The staff at Tower Bridge are, in the vast majority of cases, caring and keen to improve the service.
Some routines seem to inhibit the delivery of a prompt response to the call bell as does the occasional lack of staff.
I accept that the home tries to provide the statutory number but this is significantly
short of the number required for the needs of residents and they often have to wait longer than they should to have intimate needs met.
Care staff, office staff, activities team, house keeping, maintenance and management do all they can to make Tower Bridge a home.
Food is variable, though kitchen staff consult and make changes where they can.

I feel the care home are trying to give my cousin the best they can.


However, I feel my cousin is in the wrong place. He is a stroke victim and should be in a place with other stroke victims.

Very helpful, they look after mum accordingly to her needs. The hygiene is good. Always a nice cup of tea and cake. Reception staff are always kind and helpful.

We find it clean the staff are friendly and help with any concerns. The food is fresh and varied, Medication always on time. Sometimes short staffed overall relative content and well cared for which is the main thing.

My mum moved in Nov 2016, she has settled in very well. She looks better in herself, she is clean and tidy and has a visit to the hairdresser every week. The staff and management are caring and friendly. We are very happy with the home.

My mother is well cared for in it's widest sense i.e. the homes cleanliness, food, medical checks/medicine dispensing and communication of these is good. Staffing levels are adequate and the relatively new management team have all but eradicated reliance on temporary carers/nursing, which was prevalent
earlier in the year and in 2015. One area that continues in my view to be substandard is the degree of "quality time" i.e. one to one time that is spent with individual residents. Activities staff are either part time and/or stretched in terms of record keeping, number of residents they have to attend to. Part of this is likely also to be due to the level of experience of some carers. Overall an improving quality of care is being provided at Tower Bridge.

I am very happy with the service and care the staff provide for my husband in the 3 years he has been in the care home, there have been many managers but the manager and assistant manager we have are the best we have ever had.
