My nan has changed here for the better. Settled in lovely. The staff are fabulous. Would normally avoid coming to these places but look forward to coming here, to see nan that is, not me personally - though when the time comes I'd be more than happy.

I have two relatives at the home - one has been there for over a year and one for nine months. My wife and I visit at least three times a week. All the staff are excellent and are very observant, very caring and very understanding. There is always some activity for the residents and all staff attend to each residents needs. The rooms provided are of a good standard and cleanliness is of a high standard. The food is particularly good. I am not able to find any fault - a wonderful home.

My nan came to The Rookery over a year ago. As a family it was the hardest decision we ever had to make. Why we worried and lost sleepless nights I don't know, the staff in the rookery from the pink ladies to the ladies in red to the carers to the cooks, every single one of these ladies and gentlemen go above and beyond their job, nothing is ever to much trouble.
As a regular visitor to this home these people have always made us feel welcome and never uncomfortable, we're made to feel like we're visiting my nan's home, not a care home. The most important thing is my nan is always happy and she loves all the staff, plus she has people to chat to all day long in the friends shes made at the rookery.

The staff here, each and every one of them, needs a huge pat on their back and their managers and families should be proud of the lovely caring people they are. Thanks to all their hard work my nan is now in a happy and safe environment and we as a family can't thank them enough.

My aunt has been a resident since February 2017. She has dementia. I have looked after her myself for 10 years, plus working. The time came when it was in her own interests to become a resident at The Rookery. She has settled in wonderfully. The staff and the running of the home is exceptional. I'm a district nurse and knowing The Rookery, this was my first choice.

We are very happy with the care our mother receives. Staff are very sensitive to residents' individual needs and have good knowledge of their families and backgrounds so they can have meaningful interaction/conversation.

They provide a stimulating environment with varying activities and are always approachable to discuss any concerns.

The Rookery is a pleasant, well-run facility, especially catering for patients with dementia.
The rooms are bright and airy, most with private facilities.
Activities include art and craft, bingo, film shows, church services, gardening, games like darts, skittles.
Special evening entertainment is included at regular intervals, to which family members are always invited.
Residents are encouraged to participate in all activities.
The menu is varied and changes on a two-week rota.

Food is tasty and attractively presented.

I visit my mum at The Rookery almost every day. I feel she receives care of a very high standard, any medical needs are addressed promptly and of late, she has had many of these. Mam has been in The Rookery Care Home for almost 3 months now, and it is reassuring for myself and her wider family that she is very well cared for and becoming settled and comfortable in the home.
We are all very pleased with the standards that are maintained on a day to day basis, and it gives us great peace of mind to know that her best interests and well-being are at the heart of all of the team.

Thank you to The Rookery for making this painful transition in mams life more bearable for us all.

My mum has been living at The Rookery for 4 months and my sister and I are delighted with the care she receives. The carers treat the residents with respect and dignity but also with genuine affection. Care is taken to dress the residents carefully in clothes that are clean and well matched with jewellery, if that is required. Carers speak kindly to residents, explaining things that residents find difficult to understand. Carers join in activities and encourage residents to sing, dance etc whatever the activity demands. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Rookery to anyone looking for somewhere to care for their relative - it gives peace of mind.

I visit my mother on a regular basis and like the fact visitors are welcome unannounced at anytime. The staff are always welcoming and treat all residents with care and respect. My mother usually has a carer with her or is busy in a group activity. Her appearance is always immaculate and I can't fault the standard of cleanliness of the home - her room and all areas are spotless. The staff are amazing - patient, kind - I can't speak highly enough of them. My mother has settled in very quickly and is happy and very settled - a great relief after past experiences in other homes.
