Nurses Are Excellent, Very Reassuring + Helpful. Carers Need To Be Told Not To Shout + Argue With Each Other In Front Of Residents Rooms. And Not To Discuss Their Ailments In Front Of Them As Can Cause Them Some Distress. Otherwise All Satisfactory.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found our nursing team to be excellent, reassuring, and helpful. Your kind comments will be shared with the nurses, who will greatly appreciate your recognition.

The quality of the food is satisfactory, but not always hot when served.

I value Hayes Cottage Nursing Home an excellent grade. Individual staff are very good, but they are too busy; therefore, services are sometimes not an Excellent grade.
Our staff work extremely hard to deliver high standards of care, and your positive comments about them are very much appreciated.

The care and compassion shown to my dad at the home, in my opinion, is outstanding. The nursing staff, carers, cooks & cleaners, and admin are always warm, friendly, welcoming & treat my dad with dignity, respect and affection. I have developed a good relationship with all & the kindness shown to residents and family is really appreciated. I have even been invited to join my dad for meals during my visits, very thoughtful. It gives me, my family great comfort & reassurance that my dad is being well cared for in such a supportive environment. Thank you all for your dedication, empathy and genuine kindness.
We are truly grateful for your kind words and delighted to hear that you and your family feel reassured by the care and support your dad receives. Providing compassionate, person-centered care while treating every resident with dignity, respect, and kindness is at the heart of everything we do, so it is wonderful to know that this has been your experience.
My mum, Mohinder, is in care at the Hayes Cottage. We have found there are many activities for the elderly, something for them to do every day. All the staff are very helpful and friendly, and mum finds it easy to get on with everyone and enjoys chatting to people here.
Thank you for your kind words about our team. Your feedback means a great deal to us, and we look forward to continuing to support your mum and your family.
Staff are excellent, looking after my husband. Home is always clean. Friendly, personnel, nurses and carers do their job with care and dignity. Managers are very approachable and helpful.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. Were delighted to hear that your husband feels well cared for and that youve had such positive experiences with our team. Our staff work hard to create a clean, welcoming environment where residents are treated with dignity and kindness, so it truly means...
I was very pleased that Hayes Cottage Nursing Home was able to receive my mother at short notice, as she was being discharged from hospital. My mum appears to be happy in her new environment, which is the object of the experience. She finds both the care and the food to be very good. The staff are very friendly and conscientious.
Thank you so much for your lovely review . It means so much to us and we are happy that your mum feels comfortable and happy at Hayes .
From dad's first day to his last.
They kept his dignity at all times.
They made family welcome anytime day or night.
Everything was with a personal touch from speaking on the phone to the visits.
Most importantly my dad was happy there and it was like his home from home.
Thank you, Tracy, for your lovely review. We are so happy to know that we made a difference.
And the carers take too long to get to the people who need the care and when staff get "punishment" it will change for a day but the go back to how it was and the staff like talking to each other instead of doing there jobs and when you try to talk to the head nurse or the manager the staff will take the complaint on you and or your family in the care home.
And my Dad has been in the care home for a year now but when he first when into the care home the managers never introduced themselves to us.
And they inconsistently move staff around so when the people in the care home needs they're baths or showers they are left with people they don't know or don't have a bond because they were moved upstairs for no real reason and that can leave people feeling uncomfortable when having a shower or bath.
I regularly discuss any issues or concerns directly with your mother...
Dad was really quite poorly when he came to Hayes Cottage but the care he's received has helped him to improve hugely. He takes part in all the activities he's able to, and it has been lovely to see his smiling face among the photos on the noticeboard each month.
All the staff - carers, nurses, activity staff, admin and management - genuinely care. That, more than anything, is why I picked Hayes Cottage, and why I'm so grateful. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We know how difficult it can be to make the decision for a loved one to move into residential care, and we are truly glad that you felt supported and reassured throughout the process. It's wonderful to hear that...
After my dad's first 3 days at the care home, we knew it would not be for long as he was end of life, and I was allowed to stay with my dad 24 hours a day, which I know meant a lot to him and especially to me. Everybody was extremely accommodating, helpful, gracious, and polite, as I know this is not the normal. I'm ever so grateful, as was my dad. Certain members of staff need extra credit as they really did shine. 5 in particular, thank you.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will be sharing it with the team. Im really pleased that we could make a positive difference for both your dad and yourself.
From the first day, my mum was always very well cared for. She got on exceptionally well with all the staff, who always had time for her. They always made sure she was well dressed and her hair brushed. She loved to join in all the different available activities. We would always find her with a smile on her face when we went to visit and often would laugh and joke with the staff. As a family, we felt reassured that she was being well cared for at all times. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We always strive to do our best and provide the highest quality of care for our residents, as Hayes is their home.Your kind words mean a lot to us.
From start to finish everyone was so kind and helpful in getting my brother in, settled and wonderfully cared for during his year here. The staff went above and beyond continuously to make sure that not only were his physical needs attended to but kept him in such an emotionally stable place too. Right up until his passing the support and care given to both of us was exceptional. I shall be forever grateful.
Thank you so much Anne for your lovely review. I will share it with the wider team.
Food is ok but could be better, those not in the dining room are not asked what they want and food is served plated. Desserts are awful, main meals are ok but could be better as meat is tough and everything is covered in gravy even when it is not wanted.
After being slightly nervous about Dad being put in a home, which I would imagine most people would think that way. This home has given my father back his dignity, he is looked after 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of professionals. My family and I can't thank them enough for everything they have done, but most importantly, they have given him a quality of life that we could not give him at home.
Thank you sincerely for your kind review. At Hayes Cottage, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and creating a home-like environment for our residents. It is truly rewarding to know that our efforts are appreciated, as our entire team is deeply committed to ensuring the well-being and happiness of those in our care.
My wife came first and I was so pleased with the entire home, I wanted to be with her as she was so poorly. I moved in temporarily to be with her until she sadly passed away last week. I cannot fault the care provided, friendly staff, kindness and happiness throughout. I found the simple meals so beautiful, I enjoyed them all and the fresh fruit and the odd glass of wine were a regular treat. The activities provided were great but couldn't always be there as I was comforting my wife. I will be moving out to be with my son in sheltered accommodation next month but when the time comes and I will need a nursing home I will be coming straight back to Hayes Cottage.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to be able to take care of you and your wife. Your wife was a pleasant lady. Both of you will be missed.
My wife received the very best care during her three months at Hayes Cottage Nursing Home. The staff were caring, sympathetic and courteous at all times. They treated my wife with dignity and welcomed us as a family when we visited. The home was spotlessly clean, the food was good and the activities well planned. The home is a credit to the management and staff. Thank you for taking such good care of my wife.
