I can't thank the team enough for the work they have done to make my father feel at home. I also have complete peace of mind that he is now being looked after so well. The support they have given, especially Leah has been wonderful. The whole process of finding the right home can be overwhelming but I know without out a doubt that this is the best home by far for my father. The activities are stimulating, the care is exceptional, the food is excellent and everywhere is very clean. A big thank you to the whole team.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback it has been a pleasure getting to know dad and yourselves. Thank you for the great 5* review and I will ensure to share your kind words with the wider team.
Take care
Nothing is too much trouble for them. What I like is they have a sense of humour and like a laugh aswel as being professional. I like that the staff introduced themselves to my aunt.
Hi Angela,
Thank you for sharing a 5* review and your kind feedback! I will ensure to share this feedback with the wider team. We look forward to seeing you again soon.Take care.
My husband has been at Ty Porth for nearly a year and I have never had any concern about his care there. I have nothing but praise and respect for the staff, it is not an easy job, but is done with thought and understanding of the individuals needs.
Hi Margaret,
Thank you for sharing such a kind 5* review, I will ensure to share your feedback with the wider team. We look forward to seeing you again soon.Take care.
My husband has been in Ty Porth for just over a week, so my experience is limited. However, when my husband arrived at the care home he was greeted, shown around, introduced to other residents, and made to feel very welcome. I have found staff to be polite, friendly, helpful, and informative. They have quickly responded to requests, for example to change furniture and put additional furniture in his room, according to his needs. Nothing is too much for them. His en suite room is ideal for someone, like my husband, who is a powered wheelchair user. There seems to be a variety of activities on offer at the home but I can't really comment on them as my husband hasn't yet taken part in any. Visitors, like myself, are welcomed into the home and can use the drinks machine and help themselves to fruit and cake in the reception area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this luxury care home for anyone looking for a placement for a loved one.
Thank you for sharing such a lovely review, I will ensure to share your kind feedback with the wider team. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Take care.
Nothing is too much trouble for them
They have made the whole experience of enabling my sister to become a resident as plesant as possible.
The place is kept spotlessly clean.Care provided to my sister has been excellent.
There is a full and varied activities programme ever day for the residence.
I would certainly recommend the home to other families who need this support for their loved ones

Our mother moved into Ty Porth at the end of January. It is an amazing care home in many different ways. All staff members are friendly, welcoming and attentive. They go above and beyond to make it feel like a home from home. Mam is settling in nicely; with the help, patience and understanding of all the wonderful staff. We are so impressed with the daily activities on offer here - we were able to attend one of them with her when we visited last week; live music by a harpist! It was incredibly moving to watch the residents joyfully joining in with some of the music, singing along to Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra pieces. Our mother loved it (as did we!). Mam's ensuite room is lovely, with a great view across the valley. We were encouraged by the staff to personalise it for her, with anything we wanted to bring from home, which we did last week. Ty Porth definitely looks and feels like a "Luxury" care home... but it's the staff that make it the special "home from home" that it is.
We are always here if you need anything and we look forward to seeing you again soon
Take care
Regards, The Ty Porth Team.
Everyone is very professional and friendly. They have really helped my Mum settle into the residential area.Always staff visible and ready to assist with a smile. Always encouraging and nothing too much effort. The home is always immaculate, warm and inviting. The area where you can help yourself to fresh coffee or tea is such a treat - and a lovely way to meet other carers or residents. Every service required has been a smooth operation- from hairdressers to gp visits etc. The teams always seem to work well together like a tight ship. Communication has also been a plus point - where any worries about mam have been conveyed and alleviated.
We look forward to speaking and seeing you soon.
Kind regards, Ty Porth
My experience has been very positive my husband is receiving very good care. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Take care and we look forward to seeing you soon.
We visit regularly and always find the roomsand public areas clean and welcoming . My aunt likes coming out to the reception area with us for coffee and cake .
From the reception staff who welcome us to the cleaning staff , everyone has been kindness itself to my aunt and to us .
We feel my aunt is safe and well cared for and we can visit and enjoy her company without worrying about her when we leave .
Would I recommend Ty Porth to others ? Yes without hesitation .
Take care and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Kind regards, Leah.
Very welcoming and answered all our questions- how er stupid- with patience.
Made the experience of moving in as pleasant as possible for our relative and went out of their way to reassure us that all would be well ,as it has proved to be.
thank your so much for your kind review, it is a pleasure to have your aunt here with us and to see her settled in her new environment. I will ensure to share your feedback with the wider team.
Take care and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Regards, Leah.
She was fiercely independent despite her needs, & the Care staff fully respected this & encouraged her to do things for herself whenever possible.
They treated her like the lady that she was, rather than the old, anonymous person that a recent hospital stay sadly evidenced.
The care that Mum received was second to none & she enjoyed the chit chat & banter, & the company as well.
For our large family it was ideal, as we were able to visit as often as we liked & whenever we wanted, just like when Mum was in her own home.
Various activities are arranged, & even though Mum was on a nursing floor, where most residents were bed bound, everyone was encouraged & taken to that day's event, enabling them to socialise & enjoy something different.
My lasting impression of Ty Porth is one of happy, smiling faces of the Carers & nurses who truly cared.
I highly recommend Ty Porth to anyone & everyone.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will ensure to pass your words onto the wider team. It was a pleasure to take care of mam and to meet you all as a family, take care.
Kind regards, Leah Howells.
I was not looking forward to the day that my mother was being moved into the Care Home, I was expecting resistance and a lot of tears. How wrong was I. From the moment my mother entered the home, the staff all came to introduce themselves, they showed her the bedroom and then showed her around the various facilities on the floor. The staff made such a fuss of my mother that she felt safe and protected and that gave her the reassurance she needed, it was such a difference after spending over four months in hospital. My mother settled in to her new surroundings very well, she is participating in all the activities and as already struck up a number of friendships with the fellow residents. The staff are always free to have a chat when I visit, as I tend to ask a lot of questions and any health issues with Mam they have phoned me to keep me updated. Thank you very much and keep up the excellent care that you provide.
Thank you so much for your kind words and 5* review! It has been a pleasure to see your mam settle into her new environment.I will ensure to share your feedback with the team.We look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards.

As soon as we entered we were greeted warmly and invited in to view the home.
We wanted our Mam to be in a place where she would be treated as family by the team and this is certainly the case. Everyone is wonderful with her. We wanted a clean environment, a host of activities for her and healthy and nutritious food. Ty Porth provides all of this and more.
The administration team helped us with everything in getting Mam across from hospital. And the team caring for our Mam cannot do enough. They are absolutely brilliant.
