Hastings Court has provided an excellent level of care for my mother. The dedicated staff ensure that the best standards are met and often exceeded to ensure that she is kept happy, healthy and safe. I would recommend Hastings Court to anyone regardless of their needs, as they have suitably recognised
and adapted to the needs of my mother, whose progressive onset of dementia took hold over a period of time. I am glad that we chose Hastings Court in our search for a suitable setting for my mother, and I am grateful for the excellent service they provide.

I have been a resident since November 2019. The care I have received has been exemplary. The care home is a new build boundary, so it is well equipped and spacious. The activities team arrange all kinds of events to ensure the residents social needs are met. I thoroughly recommend Hastings Court care
home.

I could not fault the care I received in my short respite stay. Quite impressive. Obviously I was in much pain with my knee replacement and effects from tablets so I could not enjoy all your facilities. But what I saw on my walks on my crutches along the corridor, I could see how lovely it all looked.

As an experienced carer, I have working in many Homes but have never been in such a lovely place. Nothing is too much bother, everyone is nice and caring. Surroundings are homely and relaxing. Well done to all who work here it is amazing.

I just wanted to express our heartfelt thanks, for a wonderful Christmas Day, for our Dad and his family.
The staff went over and above to make the day really special, and the Christmas lunch was delicious.
It was so kind of so many of the staff team, to work on Christmas Day to make it so lovely
for the residents.

I came unexpectedly to see one of the residents, and I can honestly say I haven't seen him so happy for a long time. He told me the care provided and the friendliness of the staff were all excellent. From what I saw (and I used to work for solicitors so have seen many residential homes) this home is
well run and provides a happy, relaxed atmosphere.

I don't know how to express my gratitude to all staff at Hastings Court. I could have two weeks respite care from my elderly parents and go away on holiday knowing they had the best care imaginable in a home from home experience. They thought they were in a 5-star hotel!! Every care in detail is given
to the decor, nursing and day to day care and the kindness throughout. The loving goodbyes they were given when they left were so considerate and I know my parents would happily return in the future.

My mother-in-law went into Hastings Court for respite in February and decided to stay as a permanent resident in May. We now all feel part of a large family with the staff and other residents. It has a really good feel about it and I go most days, sometimes twice a day, and I have observed the staff
to see how they are when they're with the residents and I can honestly say they are spot on. They have meetings most days to see how new residents are settling in and how residents that have been there long term are doing. The night staff go round hourly to check all the residents are safe and well. Just knowing that my mother in law is safe, happy and well looked after 24/7 has taken a huge amount of stress of all the family and we can't recommend the staff and Hastings Court highly enough.

This care home has a real buzz about it.
They looked after me really well during my stay earlier in the month.
They laid on some great entertainment in the downstairs area with singers and music and some lovely cakes.
I would really recommend them for their friendly and caring environment.

My father was transferred to Hastings Court from hospital in a very serious condition and we were told it was for end of life care.
Within three to four weeks, the wonderful staff had improved his condition to such a degree that they were able to transfer him from the nursing floor to the dementia
floor.
We have our father back and chatting to us in his own way and making jokes and playing his mouth organ. It makes us happy to see him like this. The staff genuinely care about the residents and we cannot praise them highly enough for their kindness and dedication.
The home itself is kept clean to a high standard and is comfortable and lovely.

I viewed several care homes before Hastings Court but as soon as I walked in I felt that this was the place for my Mum. We call it 'The hotel' because it is like a 5-star hotel in every way. Nothing is scrimped on and the family are supported as well as the resident. I cannot say enough good things
about the staff, the rooms, the facilities and activities. Our family is so relieved that Mum is now safe, content and so well looked after.

My wife was very well cared for during 3 weeks for respite. The staff were attentive, respectful and loving so that my wife felt generally at ease. She always looked forward to returning home and her mental condition seemed to be markedly improved by the end of her stay. Many thanks.

My first job in the care sector started 30 years ago and despite exploring other career choices I have always returned to doing what I love the most. I have been part of the Hastings Court family since 2015 and I feel extremely proud to be a member of the management team in such a fabulous home.


I feel incredibly passionate about our residents receiving the best possible care during their time with us and all of our team members go above and beyond every day to ensure that this happens.


Seeing our residents doing the things that they love is such a treat for us all, from days out fishing, trips to the theatre or just a walk around the Old Town browsing through the antique shops, it’s sometimes the little things that count the most.

I started at Hastings Court in 2015. Before this, I worked in a small charity-run home for adults with learning disabilities for eight years. I started as a part-time Care Assistant whilst at college to study for my level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care Assistant to Team Leader, then Community Lead, and I am now deputy manager at Hastings Court. I love my job at Hastings Court. I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football.
