In comparison to other care homes I have visited, Birchwood Grange definitely ticks all the boxes. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and caring and the atmosphere is always warm and positive. The tasteful decor makes the place feel homely and I particularly like that there's various forms of activities and entertainment available to the residents.

I have been a volunteer for over two weeks. In this short experience, I have seen the great amount of care given by the staff to all the residents.

I have also seen something that does not exist in many other care homes which is an activity time. During this time the staff all work together to entertain the residents either by activities where they sit and enjoy (like music) or activities which they personally join (like art).

Whilst my father was only in Birchwood for a very short period, we were so impressed with the quality of care. The kindness of the staff and all the facilities and environment. Not only was it comfortable for dad, but also for us.

Lovely home, I wish my own mother had been in a home like this one.

If I could go back 20 years, I would pick this one.

Our auntie has been made very comfortable. The care home staff are second to none, very attentive and caring. Sometimes it's the smaller details that make her stay comfortable, like a pillow resting under her arm, whilst she is sleeping. The staff are all amazing and extremely polite and welcoming. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with much attention to detail, giving a sense of calm and tranquillity.

The care and attention of the carers and nurses are fantastic, they are always helpful. As you come into the home you see a fantastic display of ornaments in the front it's breathtaking, so much effort has been put into it and also the back garden. The care home is a credit to all the staff who work there.

My experience during my time here in Birchwood Grange care home was both enjoyable and beneficial. This is because everyone treated all the volunteers with respect and made sure they were comfortable. It was very beneficial as I got to see staff members in action (communicating with residents) which gave me an idea on how to approach certain residents.

This is a care home that breaks the mould. It doesn't feel like a care home. There is an aquarium and fresh flowers in a tastefully decorated reception. There are talented entertainers. The meals look nice and vegetarians are catered for. Residents are encouraged to be independent. My mother is improving and seems happy. I feel that a documentary should be produced as inspiration to other care homes!

My mother received excellent care service during the short time she was at Brichwood Grange Care Home.

Staff were always at hand to listen to any worries and concerns we had, which was then addressed excellently by them.

Overall an excellent care home, very welcoming impression for visitors and family. Not the usual care home and some excellent staff. My father only moved in 2 1/2 months ago, therefore my review relates to only a short period. Overall pleased. There have been some issues which I have made management aware of, all matters which I feel can be easily addressed. Excellent food is prepared at this home and I also feel that the interaction and activities which they hold are good. Unfortunately, my father is not able to participate. Any negatives can be addressed and may be present in most care homes.
