My father spent the last 6 months of his life under the care of Daffodil Ward.

The staff except for one nurse were outstanding. Caring and exceptionally considerate and loving. Thank you.

My mother recently died in Birchwood Grange care home. I was very impressed by the caring nature in which she was looked after during her last weeks of life.

My father was a resident and he received excellent care. All the staff in Birchwood were excellent in caring for my father. Our family were not capable of caring for him at home and Birchwood was a friendly, homely environment for not just the residents but for family, as it gave us peace of mind knowing he would receive the best care.

I like shopping, going out, watching TV and eating. I sometimes want to be on my own and sometimes with everyone else.

The food is really nice and there is always a birthday to celebrate. I like the church and the ladies who give me communion.

Everyone is very nice here. The staff are friendly and kind. I enjoy the food and lovely desserts, also the musical activities. I can sit in the lounge and enjoy the company of the other residents or sit in my lovely room which I feel is very much my own.

What I like is the music, the entertainment, going out shopping and going to the fast food restaurant. I like clothes and chocolates, and cola.
The staff are nice and help me to do the things I find hard.
The place is colourful and lots of things I like are on the walls which make me feel happy.

I've got lots of friends here and I am so happy and I like my room and the things I have around me.

I am very happy here. I used to be more active and go out a lot but now I don't feel I want to and I am contented to walk around the home and meet lots of people to talk to. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

My sister comes to see me but I have so many people and places to go in the home to keep me walking.

I sometimes get confused but I am OK with everyone around me. I feel safe and if I need to I can ask for help when I don't feel well.

I like seeing my friends and speaking to my family in Ireland. The food is OK and there is always something happening to keep me busy.

Happy and safe is how I feel. I like people and like them to come and talk to me. There are music and board games, games with balls and bingo.
Sometimes I join in, sometimes I like to watch.

I don't go outside but I can see outside to the garden from my room and the lounge. Maybe when the weather is warmer I'll go into the garden.

I am happy at the care home and with the staff who look after me really well. This is my home and I enjoy when people spend time with me and talk to me. I can't do very much but I feel very safe and comfortable. I can't remember sometimes but the staff make me feel better by reassuring me that I don't have to be afraid.

The quality of the care service is excellent. The Asian unit is brilliant - daily activity of going to do Satsang is brilliant - food is very nice. Staff are really good especially in Cedar Unit as our experience. When visitors arrive they are very well looked after, from reception staff - care staff - to administration - kitchen staff. Sadly my mum passed away on 27th Dec. The two ladies on duty that evening were very professional, kind and caring to us. Thank you.

My uncle has been in at Birchwood Grange since losing his wife in 2015.

Having Dementia at 62 then losing his wife with whom he had been with since age 16 was a terrible blow and it was decided that we needed to find a care home that could provide a home that felt like it was his " home ".

We searched and found Birchwood Grange since he arrived the place has improved year on year and the last couple of years with the new management team the standards have improved yet again and in my mind, this has been an exceptional time. He has benefited in so many ways from this, the quality of the staff, he has his privacy and autonomy whilst the incentives of activities help him remain active in his daily life. The new design and decoration and the surroundings are absolutely amazing and helps him enormously in making it easier to interpret and navigate the building and grounds in safety. I can from the heart recommend Birchwood Grange.

My father arrived at Birchwood Grange just before Christmas unable to feed or drink for himself. All I can say is that in a matter of a couple of weeks my father seems to have come alive!! He now eats and able to drink without anyone having to do it for him. Thank you so much to all staff/carers at Birchwood for your kindness and care with my dad. My family and I are very happy to have been able to get dad into a wonderful care home like Birchwood. It's a very hard job you all have to do and my family and I very much appreciate it!! Many thanks

Birchwood Grange what a fantastic place for my Mum to spend her final few weeks. The staff were kind and considerate, friendly and fun, they were always on hand not just for Mum but for us as a family to give us a reassuring hug or just a knowing smile.

A truly wonderful place.
