Wonderful home with lovely staff. The home is beautifully presented with themed decorations, a cinema room and relaxing reception area. It does not feel like a care home.

My mother was a resident in Hastings Court for three years. The accommodation and facilities are first class with a coffee bar and cinema. Daily activities including films and games and entertainment are organised daily and advertised in local new sheets. Staff are excellent, properly trained and ever
helpful. When my mother was dying she had constant attention, holding her hand and comforting her - absolutely excellent treatment.

My nan has been at Hastings Court for over 3.5 years. Each time I visit I can see that she is cared for really well with staff that genuinely care about her wellbeing. Always clean, good facilities, staff go above and beyond what is expected.

I have found all of the staff friendly, compassionate, professional and responsive to my father and to my requests when visiting or calling in to enquire about my father's condition.
The facility is clean, comfortable and welcoming, with numerous activities for the residents.

Hastings Court provided the most excellent end of life care for my mother. All members of staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and obliging. The nursing and care levels were very high. I don't think my mother could have come to a better place. It is comfortable and homely, yet feels like a hotel.
Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful "package" for people who are unwell.

The transformation to move mum from her previous nursing home was seamless - everything was well organised.
Staff are very welcoming and most importantly, they listen to my sister and I. Our mum is too poorly to be able to access all the facilities but other residents seem to be enjoying themselves.

The first time I entered Hastings Court to visit my aunt, I could see the level of care and commitment of all staff.
Nothing is too much trouble, for my aunt or us as visitors.
Its always clean and tidy, the corridors add to the homely feel with pictures and furnishings.
Well done to all the staff
who work so hard, even to the point of giving me hugs when it's been emotional.
You are all amazing.

My husband came for 2 weeks respite care on the dementia floor named "Sunflower".
He settled in quickly and seemed very happy and relaxed when we visited. The staff were very caring, kind and fun. The food was very nice, good choices, varied menu and snacks whenever you required. We particularly like
the free movement within the home to various lounges, cafe, garden, cinema with many activities provided. The home was very clean.

My mum is looked after really well, all the staff are great with her. Her room is lovely and the food is great. Mum gets all the support she needs and is treated with dignity and care. It is always clean and I would definitely recommend Hastings Court.

My experience of care homes is very limited but from the very first day, my mum came to Hastings Court care home I have been able to relax knowing that she was in good hands, in fact, I thought her days were numbered but the staff pulled her through and now she seems quite well and content. I am very
impressed by everything about the home. I just wish it didn't cost us so much.

My mother has severe dementia and has been a resident at Hastings Court since September 2015. She has received an excellent standard of care throughout most of her time at the home. The new management and staff team, under the leadership of the manager, has significantly improved the quality of care.
My mother currently receives an excellent standard of sensitive and supportive care at the home. Staff are extremely attentive to my mother's needs and always makes sure they do what they can to get her to participate in the things she can still enjoy.

My first job in the care sector started 30 years ago and despite exploring other career choices I have always returned to doing what I love the most. I have been part of the Hastings Court family since 2015 and I feel extremely proud to be a member of the management team in such a fabulous home.


I feel incredibly passionate about our residents receiving the best possible care during their time with us and all of our team members go above and beyond every day to ensure that this happens.


Seeing our residents doing the things that they love is such a treat for us all, from days out fishing, trips to the theatre or just a walk around the Old Town browsing through the antique shops, it’s sometimes the little things that count the most.

I started at Hastings Court in 2015. Before this, I worked in a small charity-run home for adults with learning disabilities for eight years. I started as a part-time Care Assistant whilst at college to study for my level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care Assistant to Team Leader, then Community Lead, and I am now deputy manager at Hastings Court. I love my job at Hastings Court. I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football.

My job is so varied and that's what I love about it! I support not only the home in general with all aspects of home care, plumbing, décor etc but help residents and their families to personalise their rooms.
Lately, I have been very involved with the commissioning of a new Oakland care home, whilst my very capable assistant, George, looks after Hastings Court.
