Hastings Court

This was a respite care stay for my husband. The administration of the stay was very efficient. Staff spent time settling my husband. They got to know him personally and offered appropriate care and activities. Food was very good and reflected his dietary needs. Family visitors were warmly welcomed. A good experience.

The decision by the family and myself for my partner to go into care was the most difficult thing we all had to do. I can't thank the staff enough for the care and support shown to my partner and ourselves, it feels like one big family. Nothing is too much trouble for all of the staff to do. So a big thank you to every member of staff.

The care my mother has received in just her first six weeks has been second to none. They have helped her settle, nursed her when poorly, reassured her, made her laugh, look beautiful, and most of all feel safe. She is so happy and thriving, Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff, including organising special meal for my mum, my family and I. Kindness just pours out of everybody! Nothing compares to the professionalism, kindness and family atmosphere at Hastings Court.

My Dad spent 10 terrible weeks in hospital and it was such a relief for the whole family when he was welcomed into the 'oasis' of Hastings Court. I was struck by the professionalism of the management team, nursing staff, and care workers, all of whom have done their utmost to help Dad who is settling in well. When I came here I couldn't walk but with help and encouragement, I can now walk with a 4 wheel walker. I also suffered from depression but carers encouraged me to get up, should and start living again. I would recommend it to anyone I know.

Three days after a complete knee replacement, I arrived at Hastings Court to start a long period of discovery. The nursing staff took good care of the supply of my pain killers. Exercises were done under the direction of a physiotherapist at the hospital. Life at Hastings Court was made enjoyable with a comfortable bed, good food and a variety of entertainment. The friendly but professional behaviour of all the staff was a great help to one on my path to recovery. Thank you.

This was my mum's second stay at Hastings Court, for respite care pre and post a hip replacement operation. We are so glad that we found Hastings Court as it was such a wonderful, clean, very warm and caring, and safe place for mum to have stayed during this difficult time for her. The facilities are lovely, the food is excellent and the management and staff are all amazing. There are also so many great added extras from the hairdressing to the varied and interesting entertainments and events. We would most certainly recommend Hastings Court and our sincere thanks to everyone there for the care given to our mum.

I would definitely recommend Hastings Court, it feels warm and safe and the food is excellent. There is even a hairdressers and chiropodist available and lots of events to entertain the residents.

I would like to express my thanks and gratitude for the wonderful care given to my dad by all staff and management. Very person-centred, caring and respectful. Also, the kindness and empathy shown to myself at a difficult time by all staff both in the reception area and on my dad's floor. I feel confident and reassured that my dad is having the best possible care and support.

My mother has received outstanding care at Hastings Court Care Home. She was blind and completely bedridden for the whole of the 6 years she was a resident. I have been able to be with her every day for the last week of her life, all day. All her carers and every team member has supported her devotedly and very kindly with great professionalism. I have also seen how every resident's needs are addressed individually and with great kindness.

We are extremely satisfied with the care that is given to Nan. She has settled so well and is happy. She really enjoys the activities and is part more and more. The staff have always made our family feel very welcome and are friendly. The activities provided are of an outstanding standard. I'm a little bit jealous I don't live here! Thank you.

My mum was admitted for end of life care, and from the moment she arrived, she was very well looked after. Her room was always clean and tidy, and she loved the floor to ceiling windows as she would she the trees outside. The staff were very attentive at such a difficult time for her, and it was greatly appreciated by myself and my wife. Thank you all.

My husband, who has the early stages of dementia and mobility problems, spent two weeks at Hastings Court allowing me to have a rest. The care he received was excellent. The staff were attentive, kind and caring. The food was of a very high standard. The whole feel of the place is like a lovely hotel. He very much enjoyed his stay, we will certainly be using the facility again. To quote my husband on his return home, 'I had a lovely time, everyone was very nice. The food was good and I slept well.' What more could I ask. I know he can stay again and I can relax knowing he's having the very best care. I can't thank the staff enough.

Friendly staff but could do with more staff (carers). Very clean environment - nice dining area and lounge. The food is good. The laundry service is very slow.

I am extremely grateful to Hastings Court for taking such great care of my parents during their 2-week respite break. They were made to feel at home and were very well looked after. This made me feel at ease knowing they were happy and safe. I would like to thank them all for the care, entertainment, great food, outings and communication throughout. As I'm bed bound the care and personal levels of contact with others means I never feel lonely or forgotten. All the staff at all levels could not be more caring and willing - especially as I need high levels of attention day and night. I cannot speak too highly of them.

Lovely home with a great happy feel to it. Hotel level of service with lots of activities. Always heard very good feedback on the meals and the tasty snacks. A real community feel and always going that extra bit to make sure everyone is involved from the home's own newspaper to drinks and singalongs. Would certainly recommend to anyone.

All staff have been excellent in the care provided and we have been made to feel very welcome and that nothing is a chore. A full entertainment package was always keeping my dad busy and involved in the home. Even in these difficult and changing times, we were kept up to date in the care and adventures that Dad got up to. Dad could often be a bit of a moaner and he never had a bad thing to stay in his time at Hastings Court, which is the highest praise possible!

Very well led, I'm extremely happy with the care my mum receives.
