The Bistro is a wonderful respite area to have some quiet time during any visits, particularly if a loved resident is having a difficult day.
The staff work very hard and long shifts. Despite this, they were always cheerful and would go the extra mile for my aunt, who could be quite stubborn as regards what she would eat and drink. Ratio of staff to patients was occasionally low, however these were rare occurrences and management were open to ideas put forward for how such situations could be dealt with to maximise care giving for residents at these times.
I think our English Springer Spaniels became more well known than us!
Thank you Philip, of course we will miss you but you are right, your dogs more so! You are always welcome.
Thank you for your lovely review, your Grandmother and Grandfather are greatly missed
Thank you, it is nice to hear that you are happy with us and it is a pleasure to have you here.
Friends and family are encouraged to join in and always made welcome. The personal care both my parents receive is of a very high standard but the staff always consider their needs, maintain their dignity at all times and simply cannot do enough for them. The staff often work beyond their paid hours, tell me about particular issues my parents have raised and generally ‘go the extra mile’ time and time again.
The care and attention that she received throughout her time at this remarkable care home, until the very end, is nothing other than exemplary. It sets the bar extremely high in terms of quality
I feel so lucky to have found Hastings Court having suffered considerable upset and stress in viewing no less than 31 establishments across Sussex, Kent and London. Many did not fill me with confidence in the staff (or staffing structure), their knowledge, experience, level of expertise, or - crucially - demonstrated any degree of genuine caring commitment towards their residents.
It is this that sets Hastings Court apart from so many others.
At Hastings Court both the relatives and residents are taken through each step with the utmost care and

My first job in the care sector started 30 years ago and despite exploring other career choices I have always returned to doing what I love the most. I have been part of the Hastings Court family since 2015 and I feel extremely proud to be a member of the management team in such a fabulous home.
I feel incredibly passionate about our residents receiving the best possible care during their time with us and all of our team members go above and beyond every day to ensure that this happens.
Seeing our residents doing the things that they love is such a treat for us all, from days out fishing, trips to the theatre or just a walk around the Old Town browsing through the antique shops, it’s sometimes the little things that count the most.
I started at Hastings Court in 2015. Before this, I worked in a small charity-run home for adults with learning disabilities for eight years. I started as a part-time Care Assistant whilst at college to study for my level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care Assistant to Team Leader, then Community Lead, and I am now deputy manager at Hastings Court. I love my job at Hastings Court. I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football.
I have been part of the team at Hastings Court for four years now, and before this, I have worked in Administration for my entire career. I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and ensuring that our residents have the best quality of life at Hastings Court. I have progressed from Senior Business Administration Manager to Client Relations Manager within my time here. I really enjoy meeting new families and residents and welcoming them to Hastings Court.
My job is so varied and that's what I love about it! I support not only the home in general with all aspects of home care, plumbing, décor etc but help residents and their families to personalise their rooms.
Lately, I have been very involved with the commissioning of a new Oakland care home, whilst my very capable assistant, George, looks after Hastings Court.
I count myself as being so lucky to work in an environment where we are all one big family.
I train all new employees before they begin their roles at Hastings Court and ensure that all existing staff are up to date with all necessary training. I have worked here for 10 years, previously as a Night Manager and have seen the home grow from strength to strength. I am so proud to be part of a team that promotes professionalism to give the best care for all our residents.
