My sisters and I are happy with how the staff cared for my late mother and maintained constant communication with us. This gave us such comfort and reassurance particularly after the stress and panic of mum living alone. I especially appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the homely atmosphere
they provided. The fact that a member of staff took the time to attend mum's funeral and the memorial service are testaments to how much they understand and care about their work. Thank you Peartree!

I highly recommend Peartree Care Centre for all the wonderful care shown to my mother during her 10-year stay. All the staff are committed and carry out their (sometimes very difficult) duty with kindness, professionalism and a smile. The range of activities they have the option to take part in is vast
and varied. My mother loved participating in the ballet and came alive and animated holding a Geko and Spider. Well done to all at Peartree.

My father has been staying at Pear Tree Nursing Home where the genuine kindness and gentleness of the staff have been outstanding. I have been able to spend nights with my father and the staff have been so accommodating and helpful that I know my father, now in the last stage of his life, will be looked
after with dignity, respect and most of all patience and understanding.

After months of rigorous research, we settled upon Peartree. We can honestly say that it was one of the best choices we made for our mother. Peartree staff are caring, consistent and respectful. They certainly engage with each resident as an individual. I'll give one example, I had taken mum off for
a brief outing to the High Street up the road. As we sat in the car a Peartree member of staff spotted us and came over to chat - her focus was my mother even outside the care home. She was so evidently joyful that mother was getting fresh air. It left a lasting impression.

My friend who I was Power of Attorney for had no close relatives living locally so she relied on friends to care for her. This proved difficult to do at home so I managed to get her into Peartree after a long stay in hospital. Peartree's staff were absolutely wonderful and cared for her really well
until she died in her lovely room in the home. I cannot thank them enough for making her last days so peaceful. I have also found the memorial service very uplifting and it is a lovely idea.

Adam joined Excelcare in February 2025. His move into care came after navigating my way through choosing a home for his grandmother who had been diagnosed with dementia with Lewy bodies.


In 2018 he joined Bupa as a Home Manager and has worked in care since. Adam has a passion for providing person centred quality care to his residents and support to families.
