My sister-in-law has been in the care home over three years now. She is well looked after. I have always found staff very caring and helpful. The manager is very visible and I enjoy our chat when I visit. She brings happiness and makes a difference in every resident's life. We, as a family, could not ask for anything else. Ash Court Care Centre is a lovely care home and my sister-in-law is content and settled.

Ash Court is a very good place and staff look after the elderly very well. They are always kind, caring and deliver a high level of care. This is a testament to the manager's leadership skills. The manager is the best I have ever come across. She is always there for us.

Ash Court provides a safe and respectable place for our very elderly mum. The staff are lovely and attentive to not only our mothers' needs but to our needs too. This is her fourth year at Ash Court, and as she ages, we know that she is in good hands. The recent continuity of a new manager has ensured the level of care and dignity is maintained.

My mother is 104 years old. She has been at the care home for more than three years. I have always found the manager very supportive and considerate, who goes above and beyond every single day. Staff are caring, respectful and always treat my mother with dignity and love. I would recommend the care home wholeheartedly.

My mum has been at Ash Court since 2016. She is well cared for and knows all the staff. I have no issues whatsoever with her care being given on a daily basis. I really value and appreciate the fact that the manager is available to both residents and relatives and works hard to establish a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. She knows each resident and they know her as she makes a point of seeing them daily.

My 98-year-old mother receives excellent care at Ash Court. The atmosphere is relaxed, positive and friendly. The staff are very caring and professional. All seem motivated to provide the best possible life for residents. Management is responsive, helpful and constructive. My family and I are very grateful for everything the staff do for my mother. She regularly tells me that she cannot find fault with Ash Court.

My mother was a resident at Ash Court from 2016 until March of this year when she sadly passed away at the age of 91. During her stay at Ash Court, she was treated with great kindness, care and compassion by a lovely staff team. She had multiple health problems including advanced dementia and was bed bound with severe arthritis but the staff looked after her so well that Ash Court was her second home and the staff her adopted family.
I cannot thank the staff at Ash Court highly enough for their constant care for Mum and their extended kindness to our family. The previous manager and new manager, have been excellent, always on hand to offer assistance and a kind word. When Mum passed away the staff were really kind, making a heartbreaking time more bearable.

I recommend Ash Court wholeheartedly, I don't know how we would have managed without them.

Ash Court Care Centre staff have been absolutely amazing for my dad as the journey and care he has received has been second to none. I believe if it wasn't for their love and care for my dad, he survives happy and his temperamental self make me smile every time I see him knowing he's in brilliant hands, I ask him how he's been treated he's very happy I couldn't ask for more.

I cannot rate this home high enough in terms of medical but more importantly holistic care. All assistants genuinely care about each and every person and offer a bespoke plan of support relevant to their individual needs. Exceptional care and consideration given at all times. Thank you for treating my mum with dignity.

We would like to thank Ash Court nursing home for all of the care they give to our father. Dad became a resident in April 2020 at the very start of the Covid pandemic, when access to the care homes was subjected to lockdown restrictions. One of the important aspects of Ash Court is that they have the same staff on each floor, so continuity of seeing the same faces helped Dad to settle in quickly. Ash Court quickly became an extension to Dad's family, as we are not local to the area we were only able to visit on the weekends. The staff treated Dad like he was a family member and was affectionately called Uncle. At times Dad had very challenging behaviour and complex care needs; at all times he was treated with respect and was able to keep his dignity. Sadly Dad passed away but in the final weeks of his life, our Dad, his daughters and extended family were treated with the utmost love and care. We feel very fortunate that our father was placed in the care of the Ash Court team.

Ash Court Care Centre deserves a good review. My mother has been looked after there for the last three years. I have had no cause for concern. And no cause for anxiety. Its staff are the reason why. They are helpful and friendly. And I have seen no new faces which is very reassuring. They keep the care home neat as if you were walking into your own home. Communication is good. Cleanliness excellent. You visit and feel you want to stay. I would be happy to become a resident if I was ever that lucky in my later years.

The management and staff are friendly and always say hello and goodbye. If there is a problem the staff will come into the room to find out what's wrong and help you. The management will tell you if there are any changes to the home and give you a letter with the new rules. The residents in the home say hello and goodbye if you don't know them and when you go to the home all the time you get to know the residents.

Overall Experience

It was an understanding of complicated, difficult family histories, patient's specific needs, establishing the trust, my ex-husband was in good hands there. I could see him independently, personal space was respected. The maximum, in that end of life situation, was accommodated. It was so important to those left behind how he was cared for. Small gestures of cups of tea, physical touch maintained where possible, our coffee rituals, cigarette breaks, sitting around the Christmas tree, his photo taken. Candle lit after his passing. Respect for his things. When the centre was closed to visitors I could just wave and say hello from the distance. Nothing was a problem for the staff. They understood how difficult it all was. And they tried to help. The manager always sensitive and professional, so moving, his way with patients. And all the staff by always engaging with the patients and families and without judgement. Exceptional place of care.
