The care and attention of the carers and nurses are fantastic, they are always helpful. As you come into the home you see a fantastic display of ornaments in the front it's breathtaking, so much effort has been put into it and also the back garden. The care home is a credit to all the staff who work

My experience during my time here in Birchwood Grange care home was both enjoyable and beneficial. This is because everyone treated all the volunteers with respect and made sure they were comfortable. It was very beneficial as I got to see staff members in action (communicating with residents) which

This is a care home that breaks the mould. It doesn't feel like a care home. There is an aquarium and fresh flowers in a tastefully decorated reception. There are talented entertainers. The meals look nice and vegetarians are catered for. Residents are encouraged to be independent. My mother is improving
and seems happy. I feel that a documentary should be produced as inspiration to other care homes!

My mother received excellent care service during the short time she was at Brichwood Grange Care Home.

Overall an excellent care home, very welcoming impression for visitors and family. Not the usual care home and some excellent staff. My father only moved in 2 1/2 months ago, therefore my review relates to only a short period. Overall pleased. There have been some issues which I have made management
aware of, all matters which I feel can be easily addressed. Excellent food is prepared at this home and I also feel that the interaction and activities which they hold are good. Unfortunately, my father is not able to participate. Any negatives can be addressed and may be present in most care homes.

Birchwood Grange Care Home is very nice with beautiful gardens, very clean with wooden animals freshens one's mind - feel happy to visit. The staff are very friendly and help to solve any problems. Recently my mum needed new glasses, the optician visited and she had new glasses, very quick service provided
by in-house optician very friendly.

My father spent the last 6 months of his life under the care of Daffodil Ward.

My father was a resident and he received excellent care. All the staff in Birchwood were excellent in caring for my father. Our family were not capable of caring for him at home and Birchwood was a friendly, homely environment for not just the residents but for family, as it gave us peace of mind knowing

I’m Kerry, General Manager at Birchwood Grange Care Home, with nearly 30 years in health and social care. My background includes domiciliary care, residential services, and supported living for people with learning disabilities. I’ve led home care services and most recently worked with a charity where I was proud to oversee CQC Outstanding-rated services.


Honesty, integrity, and respect guide my work and are at the heart of everything I do. I’m passionate about championing the care profession and supporting staff to deliver the best possible care.
