Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident for 7 years during which time this residential home has treated her with respect courtesy. The staff are ultimately obliging, going beyond the call of duty to make these last years of her life pleasant and comfortable. They have well adapted to her ageing wants and needs, challenging her where necessary but always in a kind and caring way.. She is very confident here; there are many ways the staff provide entertainment and fun for the residents. Food, cleanliness and care are exceptional. I could not wish for my mother's last years to be spent in a better, friendlier place.

It was a difficult move into care as I so wanted to go back to my own home, but staff have made it so easy for me. It feels like a home from home. The staff are genuinely kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely. We have lots of activities and events going on. Never a quiet or dull moment. I'm beginning to feel part of a family. The two managers are so helpful and always smiling. Would be helpful if the medication trained staff wore a different uniform from the carers so I know who to go for. But apart from this its perfect. I couldn't be happier. This is where I want to spend my final days.

My gran is 86 years old, registered blind and has a stoma. I have viewed Moral Court many times and twice with gran. Outstanding! Amazing staff, beautiful grounds and spotlessly clean. My gran was very anxious visiting, worried about how she would adapt. However, the staff took control with a friendly respectable manner. When I left after my first visit I was emotional. It is everything I hoped for and more for my gran.

It was delightful to see such positive comments from your visits to Morel Court. We do appreciate how difficult it can be to move a loved one into the care of others, so to see that you have already been reassured by the care and support we provide at our home in Penarth is truly gratifying for me and the staff team. I will be in touch as soon as a bed becomes available.

I have only been a resident here for five weeks but from my first contact with the home, I have found the management most helpful in every respect. Since taking up residence I have found the care staff very approachable, helpful - practically and passing on messages about needs eg. lights etc. Very friendly without being invasive and most importantly very caring and hopefully this will continue.

Staff are very helpful but I prefer to be at home. Unfortunately, I cannot but Morel Court is my home now.

Morel is a really caring residential home which looks after my father really well. He is 93 and would like to depart this world, but in the meantime, the lovely staff at Morel make him content: they are courteous and kind, respectful and firm. Lots of thought goes into making the residents' lives varied and interesting, if that's what they want. If not, the lounge is very pleasant and the garden with its hens and flowerbeds, is a peaceful retreat.

My late mother attended Morel court, twice a week, for over two years. She was greeted warmly on arriving each visit and was made to feel welcome. I found all the staff she came into contact with, to be kind and caring towards her.

A range of activities were available every day and my mother would always be more animated after these visits. I was more than happy to leave my mother in the safe hands of the staff at Morel Court, and I will be forever grateful for the friendliness and empathy shown to her.
