My mother entered The Grange Care Home shortly after Christmas 2020. Within a few weeks, we were in lockdown, and I was unable to visit the home. It is very difficult for me to give an overall assessment, so I can only make a judgement based on that short period of time and my links to the home via
telephone. The home has been very quick to inform me of any problems with my mother, and I am pleased with the care she is receiving.

I have found all staff to be pleasant, polite and helpful in any enquiries I have made about my aunt. They have also been very cheerful in what is considered the most depressing and difficult times that anyone has had to face in recent history!

From the moment I telephoned enquiring about emergency respite care to now (a month on), I have experienced friendly, professional and dignified response in all my dealings with The Grange. Management, seniors and carers alike have made a difficult time as reassuring as possible with many 'going the
extra mile' as possible. This would have been wonderful; but to do it in the middle of a pandemic and treat both my aunt and myself with humanity, care and understanding and keep us in regular contact is amazing. They sometimes take a while to answer the phone, but every aspect of care has been attended to - I'd certainly recommend them!

The staff have looked after Mum over this last very trying 12-months. Their care and support have been exceptional under very difficult times. Mum is now on full nursing care after fracturing her leg and is now unable to walk and support herself.

First experience of care facilities, but reassured by management and staff who are supportive, knowledgable and experienced. Staff, no matter their role, are friendly and show genuine concern and affection for the resident and their families. It has made a difficult decision much more bearable.

My mother is quite happy here, after taking a while to settle in. The staff take good care of her both socially and medically. I have regular access, bearing in mind current Covid restrictions. All in all, very satisfactory.

I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to ALL the staff at The Grange for their dedication and additional discretionary care they have given, not only to my mother but to all the residents in The Grange during the recent Covid-19 lockdown.
They continued to provide an extremely high level
of care during an extremely frightening period of time. How they continued to retain their positivity and friendliness during these past months, I don't know, but I can't find words to express my gratitude to each one of them.

The Grange has been "home" to my mother for 11-years. The staff have made the transition from normal family life to living alone as a widow and frightened by dementia. Mum has been in more need over the past few years as her dementia has advanced. Understanding, care and patience play an important part
in daily life in the home, and it's vital for families to be assured their loved one is given the best care possible.

My father has been a resident in The Grange since December 2018. The care he has received has been fantastic. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. No matter what time of day I go in, the staff are so cheerful. During these very stressful and hard times we are going through at the moment I
have the utmost respect for the way all the staff are managing to cope, I know I could not work in that environment. They are so brave putting all residents needs first. Each and every one of them are worth their weight in gold! Only in these circumstances are they being recognised for their true worth. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The Grange is a care home specialising in patients with dementia type diseases. It has a wonderful atmosphere with the staff always displaying a very caring attitude. The activities for the residents are second to none, are regular and they stimulate and entertain. My wife and I commend all staff for
the professional way they have dealt with covid-19, ultimately putting their resident's welfare above and beyond all danger. Congratulations, the mother-in-law is very happy here.

Management and carers at The Grange do a wonderful job. Very caring, patient, kind and compassionate to residents and courteous to ourselves as family.
The current pandemic has illustrated the above even more clearly. They deserve the highest praise at present. My only concern at this time is it's
very difficult to contact The Grange. The phone has not been answered but this is understandable during this very busy time. This is not a complaint, merely an observation. I know if anything untoward occurred with my mother, I would be immediately informed.

My brother was cared for at The Grange for just over a year, he unfortunately passed away just before Christmas. Throughout the whole time he was at the home he was cared for with dignity by lovely, friendly staff who made The Grange his home. He loved being in the Garden Room. The meals and cakes/snacks
always looked inviting and homemade. He was a character and took a bit of getting used to but all the staff looked after him brilliantly to the very end for which we will never be able to thank them enough.

Staff are very good but there is not enough of them. A few of the regular staff that have been there a long time have left for other jobs in care homes.

Very friendly staff and well liked by the resident. Always someone on hand to update you on how the resident has been.
Room and facilities are well maintained and bright. Any queries/issues, the manager is always available to discuss and resolve promptly and is on the ball regarding treatment.

praise staff enough for their care. The resident is really happy and settled.

Many thanks to the manager and all of your very kind team for looking after my father-in-law. You know he recently passed away and we couldn’t have wanted him to be anywhere else than with you and your team of caring people. We never had to worry about him because we knew he was in a very good care
home, unlike some, it is clean and organised and staffed by fabulous people. You all made his last years very comfortable, and again we can’t thank you all enough. We will be calling back in a few weeks with a little thank you present for you all. Best regards.

My mam has been a permanent resident since March 2018, mam and I cannot praise every member of staff enough. Each time I visit mam, 3 or 4 times a week, she tells me how happy she is. Nothing is too much trouble, I can see for myself what a happy place it is. Mam needs helps with toilet and washing
etc. They always help with a smile on their face. When I leave it makes me feel good to know mam is happy and in safe hands. Good.

When visiting my sister I find she is very content with no complaints. The staff are very helpful who will listen to any remarks I have to say. As a member of Age Concern Ukelele Band, we enjoy entertaining when asked to play.
