The care home has been brilliant with my nan from day one, and she has been there for over three years now. She feels like she’s on holiday there, and she is treated that well by every single staff member.

Staff are very welcoming, offering refreshments on arrival.

I would recommend this care home to anyone. My mum was a resident in 2019 until she sadly passed away in July 2021. My dad was also a resident in 2019 until he sadly passed away in January 2023. They were both happy in Sandford Care Home. The carers were very supportive of all our family members, not just with my parents. The manager of the home was also very caring to them and us. Nothing was too much trouble. My dad passed away with carers beside his bed till his last breath, which as a family, we very much appreciated it. We still visit the manager and staff at Sandford Care Home.

I would like to thank all staff and management team for all their help and support in getting my mum settled into Sandford Care Home. The care and attention she has received from all staff have been excellent, and they are always kind, considerate and supportive when caring for Mum. Mum's room is big and comfy with great views. The food is really good. The extra care and entertainment provided by the home are brilliant. Thank you to all staff at Sandford for looking after my mum and making her feel settled. It has been a huge relief for me that Mum is safe, warm, well-fed and cared for after having home care for the last eight years; it is so reassuring to know Mum has care now 24 hours. Thank you to all staff.

My father-in-law sadly passed away on the 4th of January, and the care received when that time came was fantastic. They went above and beyond, and they even looked after us as a family. Nothing can beat it. I would just like to thank the manager and all the care staff for the fantastic care my father-in-law received during his time at Sandford. I have no bad feedback at all. Thank you.

My father has been in Sandford for fifteen months and has throughout received excellent care that properly matches his needs. His mental health has improved considerably over that time as has his physical well-being. When he has been poorly, the staff have responded promptly and responsibly. Throughout my father's stay, covid restrictions have been in place, but at all times whenever it has been possible, visits have not only been allowed, but encouraged. This has made a huge difference to all of us. We now take our two dogs in regularly, which gives us all a lift. The manager and his team have worked heroically in very difficult times, to make the transition into care as smooth as it ever could be.

Dad has only been a resident of Sandford for only a couple of months, but I have seen an improvement in him during that time. The staff are very approachable to ask questions about Dad and are very informative with the answers. They are also very caring about all the resident's needs and requirements and treat everyone with the dignity that they deserve. Management goes above and beyond also with the care of the residents. Both I and my wife are very happy with the level of care my dad receives. He is very happy with the care he is receiving and participates in activities when he can, or if he wants to stay in his room and watch TV, he can; it's his choice.

Mum receives excellent friendly care - also, since being able to visit in the room, I can see that everything is kept clean and tidy inside the home as well.

I am really pleased with how quickly the staff deal with any issues; they also make sure that relatives know what is happening.

Couldn't ask for a better home for my great uncle. The staff are all so friendly and hard-working. We went to visit our uncle for his 85th birthday outside in the garden, and the manager and the staff couldn't do enough for us even though they were busy with other relatives attending as it was father's day on the same day. The staff have always been very helpful, and my uncle seems settled and happy in the home, even taking part in activities which he would rarely do in his previous home. The activities coordinator adapts the activities to include everyone's interests and is often sending over pictures of what he has been up to. Such a lovely home and very person-centred, delivering a high standard of care to their residents.

My brother is so happy at Sandford. He joins in on all the activities, and they even do activities that are particularly designed just for him. We get regular updates of what he's been up to, which is lovely.
The staff are wonderful, always helpful and informative, and nothing is too much trouble.

Highly recommended.

Mum has been in Sandford since August; the staff are amazing. The manager is a star; he goes above and beyond to ensure the happiness and well-being of all the residents. The home has a very homely feel, no smells, lovely rooms, nothing is too much trouble. Food-wise, they will happily go through a long list of foods to try and tempt Mum to eat. The care staff sit with Mum to encourage her to eat and drink. I cannot thank them all enough for the care, respect and compassion they give Mum.

Wow, what a fantastic care home! My mum never wanted to go into a care home, and we wanted to keep her at home, so it was a difficult decision. However, the manager and staff, are without exception, amazing. They are very caring, very professional and very human. They communicate well with me and understand and adapt to her need with humanity and dignity; she is a complex person apart from her health needs, and so this isn't easy. Her happiness is important to them. There is an activities coordinator, who she also really likes, who collects her for activities, and she is brighter and more positive as result. She enjoys the food, which includes food she particularly likes, and she has made three friends, who she says go and watch a film together. She is much better off than when she was at home. Thank you, everyone, at the Sandford; you are making a real difference to my mums last years.

My dear mother was brought here from her home of 60-years during the first lockdown, as she need 24-hour care and wanted to be near to me. She was given a very warm welcome by the very caring staff, and her needs were met in a very dignified way. My only concern/area for improvement is that residents are not taken outside for fresh air and feel that this should be encouraged as part of their daily routine. More entertainment is needed.

My mother-in-law came to Sandford in October 2020, and from that moment, the team at Sandford took care of her with professionalism and respect throughout. mt mother-in-law's needs were challenging at times, and she was looked after with care and dignity throughout. We were only able to have limited visits due to Covid-19, and we lived 300-miles away, but we were kept fully informed at all times. We were impressed by the attitude of all the staff.

The level of care during her final months was exceptional, thanks to the wonderful, dedicated manager and the staff’s loving care.

Sandford has been truly exceptional, and I can’t thank them enough. The rooms in Sandford are lovely. The home itself is modern, cosy and traditional. It is clean and never smells. The food was really good - she was so fussy at home, but suddenly was eating full meals and looked so much better. The chef is really good, but also really cares and mingles with the residents. Her hair was done. She felt like she was on holiday. They put on entertainment and events, and she didn’t miss her home, even though initially she was refusing to leave. But the main thing was all of the staff. They treated my nana with real love. They went in to see her on their days off, came in early to see her before their shift, there were 8-people with her when she passed away; they stroked her hair and spoke to her with real love. The manager is leading a fantastic team, and as a family, we were so grateful to them - when we couldn’t be there, she was still loved and cared for better than we could have done ourselves. Thank you.

Mum joined Sandford after a respite stay in another home. Despite the other home looking "smarter" in terms of decor, Sandford is by far the best place for Mum. The care, individual attention, activities and overall ambience are excellent. The manager has been a revolution, and we couldn't be happier with the level of care. Despite not wanting to live in a care home, Mum is so happy and that makes me happy and relieved.

I cannot praise the staff at Sandford enough for all the care and compassion they showed my dad during his short stay with them. Dad became a resident at the most difficult of times, he was palliative for bowel cancer and had advanced dementia along with very poor eyesight. Added to all this he joined Sandford at the onset of the Covid pandemic.
Though mum couldn't visit inside the home the staff would bring him to the window so that he and mum could chat and blow the odd kiss to one another. This meant a lot to mum.
When dad's time came, the staff at Sandford ensured that he was kept comfortable and made sure that mum and I knew that we could ring at any time day or night just to check on him. This provided me with some comfort being that I was 5hr hours away. It never felt like it was a problem that we were calling.

So, on a final note, I would just like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you and to wish the very best. Take care you lovely people x

My dad has been a resident of Sandford since March 2019. and my family and I would highly recommend the care home. The staff are very caring and have a lovely relationship with both the residents and their families. The home provides a variety of activities for residents to participate in such as various crafts, baking, gardening, armchair darts and putting golf. They also provide events throughout the year such as a Halloween party, various activities and parties over the Christmas period, and numerous other occasions such as the VE day celebrations - all of which my dad really enjoys participating in. I look forward to seeing their Facebook posts to see what has been going on and the fun the residents have, making their Tik Tok videos. We feel so thankful that we picked such a lovely place for my dad to stay and never more so than now during the Covid-19 pandemic when we know he is safe and cared for so well.
