This care home is what I call a home away from home. The residents are cared for in a loving way with patience and attentiveness. The staff are always pleasant and very welcoming. The residents are always very tidy and doing interesting things to stimulate their brains. The best care home I've ever

The Peartree Care Home staff are friendly and if I have any concerns about my mum and I tell them they sort it out quickly. She is very happy there she enjoys the food and the way they look after her I think its a very nice comfy and clean place

My mother-in-law has settled in very nicely. The rooms are a good size and clean and bright. We have been able to bring in personal items from her home to make her more comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. She was seen by their Doctor within a couple of days and some health issues were addressed
swiftly. As a family, we are all relied on to see that she is happy and comfortable as well as safe.

I was very anxious about my mother's first night in the home but I was put at ease the following day when I visited. She looks, happy, comfortable and well cared for. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I am happy to see my mum joining in with the activities and socialising with other residents.
It is a bright, clean and welcoming environment, and the residents seem very happy.

All Staff really care for the residents, they are polite and welcoming. The activities are always fun and well organised, food is good, home is well cleaned and tidy and the care overall is fantastic, there is great communication between the team in all departments. I always get a warm welcome when

My Aunt is very happy at Peartree and is being very well looked after. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the home is always very clean and homely. We recently went to their Jubilee party which we really enjoyed all the staff worked very hard to make it enjoyable. We look forward to more

The staff are extremely helpful and they care very well for my mother-in-law. They have healed her pressure ulcer. When she arrived to this care home, she was only bedbound, now with the care home's staff, nurses, carers and management's help, she is getting an electric wheelchair and is going out and
has better quality of life. I would like to thank Peartree Care Home staff for all they do for her.

My mother has been living at Peartree since August and is doing very well there. She is treated with great courtesy, the staff are highly professional, and I feel it’s very easy to communicate with everyone there. Mum’s room is smart, modern-looking and very bright. It was such a difficult decision
to have to place my mother into a care home environment, but it has been a huge weight off my mind, and I know she is being cared for kindly, knowledgeably and professionally, all at the same time. The manager and staff are great. I do very much recommend this home!

Good communication, very aware of residents' needs. Every resident is referred to by first name and staff is very friendly and helpful. They are looking after my mother very well and I am very pleased overall with the service and care provided.

Peartree Care Home is very good and to be recommended on numerous levels - I shall list just a few:
Accommodation - communal areas and individual rooms (en-suite) are spacious, clean, bright and kept in excellent decorative order.
The main staff manager is exceptional. She has an open-door policy
where staff, residents and relatives can effectively speak to her at any time and raise or resolve any issues. She goes out of her way to know everyone personally by name and endorses a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.
Most staff are very friendly. Permanent staff turn-over is fairly low are there are usually a few staff on each shift who know a resident well and can engage with their needs.
Food is balanced and frequent with healthy snacks like fruit. Prior to Covid-19 visitors were encouraged to eat with their relations.
Prior to Covid-19 - Social Events for residents were numerous, this is picking up again.
As in most Homes - Clothing has to be labelled well otherwise it will be lost in the laundry.

Mum moved into Peartree during the lockdown. The staff were very understanding. Mum took a while to settle but the staff were fantastic. I have always been kept up to date with regular telephone calls. During the lockdown, we were able to facetime and garden visits were allowed. The staff at Peartree
have been fantastic and mum has settled now and calls Peartree her home. I am now visiting more which is great.

My mother was a resident at Peartree Care Home for 2 years, she had her own room with ensuite, she was able to have personal possessions such as ornaments, photos even small pieces of furniture anything really that made her room familiar. My mother had her hair done by the resident hairdresser every
Friday and enjoyed plentiful visits from her famil. She was kept well dressed and clean and tidy, if she were unwell the GP was notified as was I immediately. My mother sadly passed away on the 6th May 2021, and although this was an extremely difficult time and Covid restrictions were in place myself and my family were given compassionate visits and were shown great kindness and understanding, Peartree is a very special place and I'm so glad that Mum got to spend her last couple of years in such a kind and professional environment.

Adam joined Excelcare in February 2025. His move into care came after navigating my way through choosing a home for his grandmother who had been diagnosed with dementia with Lewy bodies.
