Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre

The manager and her team take such amazing, kind care of the residents. When I speak to family members they praise the staff without prompting. The residents are the centre of their world. This is a truly wonderful home and I love visiting it.

The manager and her team and Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre supported my mother over the course of twelve years following a hypoxic brain injury which led to paralysis from the neck down and extreme communication challenges. During an incredibly painful and traumatic time for my mother as well as us, as a family, Bridgeside, from the very first moment, made us feel part of their family. Offering kindness, compassion, understanding and a shoulder to cry on. My mother had incredibly complex needs and Bridgeside Lodge staff were able to cater to them, not just from a duty-bound perspective but also from a place of genuine care and consideration. I speak on behalf of everyone in my family when I say that we are so grateful for the care my mother received whilst at Bridgeside and I thank each and every one of the staff who cared for my mother from the bottom of my heart. You are all angels.

Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre is a kind, calm and deeply caring home. I am so grateful for the loving and kind care my brother receives here.

The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and it is a huge comfort to us as a family that our loved one is being taken care of by such an incredible team of people.

I am so sad about how things are in the UK, how expensive care is and how the whole country treats their old people. They say you can tell a culture by how they treat their old and Britain is failing and the costs are ridiculous. Everything should be standard charges and there should be a national service to teach the young to work with the old for two years so that they have an understanding and an appreciation of what happens at the end of life.

I am very happy with Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre. Everyone is friendly and kind, and I believe that all residents are being cared for with pride care and dignity. The home is an absolute pleasure to visit.

This is an excellent care home. All the staff are friendly and hardworking. My mum is well cared for, and I am so happy with the care she receives; she could not be in a better place. The manager is so caring and attentive and knows every single resident. I know my mum is safe and happy.

I visit my friend's partner roughly every 5 to 8 weeks. I have noticed a marked progress in her condition, in particular, she is able to communicate and respond more in head movement and expressions. I can see she is so well cared for by everyone in the team and nothing is too much trouble for them. They deliver a professional and exceptional level of care. The extracurricular activities promote the patients and their families, community spirit and family value. It is this holistic approach to her care that I feel contributed to her improvement.

The care and self-hygiene my sister receives are excellent. She is very happy at Bridgeside Lodge.

My nan has been at Bridgeside for over a year now. The care she receives is outstanding. She is treated with so much respect and dignity by all staff, and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend Bridgeside - it is an outstanding care home for your loved ones.

My husband came from another care home where he lived for 5 years. Since he moved to Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre within a month we as a family noticed a big difference and improvement in his care. The staff treat us with dignity and respect. This is like our second family. The staff's commitment towards care and people is excellent. We are now able to be a family again. The grandchildren are so happy to see their grandad which did not happen in the previous care home.

Management is fantastic, caring and warm. The staff on the second floor are lovely and caring. The events in the garden are brilliant. The musicians are excellent and lovely people. Everyone who works at Bridgeside has been so thoughtful of all my family's needs while we've been here visiting our mum. I've never visited any other care home, but for me and my family, this is number one! Thank you for all your care and all that you have done

Bridgeside Lodge Care Centre embodies what it means to be resident-centred. For me, this has meant both a clear understanding of my mother's needs as well as a plan on how to address those needs. Above all, this is all done with compassion, kindness and professionalism.

My dad came here in June. Took him a long time to settle, but now he is very happy here. We come a lot and we are always welcome. They have a lot of BBQs. We love to come and meet with other people. We love the care home.

I am writing to thank the Bridgeside team for their incredible attention to detail whilst maintaining a very caring and focused service. My father was very unwell in his last days and all the staff were incredibly supportive, not just of my father, but were also concerned about my mother to ensure she was looking after herself. My heartfelt thanks to the whole team. My brother and I have been so impressed and would recommend Bridgeside as a wonderful and attentive care home.

It's a pleasure to give this review. My mum moved in mid-June 2022, after a stay in a hospice for symptom control and having received a terminal diagnosis in Jan 2022. She was only at Bridgeside Lodge just shy of three weeks, before passing away. Naturally, the situation was extremely sad and stressful, but made less so by the Brightside Lodge staff. I had no idea about care/nursing homes, but I consider Brightside Lodge an excellent facility. I first visited in mid-May and immediately had a good impression. The registered manager spent a good amount of time with me discussing my mum's situation and needs. I formed a view of a sufficiently-staffed facility led by a caring and concerned manager. I believe my mum was well cared for. The deputy manager was excellent, as was the nurse on my mum's floor. There were many care-workers (I can't mention all by name). They cared for my mum well - showing great compassion, kindness, understanding and knowledge (even to me, when I ended up staying overnight in my mum's room). Brightside Lodge had a strong family vibe!

Wonderful staff. Fabulous location. A place that looks after not only the resident, but welcomes their family and friends with open arms too. Can't recommend this place enough. End-of-life care is exceptional.

The manager and her team are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. They look after not only the client/resident but also the whole family. I can't recommend Brideside Lodge too highly.
