The building, decor and facilities are excellent. My partner and I were always greeted with warmth and humour and encouraged to come and go as we pleased.


The Bistro is a wonderful respite area to have some quiet time during any visits, particularly if a loved resident is having a difficult day.

The atmosphere is one of love, laughter and happiness and there is always some form of activity going either in the garden, the individual floors or in the Cinema room next to the Bistro.


The staff work very hard and long shifts. Despite this, they were always cheerful and would go the extra mile for my aunt, who could be quite stubborn as regards what she would eat and drink. Ratio of staff to patients was occasionally low, however these were rare occurrences and management were open to ideas put forward for how such situations could be dealt with to maximise care giving for residents at these times.


I think our English Springer Spaniels became more well known than us!

Wonderful care home, excellent service and care delivered. Clean and friendly environment. Lovely staff members, could not fault the home at all. Both my grandfather and grandmother were cared for at the home before they passed away and they were both very happy there and were so well looked after.
We cannot thank the home enough for everything they did for them.

My Aunt, known as 'Mum', is in her 100th year.
She has been a resident of Poppy (2nd floor).
I visit her almost every day and I have always been greeted with a warm welcome.
The care that Mum receives is always of a professional, dedicated and caring manner.

Very modern (new building) all facilities available. Carers work hard and are pleasant and helpful.
Mealtimes are a bit erratic.
Designated doctor is very unhelpful.
Hairdresser very useful and social facilities (bar, coffee) useful.

Overall we think the standard of care and provision is good.
Our friend was in for respite care/short term following a stay in hospital.

In our view, there have been discernible 'ups and downs' since opening but the family remain satisfied that my mother-in-law is as comfortable and settled as she could be anywhere, given the challenges that life sadly now presents to her. Certainly, the reception staff are always most welcoming and
the majority of care staff are approachable and respond to any concerns. My mother-in-law enjoys many of the activities, particularly those of a musical nature. It is with disappointment, that we understand some of these are to be curtailed this year. She really becomes much closer to 'being her old self' during these activities.

My parents have lived in Hastings Court for nearly a year and I cannot praise the home highly enough. Although obviously we would rather they did not have to live in residential care – as they do (one parent has Parkinson’s Disease and the other dementia), Hastings Court is the perfect place for them.
The care focuses on each and every resident as an individual – and residents are encouraged to engage in the range of activities provided. Activities include music therapy, pottery, baking, tai chi, outings to the pub or to shopping centres and many, many more.


Friends and family are encouraged to join in and always made welcome. The personal care both my parents receive is of a very high standard but the staff always consider their needs, maintain their dignity at all times and simply cannot do enough for them. The staff often work beyond their paid hours, tell me about particular issues my parents have raised and generally ‘go the extra mile’ time and time again.

My mother succumbed to the ravages of Alzheimer's Disease at Hastings Court after a long cruel journey.


The care and attention that she received throughout her time at this remarkable care home, until the very end, is nothing other than exemplary. It sets the bar extremely high in terms of quality

care that is consistent.
Every team member, in their specific role contributed to the individualised care of my mother and the other residents with genuine compassion that is palpable, and patience and professionalism that is humbling.


I feel so lucky to have found Hastings Court having suffered considerable upset and stress in viewing no less than 31 establishments across Sussex, Kent and London. Many did not fill me with confidence in the staff (or staffing structure), their knowledge, experience, level of expertise, or - crucially - demonstrated any degree of genuine caring commitment towards their residents.
It is this that sets Hastings Court apart from so many others.

This nursing home is second to none. The management and staff are excellent. Their concerns are for the residents - and entertainment is on a daily basis and the lifestyle staff work hard to keep the residents interested. I would not want to be anywhere else.

One of the very best homes that I have visited (in my job I visit many clients who are in residential care). It has a good atmosphere, clean, efficient and friendly staff. Food was good and rooms comfortable. The facilities look to be first class.

My husband has been in this excellent care home for one year and he was in another before Hastings Court. I could not wish for a better caring and happy place for him to be in. My friend came to Hastings Court for respite care and has settled very well at Hastings Court and although was contemplating going into a care home due to the stigma surrounding care homes as of late, they have now decided to stay permanently at Hastings Court. It is without a doubt the best care home
I have had the pleasure in visiting in a long time. Everyone is welcoming and the home itself has a calm and warming atmosphere which is apparent as soon as you step into the home. The staff are all wonderful and go far beyond their call of duty. Hastings Court is certainly a home from home and are just like a big family.

It's probably the hardest decision to make, placing a much loved relative or friend in a care home. It's even harder for that person to leave behind their home with all their treasured memories.


At Hastings Court both the relatives and residents are taken through each step with the utmost care and

My first job in the care sector started 30 years ago and despite exploring other career choices I have always returned to doing what I love the most. I have been part of the Hastings Court family since 2015 and I feel extremely proud to be a member of the management team in such a fabulous home.


I feel incredibly passionate about our residents receiving the best possible care during their time with us and all of our team members go above and beyond every day to ensure that this happens.


Seeing our residents doing the things that they love is such a treat for us all, from days out fishing, trips to the theatre or just a walk around the Old Town browsing through the antique shops, it’s sometimes the little things that count the most.

I started at Hastings Court in 2015. Before this, I worked in a small charity-run home for adults with learning disabilities for eight years. I started as a part-time Care Assistant whilst at college to study for my level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care Assistant to Team Leader, then Community Lead, and I am now deputy manager at Hastings Court. I love my job at Hastings Court. I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football.
