Acton Care Centre is the largest capacity Gold Care Homes owns, facilitating Nursing Care for residents over the age of 65. The purpose-built home with modern amenities offers 71 beds for general care and 54 beds for Dementia care. Acton offers first-class, unique, personalised care with testament to their well trained staff supporting those with very complex needs including Palliative Care, Nursing, Dementia and those with disabilities.

As indeed we called this care home as our "own home", spending a few years in here since 2010, we've been looked after so well 24/7. Very good indeed, as we've got our own family in London and around the world, presents been sent to us, gifts given from them.
A special request to whom it may concern
- is there any chance for us to have some sort of help for us, "adult education" as we know that we still want to learn more about technology, to go with the time we still have and are eager to learn and we do really need help. The help will be highly appreciated indeed. We need your help. Our life will be much much easier if somebody shows us about IT to learn more.

I have found the care provided by staff to my mother outstanding. In my experience, they are unfailingly welcoming, kind, patient and calm. My only sibling lives outside the UK and we both are grateful to know our mother is in a caring and safe community.

My first impression has been of a very welcoming, warm place with a helpful informative person on the front desk to show me the way. Each and every nurse had a smile and kind words - nothing seems too much trouble. Mum being well looked after in a clean, warm caring environment with plenty of nurses
attending in her own room - what more could you ask?

My late wife stayed in the Acton Care Home from the end of April 2018 until 21 September 2018 on which day she died there. In that time my wife was looked after in an excellent manner. All the nurses who cared for my wife were excellent, very professional and also very warm and friendly. My wife's dignity
was totally respected. I cannot thank enough all the staff at Acton Care Home. They deserve a 5-star recommendation.

Having read lots of news about care homes, I was dubious about them. However, I have found the staff very kind and helpful to me and my partner. If I have a query, they are very helpful and believe me I have lots of queries. They are kind to all the residents that I have seen, so I am happy for my husband

The patient coordinator is fantastic, there isn't a better person for the job.

The nurses are absolutely wonderful, kind, caring, compassionate, respectful. The carers are also wonderfully kind, funny and compassionate.


The gardens are lovely and the lounge is OK. The receptionist, the activity director and the senior staff and the kitchen are perfect for their positions -

kind, happy, respectful and friendly.

Acton Care Centre does exactly what it says, it cares. My mother could not have been looked after better. The staff were always kind, attentive and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and reception is always welcoming.

I am very happy with the care my Husband is receiving at Acton Court. He has very complex needs which the care home were able to fulfil straight away with 1:1 care. The care home Manager is very supportive and understanding. She is very good at what she does.

My mother recently spent about a month at Acton Care Center. I was very impressed with the level of care. I found the staff to be professional but above that, they were courteous, warm-hearted and dedicated to their work. I enjoyed going to see my mother because the staff there was a breath of fresh
air. I have had experience of other care homes and, even though my mother was only there for a short time, I have never seen that level of care before. I visited my mother many times over the month and saw many interactions between staff and residents.
The care offered there is exceptional but perhaps the most impressive aspect of it was the loving, skilled and cheerful attention which was given to all residents without exception, and it never seemed to waver. It made such a difference to my mother's well-being. She came out of herself and was a different, happier person for the experience. Acton Care Center is a role model and the staff deserve this review.

Not suitable for care provided. Cruel and uncaring staff. My mum was supposed to stay there for 4 weeks from 19/03/18 for respite care but we had to bring her home due to lack of care. My mum is a stroke patient whose right-sided paralysis. My elderly dad and brother take care with help of carers.
This has put my mum's dignity and care at risk. My mum had an assessment done at home from your member of staff so you were aware of her all commodities yet the staff weren't able to comply with it. I am glad my mum is compos mentis and pray that she doesn't ever have to end in care upon the mercy of uncaring, unprofessional individuals.

My father has been a resident of this care home for 6 years. His overall care is good. He is a vulnerable patient because he is bedbound, unable to ask for help or to speak. Staff have learned how to communicate with him, they look for triggers and signs to help ensure his pain and comfort needs are
met. He is very happy here.
