, which is reassuring and creates a pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike.
The level of care is excellent. My mum's individual needs are clearly understood and met, and she is treated as a person, not just a resident. Staff are attentive, professional, and compassionate at all times.
Meals are varied, nutritious, and well presented. Residents are offered choices, and dietary needs are catered for. My mum enjoys the food and is encouraged to eat and drink well.

The rooms are comfortable, homely, and well equipped. They are kept tidy and feel personal rather than clinical

Mum arrived in March this year and settled in straight away! Everyone knew her by name almost instantly. I can't praise The Grange highly enough: clean, caring, entertaining + good communication with families. Every family member or friend that has visited says what a lovely place it is and comment how happy she is. Her own good sized room with an en-suite and wide corridors for her walker - what's not to love!

Friendly and competent staff with an overriding feeling of "care" emanating from the staff towards all of the residents.
Mum is certainly being looked after with good activities and interaction for her. All good and, as a family, we are reassured that mum is being looked after both empathetically and professionally.

I have given full marks for value for money rather than "I don't know"; all care is expensive but also, how do you put a value on a "loved ones" care, you can't. Providing they are happy and well cared for then that has to be value for money as far as myself and family are concerned; we are happy for mum to be a resident and part of the The Grange family.

My husband has been in this care home for 1 1/2 years and I am very happy with his treatment and care. His carers are kind and they do their best to make each and every resident as comfortable as possible. My husband can be extremely difficult and they are patient and take time to help and reassure him. The carers in this home need medals for their love and care.

My husband was in The Grange Care Home for approximately 2-and-a-half years. He was very happy and content from first going in, never questioning why he was in there. The staff were all lovely and caring, from management to all the staff. We had our little differences but overall we were happy and my husband was content which helped me a lot, especially in his final days.

Mam was referred to The Grange Care Home after being hospitalised. It had become apparent that she was no longer capable of looking after herself. The staff at The Grange have made her so welcome and the attention to detail for personal care is 100%. The staff and management are so friendly and pleasant, always smiling and creating a lovely atmosphere in the home. They are also always available to answer any questions family members may have. The rooms and facilities are very clean and the home has plenty of well-organised rooms for residents and their visitors to relax. The food is excellent, with plenty of choice and drinks are always available. There are regular activities and sometimes live singers. All in all, I can now sleep at night, knowing that Mam is safe and secure and coming to no harm.

Mam initially went into The Grange Care Home temporarily after a three week hospital stay as she was unable to care for herself. After further assessment the decision was made that it would be safer for her to become a permanent resident. This decision was made far easier for our family as The Grange offers a very caring atmosphere for both residents and relatives. Although mam was distressed at this decision a member of staff realised what was happening and dealt compassionately with the situation. Both management and carers are to be commended at this care home and I feel real peace of mind knowing that my mum is being so well cared for.

My sister has been a resident at The Grange for six months. She has dementia. I'm so pleased to have found a care home for my sister where I know she is safe and happy. The Grange is, in my opinion, a really excellent care home, especially for dementia residents.
