Welcome to Bridgeside Lodge Care Home in Islington. Situated by the beautiful Regent’s Canal, the luxurious modern gated property offers 24-hour care for those between the ages of 18 and 65. They provide specialist care for younger people with neurological and spinal conditions, and elderly people with or without Dementia. They are blessed with a long-serving team of carers, and partner therapists who deliver high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment.

The purpose-built home comprises 64 single bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While the bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends, enjoy one of the home's visiting entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.

At Bridgeside Lodge, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of their activities take place within the home environment and include arts/crafts, quiz nights and musical evenings. In the summer, they host garden parties and barbecues on their riverside terrace. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street, independent shops and local park all within a short distance.

The home's professional catering team delivers nutritionally balanced meals that are appealing to residents. Their professional food suppliers specialise in delivering high-quality food designed specifically for the healthcare sector.

My nan has been at Bridgeside for over a year now. The care she receives is outstanding. She is treated with so much respect and dignity by all staff, and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend Bridgeside - it is an outstanding care home for your loved ones.

My husband came from another care home where he lived for 5 years. Since he moved to Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre within a month we as a family noticed a big difference and improvement in his care. The staff treat us with dignity and respect. This is like our second family. The staff's commitment towards
care and people is excellent. We are now able to be a family again. The grandchildren are so happy to see their grandad which did not happen in the previous care home.

Management is fantastic, caring and warm. The staff on the second floor are lovely and caring. The events in the garden are brilliant. The musicians are excellent and lovely people. Everyone who works at Bridgeside has been so thoughtful of all my family's needs while we've been here visiting our mum.
I've never visited any other care home, but for me and my family, this is number one! Thank you for all your care and all that you have done

My dad came here in June. Took him a long time to settle, but now he is very happy here. We come a lot and we are always welcome. They have a lot of BBQs. We love to come and meet with other people. We love the care home.

It's a pleasure to give this review. My mum moved in mid-June 2022, after a stay in a hospice for symptom control and having received a terminal diagnosis in Jan 2022. She was only at Bridgeside Lodge just shy of three weeks, before passing away. Naturally, the situation was extremely sad and stressful,
but made less so by the Brightside Lodge staff. I had no idea about care/nursing homes, but I consider Brightside Lodge an excellent facility. I first visited in mid-May and immediately had a good impression. The registered manager spent a good amount of time with me discussing my mum's situation and needs. I formed a view of a sufficiently-staffed facility led by a caring and concerned manager. I believe my mum was well cared for. The deputy manager was excellent, as was the nurse on my mum's floor. There were many care-workers (I can't mention all by name). They cared for my mum well - showing great compassion, kindness, understanding and knowledge (even to me, when I ended up staying overnight in my mum's room). Brightside Lodge had a strong family vibe!

The care my mother received at Bridgeside, was exceptional. The manager and her team looked after her as if she was family. We never had a moments worry about her safety and security. We were never made to feel unwelcome. Looking after us was also somehow part of their remit. The support they offered
us was incredible. I cannot recommend this team highly enough.

My father-in-law has been a resident at Bridgeside, throughout the Covid crisis that has placed incredible strains on us all, but in particular, care homes. Throughout this time the manager and staff, have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of the residents, visitors and staff. Their level of care
and concern for the residents has been unwavering, for which they will always have my respect and appreciation. Staff are very responsive to the needs of those in their care and will adapt and change the service they provide, depending on the changing needs of the resident, for whom they are caring. Staff are always friendly and there is an open and welcoming atmosphere that has been fostered by the management team. Regular concerts are facilitated and some individual entertainment in the rooms of those residents who are bed-bound. Valentine's day was celebrated with a mass of colourful hearts and decorations throughout the building and Christmas was the same. Bravo and thanks!

A very special home for my brother who has dementia. When I visit, I feel he is the only resident, he is so well cared for. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm from the moment of entry and this is led from the top down. It is the same when leaving, there is always a goodbye and sometimes a chat if
needed. Apart from the duty of care, good hygiene, good food etc, the one to one acknowledgement of my brother’s likes and the small things that make him happy and bring a smile to his face, are what makes Bridgeside extra special and helps us, his family, so much emotionally when walking away and leaving him. Thank you, everybody, at Bridgeside Lodge.

Since moving from a well-known range of nursing homes, my sister's health has improved. Within a week a medication review concluded that two medications needed to stop. The care staff treat her with great care, dignity and are very attentive to her specialist needs. The staff to resident ratio is better
than the last home. The staff are friendly. Live music played individual to residents several times a week. There is a resident cat. It overlooks the Regent canal, calming views out of the windows. Good value for money.

My brother is nearing the end of his life and the manager and her team have provided exceptional care. They have always been supportive, understanding and delivered a professional service. The manager has always found time from her busy schedule to talk to my brother's daughter and myself on issues
