My first visit to Hastings Court, though I'd heard good things about it, staff greeted my group with smiles and coffee/tea before our friend finished lunch. The whole place was so clean, spacious and with lots of helpful, friendly staff. The bedroom was very good. Our friend was rather 'down' as feeling
rather frightened and uncomfortable but enjoyed having company and we could sing, pray and chat together. The caregivers were all lovely and she couldn't be anywhere better it seems.

The staff at Hastings Court provided wonderful care for our mum after she suffered two strokes and came to pass her last days at Hastings Court.
Everyone was extremely kind and caring. The facilities are spotlessly clean, bright, and airy. We are so grateful to everyone for providing such a peaceful
haven for our dear mum.

My mother arrived via ambulance from the hospital in very poor condition. We believe her previous treatment was shambolic - I will leave it there, but needless to say and very sadly, she was only then with us for a few days after she settled in at Hastings Court. The care she received for her last eight
days on earth was amazing, shining forth as an exemplar of how to add consummate value to the remaining time of a cherished human life. On day two, she whispered to me saying how lovely her carers had been already, that she felt dignified, snug and happy to be near to us, knowing we would now be able to see each other frequently in the future. Devastatingly, she declined rapidly, the causes were due to what had happened prior; Hastings Court helped her be comfortable, pain-free and relaxed.
It is with great sadness that we could not enjoy many years witnessing her happiness at Hastings Court, but my sister and I know she would have been 100% content, had circumstances allowed.

My father recently stayed at Hastings Court. I am thrilled with the improvement in his health so far and soon I am sure he will be well enough to return home. His care has been excellent and I cannot thank the team enough. They are all wonderful.

We chose Hastings Court because it offers high quality care in a safe, clean, and friendly environment. It provides this care for couples as well as individuals.
Staff keep in contact and are always very approachable.
My father passed away recently, and we are extremely impressed with the way staff
continue to support my mother (who has Alzheimer's) through this challenging time. This support gives us considerable peace of mind.
The atmosphere is incredibly positive at Hastings Court from the moment you walk through the front door to reception. Lots of lovely pictures and photos adorn the walls and there are many comfortable places to sit. The daily activities programme is excellent. Residents' families are encouraged to take part in these activities whenever they can.
Overall, it seems a very well managed care home.
My mother says she has many friends at Hastings Court and she seems happy here. In my view, this is the best indicator of all.
I highly recommend Hastings Court.

We were concerned about Mum going into care, add to that the guilt factor that we were unable to care for her. Hastings Court staff have been amazing from the start. Staff visited Mum at home and asked all about her life, her likes and dislikes to enable them to cater to Mum’s needs. Mum has been at
Hastings Court for 6 weeks now and is settling in, making friends, joining in the activities and generally enjoying life. Mum says ‘Everyone here is so lovely and nothing is too much trouble’. As a family we are so grateful to everyone at Hastings Court for all they are doing for Mum and want to say a massive thank you to you all, you are amazing.

My brother and I wanted to thank Hastings Court’s Staff for the care, dedication and compassion shown to our mother during her stay with you. She moved to Hastings Court from a home in Banstead to be nearer to my brother when he moved that way. My mother was therefore not long at Hastings Court, but
was there until she passed in March of this year. My mother was on Sunflower Floor and it was particularly the staff on this floor that made our mother so comfortable especially towards the end. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for these wonderful staff. Also, the staff were so pleasant and polite to us when we visited our mother. The reception staff were also so friendly whenever we arrived at the home. They provided a very welcoming front for your home. We feel that our mother could not have been in better hands towards the end of her life and we feel she passed in peace and in no pain. Thank you to all connected with our mother's care.

If I could give Hastings Court six stars in every category I would do so. My father received end of life care at Hastings Court for a short period of time and his treatment there was second to none. He was treated with utter dignity and care and the staff extended the most amazing and sensitive support
to our family at what was an incredibly difficult time. I only wish that my Dad would have considered staying there sooner before he became too ill to make the most of it.

My husband arrived at Hastings Court after nearly three months in the local hospital, the hand over was difficult and could have been very traumatic, however everyone at Hastings Court did all they possibly could to make my husband, me and all our family feel welcome, their kindness was and is outstanding.
My husband has settled in well and is relishing the delicious food, even a glass of beer or wine and having his own television, sadly he is too unwell to join in with the many entertainments available to residents. I have met a friend whose husband is also a resident and have been introduced to many of the staff, so also feel very welcome.
Hastings Court is light and welcoming, it is well run and the staff go out of their way to be kind and friendly, we are very fortunate to have it in Hastings.

An amazing care home, the food is up to high standards and rooms can be personalised to enhance the resident's experience. The staff are experienced, listening (very important) and sympathetic. Whilst expensive it is excellent value with no hidden extras. Compares very favourably with other care homes
of our experience.

We are delighted with the care Mum receives at Hastings Court. The staff are all professional, efficient, friendly and most importantly kind. There is a real feeling of home and Mum is clearly treated like an individual, with respect and with dignity. Mum's room is very clean and well-equipped. She
is happy there. The communal areas are lovely and provide a lovely space to bring Mum for coffee and cake when we visit! We feel welcome when we visit and love that we can come any day to see our lovely Mum.

So pleased we managed to get Mum here. The staff have always been so helpful and kind. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. I know that now Mum feels very safe in Hastings Court which is such a relief. Lovely setting, a great reception area and cake to die for! Also, love the entertainment
etc. laid on for everyone, all the staff on Sunflower are so good with Mum. but all the staff are doing such a great job. It always seems to be sunny with lots of things going on when we arrive at the reception. The stimulation and company are so good for Mum. The staff all have so much patience that you cannot do anything other than admire and bless them for their hard work and attention to everyone staying there. I know at times it must be sad but they never show it, always upbeat, chatting and laughing with us and Mum. Keep up the good work I always recommend you when I can. Many thanks for all your help and care.

Hastings Court is a beautiful building with attractive gardens and spacious functional rooms. The reception area is warm and inviting with delicious treats and coffee and hosted by helpful and friendly staff. The medical staff are attentive and keep a close eye on my mum, making sure she is properly
looked after and ensuring her days are as happy, peaceful and comfortable as possible. The care team are wonderful, always smiling and prepared to do whatever they can to help. All other staff I have met have all been so personable and receptive, it's always a happy experience!

My mum moved in here from another nursing home. What can I say? It's like a hotel, everything about this home is first class. The staff, management even the hospitality staff. The reception staff are so welcoming and happy all the time. I would recommend 110%.

My first job in the care sector started 30 years ago and despite exploring other career choices I have always returned to doing what I love the most. I have been part of the Hastings Court family since 2015 and I feel extremely proud to be a member of the management team in such a fabulous home.


I feel incredibly passionate about our residents receiving the best possible care during their time with us and all of our team members go above and beyond every day to ensure that this happens.


Seeing our residents doing the things that they love is such a treat for us all, from days out fishing, trips to the theatre or just a walk around the Old Town browsing through the antique shops, it’s sometimes the little things that count the most.

I started at Hastings Court in 2015. Before this, I worked in a small charity-run home for adults with learning disabilities for eight years. I started as a part-time Care Assistant whilst at college to study for my level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care Assistant to Team Leader, then Community Lead, and I am now deputy manager at Hastings Court. I love my job at Hastings Court. I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football.

Lately, I have been very involved with the commissioning of a new Oakland care home, whilst my very capable assistant, George, looks after Hastings Court.
I count myself as being so lucky to work in an environment where we are all one big family.

I train all new employees before they begin their roles at Hastings Court and ensure that all existing staff are up to date with all necessary training. I have worked here for 10 years, previously as a Night Manager and have seen the home grow from strength to strength. I am so proud to be part of a team that promotes professionalism to give the best care for all our residents.
