My mother has received outstanding care at Hastings Court Care Home. She was blind and completely bedridden for the whole of the 6 years she was a resident. I have been able to be with her every day for the last week of her life, all day. All her carers and every team member has supported her devotedly
and very kindly with great professionalism. I have also seen how every resident's needs are addressed individually and with great kindness.

My mum was admitted for end of life care, and from the moment she arrived, she was very well looked after. Her room was always clean and tidy, and she loved the floor to ceiling windows as she would she the trees outside. The staff were very attentive at such a difficult time for her, and it was greatly

My husband, who has the early stages of dementia and mobility problems, spent two weeks at Hastings Court allowing me to have a rest. The care he received was excellent. The staff were attentive, kind and caring. The food was of a very high standard. The whole feel of the place is like a lovely hotel.
He very much enjoyed his stay, we will certainly be using the facility again. To quote my husband on his return home, 'I had a lovely time, everyone was very nice. The food was good and I slept well.' What more could I ask. I know he can stay again and I can relax knowing he's having the very best care. I can't thank the staff enough.

Friendly staff but could do with more staff (carers). Very clean environment - nice dining area and lounge. The food is good. The laundry service is very slow.

I am extremely grateful to Hastings Court for taking such great care of my parents during their 2-week respite break. They were made to feel at home and were very well looked after. This made me feel at ease knowing they were happy and safe. I would like to thank them all for the care, entertainment,

As I'm bed bound the care and personal levels of contact with others means I never feel lonely or forgotten. All the staff at all levels could not be more caring and willing - especially as I need high levels of attention day and night. I cannot speak too highly of them.

Lovely home with a great happy feel to it. Hotel level of service with lots of activities. Always heard very good feedback on the meals and the tasty snacks. A real community feel and always going that extra bit to make sure everyone is involved from the home's own newspaper to drinks and singalongs.
Would certainly recommend to anyone.

All staff have been excellent in the care provided and we have been made to feel very welcome and that nothing is a chore. A full entertainment package was always keeping my dad busy and involved in the home. Even in these difficult and changing times, we were kept up to date in the care and adventures
that Dad got up to. Dad could often be a bit of a moaner and he never had a bad thing to stay in his time at Hastings Court, which is the highest praise possible!

Initially, Mum went into Hastings Court for a short stay whilst she recovered from surgery. She then told me that she loved it so much she wanted to stay.
We didn't know what to expect from a care home but we didn't expect such a lively atmosphere. Everyone is caring and friendly. It's so good to see
Mum so happy and smiling again.

My gran stayed at Hastings Court on two different occasions, once after a fall and again a year later for end of life/palliative care. She absolutely loved Hasting Court, the environment, the atmosphere, and most of all the amazing dedicated staff. She loved joining the variety of activities, the lovely
food, and feeling at home with friends. Her end-of-life care was outstanding, being treated with dignity, love, and person-centered care by the dedicated staff who worked around the clock.

One of a series of one to one visits with my dad who is at Hastings Court temporarily whilst recovering after a fall. Meetings are short but well organised to cope with the current covid19 measures. He is happy at the care home, but looking forward to returning to his own home as soon as practicable.

My father has been cared for in the most compassionate, professional and loving way. He had his 99th birthday in May, and I was allowed to visit, he had so many cards and present and a wonderful cake. They facilitate video calls and constantly keep me updated with his health and well being.
I cannot
speak highly enough of all the staff and the way in which they tackled a challenging time.

My first job in the care sector started 30 years ago and despite exploring other career choices I have always returned to doing what I love the most. I have been part of the Hastings Court family since 2015 and I feel extremely proud to be a member of the management team in such a fabulous home.


I feel incredibly passionate about our residents receiving the best possible care during their time with us and all of our team members go above and beyond every day to ensure that this happens.


Seeing our residents doing the things that they love is such a treat for us all, from days out fishing, trips to the theatre or just a walk around the Old Town browsing through the antique shops, it’s sometimes the little things that count the most.

I started at Hastings Court in 2015. Before this, I worked in a small charity-run home for adults with learning disabilities for eight years. I started as a part-time Care Assistant whilst at college to study for my level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care Assistant to Team Leader, then Community Lead, and I am now deputy manager at Hastings Court. I love my job at Hastings Court. I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football.
