My wife was a resident at Riverlee for just over 2 years. She died there on 23rd March 2026. As a daily visitor to her at the home I got to know the place well and many of the staff too. I formed lovely friendships with quite a few of them. My wife's deterioration was quite marked and sad to witness, but the care, skill and warmth of the staff was so reassuring and I really learnt to respect them for the job they did. As she came closer to death, these charactoristics came more to the fore, as they treated her with gentle compassion and skill. The non-carers were as impressive as well with their interactions.
Thank you for sharing such a moving tribute. We're deeply honoured to hear how supported you felt during such a difficult time and that the compassion, skill and warmth of the whole team brought reassurance and comfort. Your words mean a great deal to everyone involved.
Mum has been a full time resident since Nov ' 25 after a stroke. She has settled well mainly due to the considerate care by all the staff. They are gentle and encouraging, treat her as an individual and very aware of this independent and her needs.
Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. It's wonderful to hear that your mum has settled so well and that our team's gentle, personalised care has helped her feel comfortable. We're truly grateful for your kind words.
It's critical to have your loved ones' clothes and personal property labeled with their names because they will get lost. Personal items of his were missing and he was wearing items that weren't his so we are addressing that issue. Appreciate the staff's help in facilitating his phone calls when family calls. We appreciate that.
Many thanks to Bria, Evelyn and Julietta for providing great care and answering all my questions. I didn't get the names of all the staff I encountered but did take photos and expressed my gratitude in person. Will be back to visit soon again!
The location is convenient to both the DLR station and the London Bus stop after a 7 minute walk so it's easy to get to.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We're delighted to hear that you found the staff helpful and the home clean and secure. We appreciate your note about labeling personal items and will continue working with you to resolve this. Your kind words for Bria, Evelyn, and Julietta mean a lot to the team. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.
Since arrival the treatment and staff has been lovely and good. Thanks for all the help and support.
Thank you for your kind words! We're so pleased to hear you've had a positive experience and that our team's care and support have made a difference.
Overall, I've found the staff to be very helpful, caring and personable. With few exceptions, I feel that my uncle is getting very good care, he is well fed, even though he's not a big eater. I feel assured of his continuing good care, thanks to the staff. The facility is well maintained and clean.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're pleased to hear that your uncle is receiving the care and attention he deserves, and that our staff have made a positive impression through their helpful and personable approach. It's also reassuring to know that you find the facility well maintained and clean. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team.
The transfer of my sister was done very well. Good co operation between management and staff and settled period going well. Top pick when new nurse change over, they phone me to let me know she is doing well and any concerns I had.
Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear that your sister's transfer was handled smoothly and that communication between our management and staff has supported a positive settling-in period. We're especially glad that our team kept you informed during the nurse changeover and addressed any concerns you had. Your kind words are greatly appreciated.
I am very grateful to everyone at Riverlee for their friendship, care and support.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. It means the world to us to know that Riverlee became a true home for your husband and a place of comfort and friendship for you both. We feel privileged to have been part of his journey and to have shared so many meaningful moments with you along the way.
I have found the new management very good and approachable. I thing I have found the most beneficial for my husband is the stopping of moving staff around. I can see how it could benefit staff in a small way but so detrimental to dementia residents.
Thank you so much for your kind words and valuable feedback. We're truly pleased to hear that you've found the new management team approachable and supportive. It's especially heartening to know that the decision to reduce staff movement has had a positive impact on your husband's well-being.
I come to visit my friend once a week. My lady is in a fantastic home, I find the staff are always keeping her occupied, as she is a hand full at time. I won't wish her to be in a better place than this care home. Thank you to all the staff that work with my friend on a daily basis.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so glad to hear your friend is happy and well cared for. It means a lot to our team to know their efforts are appreciated. We'll be sure to pass on your kind words.
I seen a lot of changes since two years. Rapid changes. I appreciate my mum's care plan been very laid out. Mum's has been looked after, my mum had replaced her chair with a recliner chair, this made her very relaxed. She more at peace, she falls asleep in the recliner chair, and is more happier. Very much okay with staff day and night staff she familiar with all faces now. This took a while.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear your mum is feeling more relaxed and at peace, especially with the new recliner chair. It's great to know she's now familiar with our team and feels comfortable with both day and night staff. We truly appreciate your kind words and continued trust in our care.
I have absolutely no problems or concerns regarding my mothers care. The staff are helpful considerate and professional.

The nursing and non-nursing staff demonstrate a sincere care for both the physical and mental well-being of my mother. She is calm and clearly appreciates everyone's hard work.

The care home staff are aware of mums needs and wants, the staff take very good care of mum. The admin staff are very polite and helpful, they know their jobs very well.

I feel at peace when I leave my Mother after a visit.
I can visit her at any time during the day.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful review for our team at Riverlee. We're delighted to hear that you feel at peace knowing your mother is so well cared for. Our staff work hard to create a warm and supportive environment for both our residents and their families, and it's...
We felt the home was a bit tired in decor and could have been cleaner - dad had an en suite toilet which did smell a bit. Dad took his own tv which was great and meant he could be comfortable in his own room. On return home, we discovered some of his clothes went missing despite labels and were never found. Overall good.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We're pleased to hear that our team at Riverlee Nursing Home was welcoming and friendly to both your dad and your family, and that our care assistants helped put your minds at ease. Ensuring our residents feel comfortable and...
Extremely poor palliative care for my Mum, do not send anyone here that needs palliative care as they have no idea how to care for someone. Left my poor Mum in agony and I had to arrange extra medication for her as she was suffering.
Thank you for your review. We are fully investigating this complaint and will respond to you directly as soon as we have completed our findings.
Riverlee are amazing, my aunt is happy and well cared for. When I visit all the team are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and tidy when a variety of activities for residents to engage in.
Thank you for your lovely feedback! We're delighted to hear that your aunt is happy and well cared for at Riverlee. Our team works hard to create a welcoming and engaging environment, and it's great to know that this reflects in your visits. Thank you for your kind words and support.
I'm very satisfied with my dad's care. Great staff, good and very clean. My father likes it too.
Thank you for your review for Riverlee, the team will be delighted to read your comments.
Today everything is calm and purposeful - staff are quietly looking after the personal needs of the residents whilst the lounge is fumigated. My mother is clean and comfortable which is as much as I can hope for. All is good. Travelling as I do from Nottingham I visit weekly usually (strikes prevent train travel at times) I have only once (two weeks ago, Feb 10) been disappointed by how I found my mother - she and her bed were a mess) possibly due to staff rotation? My mother is bedbound and doesn't eat meals.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Please rest assured we are very proactive when it comes to checking our residents are comfortable, especially if they are in bed. Please do speak to the home manager directly with any concerns, her door is always open.
I went to register my uncle with Riverlee Nursing Home and was warmly welcomed and given a cup of tea. The home was clean and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The staff were very accommodating and showed me around. I must say I was very impressed.
Thank you for your review the team at Riverlee will be so happy to read your comments and we welcome your uncle.

I'm passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. My background includes involvement in the voluntary sector, and I take pride in creating environments where residents feel valued, enriched, and supported.

My greatest achievement is seeing the residents having fun. This gives me comfort - I love seeing the residents laughing and smiling.

My name is Antonio Meloni I have been working in the care sector since 1990 as a carer and activities coordinator. I started working at Riverlee in November 2020 as an activities coordinator and I really enjoy my job - every day is different. I enjoy chatting with the residents making them happy and engaged with various activities. I also get along with all members of the staff who are all very nice and caring.

My greatest passion is making the residents happy, alongside their family members.
I am also our infection control champion, ensuring that residents are safe and staff follow public health guidelines.
