I would like to thank the staff of Birchwood Grange for all they have done for my mother.
Their compassion and kindness is commendable.
My mother has made so many friends at the home and every time I visit she has a smile on her face, which I think says it all!

Birchwood Grange was truly a home for my mother. The staff were amazing providing great care no matter the complication. No care home will ever be the same as home but Birchwood Grange staff did their best to make it a home. Their activities coordinator is best in class and truly distinguishes versus

I have been pleased with the care, facilities, food etc. provided at Birchwood Grange Care Home.
But at times, I have seen the staff working very hard, long hours and perhaps extra shifts. This result in tiredness which can then reflect on the quality of care.
It would be good if the staff situation
can be looked into and maybe there is a need for extra staff available. Values in health care can be included as part of their ongoing training. Thank you.

It is better than Norway. It is more colours here than it is in Norway. We have more healthy food in the care homes. I think it is important with the health, but it is more fun to live here than in Norway. In Norway, you just wait to die, but here you have many things to do and you can have fun while

Very pleased with the skilled, caring staff who care for my dad.
The rooms are lovely and clean.
There is lots to do for the residents.
It's so nice to take my dad for a cup of tea in the tearoom where it's free.
Lots of musicians and dogs visit - which is great for my dad's dementia.

I cannot praise Birchwood Grange highly enough.
My mother became seriously ill one day after admittance and I am so grateful that she is facing the end of her life here.
She has been treated with expert care, dignity and respect.
As for our family, we have wanted to be present to the end and we have
been looked after so well by the staff at Birchwood Grange.
They constantly check in with us to check that my mother's needs are being met and they absolutely have been.

My mum received the most amazing end of life care at Birchwood Grange.
Every member of staff showed the highest level of care and professionalism.
The home itself was exceptional. feeling homely and a happy environment.
The staff didn't just look after mum but provided us with support at a very difficult

The decision to place my father in a nursing home was very difficult and a last resort due to his deteriorating health. The staff at Birchwood Grange were very supportive when he arrived there. He settled in immediately and appeared happy and comfortable During the summer, he was encouraged to enjoy
time outdoors and attend entertainment and visit the Mandir for prayers. Towards the end of his life, the staff provided excellent care, kindness with dignity. Our family thank all the staff.

My mother stayed here for respite until her house was suitable for her to return, she was very unwell and needed support 24 hours with care and treatment. All staff gave her respect, privacy and dignity at all times making sure she was safe at all times. My other family members from abroad were extremely

In comparison to other care homes I have visited, Birchwood Grange definitely ticks all the boxes. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and caring and the atmosphere is always warm and positive. The tasteful decor makes the place feel homely and I particularly like that there's various forms of activities

I have been a volunteer for over two weeks. In this short experience, I have seen the great amount of care given by the staff to all the residents.
I have also seen something that does not exist in many other care homes which is an activity time. During this time the staff all work together to entertain
the residents either by activities where they sit and enjoy (like music) or activities which they personally join (like art).

Our auntie has been made very comfortable. The care home staff are second to none, very attentive and caring. Sometimes it's the smaller details that make her stay comfortable, like a pillow resting under her arm, whilst she is sleeping. The staff are all amazing and extremely polite and welcoming.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful with much attention to detail, giving a sense of calm and tranquillity.

I’m Kerry, General Manager at Birchwood Grange Care Home, with nearly 30 years in health and social care. My background includes domiciliary care, residential services, and supported living for people with learning disabilities. I’ve led home care services and most recently worked with a charity where I was proud to oversee CQC Outstanding-rated services.


Honesty, integrity, and respect guide my work and are at the heart of everything I do. I’m passionate about championing the care profession and supporting staff to deliver the best possible care.
