Heathland Court is an elegant and spacious home situated in the leafy suburb of Wimbledon. It offers long and short-term residential, nursing and and dementia care.

They’re here when you and your loved ones need them most. For planned respite or last- minute trips. A safe space to recover after an operation. To experience what their home’s like before moving long- term. To just relax. Whatever the reason, their doors are open.

The home is surrounded by attractive, well-maintained gardens, originally a private house, you will find many of its original features, including traditional fireplaces and high ceilings inside the grand stone building. There is plenty of communal space, with five well-furnished lounges and a conservatory for residents and families to relax and socialise. The home also has a hostess that is always on hand and an in-house resident hairdresser that visits twice a week.

It’s close to local transport links, is a few minutes’ drive from the A3, has its own dedicated car park and benefits from a bus route stopping near the home, making an ideal location for visiting family and friends.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

My thanks to all Heathland Court staff members who participated in a successful video call meeting today. Ancillary members of staff made sure that my mother was ready for the meeting on time. All staff members acted in a professional and caring manner.

My wife is a resident at Heathland Court as a result of a brain haemorrhaging in June 2018 and came to the nursing home in early 2019. I chose Heathland Court as I was advised that my wife would be served best by being somewhere that our Putney friends could visit readily. I have been assured that my
wife’s medical needs would be met although it is not always easy to meet the doctor.
I have had confidence that the Home would keep the residents safe amid the risks of Covid-19 and have appreciated the information passed to relatives. It has been well reported how vulnerable residents of nursing homes have been but I have been grateful for the care provided to my wife under difficult circumstances.

My mother has dementia, and the home has been very good in assisting me to keep in touch on Facetime.
The home is clean, and the staff dedicated and kind.

At an incredibly difficult time, Heathland Court Care Home staff have been amazing - helpful, patient and calm and very professional. One member of staff has been incredible, organising and supporting my mother through Facetime calls which have been so reassuring. I have had regular updates and calls
to confirm test results. Another member of staff and all the ground floor staff have been so positive and I appreciate all they have done at a time when it must have been so hard on their families. I have felt safe in the knowledge that my mother was being well cared for and I have been impressed with the organisation and changes that happened so quickly but have been well communicated.

Some of the staff are stand out excellent but I am not allowed to name them. The other staff are either good or satisfactory. I have no complaint about any specific member of staff. Main criticism - the food. Room for improvement.

I stayed here for a brief post-op stay, and I was very well looked after.
Had a very pleasant room with ensuite. My stay occurred during the flake up of the Coronavirus and the staff dealt with the difficult situation well; with extremely high standards of hygiene.

My brother-in-law went into Heathland for palliative end of life care. It was handled extremely well with caring staff and excellent facilities. It made a very sad time the best experience it could have been.

I came in February 2016 after major surgery and a sacral ulcer and left leg ulcers. After the first year, I was very dissatisfied all-round. Four changes of manager, several changes of care staff and other staff in admin over the four-year period has not left a good impression. I have battled with significant
pain on the right side (arm and hand) diagnosed diabetic and struggled with weight. The same boring menu is not reflecting my needs to keep weight low and improve muscle strength and bone structure plus low-grade food at times. My two eggs at breakfast are rarely adequate - makes me cross. The standard of care, day and night, has many good points but basic skills belie adequate training. Managements disregard of the urgent need to maintain 100% fall alarm has been criminal.

My mother has been well cared for, even though there have been some significant changes to the team, and it is fortunate that some key staff remain to provide a welcome family support and continuity of care. Her room is clean and attractive with a lovely view of trees. The musical entertainment is good
for those who cannot join in with more complicated activities. Overall, we are happy with the home and any minor concerns we have raised with the new manager who recently asked for our feedback.

The standard of care was very poor. When my niece came in on several occasions, my mother's mouth was glued shut with dried saliva, indicating no mouth care had been done.
When this was pointed out to the staff, they were dismissive.
There appeared to be a culture of blame at the home and there appeared
to be a high turnover of staff with a lot of agency people who were not well briefed. The assessment notes were at odds with the detailed notes from the hospital and from her niece (LPA for health and welfare).

This is by far the nicest care home I have ever seen and I have searched many. My father was a resident here before he sadly passed away. The home is the cleanest I have ever walked into and his room was bright, newly decorated and really beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make him comfortable,
they show true commitment to the residents and were amazing with my father in his last few hours. I cannot express enough how much of a great care home Heathland Court Care Home is and I would have no problem recommending this home to anyone. The staff answered every question I asked with compassion and brought me up to date with how he was getting on at every visit. I could not have wished for my dad to be in any other care home when he died, truly amazing staff!

I have been extremely pleased with our experience with Heathland Court.
I have only witnessed outstanding care which is compassionate, kind and genuine.
Staff are warm-hearted and friendly. The building is beautifully maintained, is clean and sparklingly fresh. The registered nurses, management, carers,
in fact, everyone that I have spoken to are interested and approachable, all questions are answered, nothing is too much trouble. There was a pianist playing when I was there yesterday. It’s not just the physical needs that are cared for, there is a holistic approach to wellbeing.
I recommend this home. Caring is clearly at the heart of Heathland Court; strong management, quality staff and the willingness to provide a happy and healthy home mean that I, and other relatives and friends, can rest assured that our loved ones are safe and properly cared for.

The home is welcoming and genuine from the moment you arrive. The new home manager has already made some changes and has spoken to me about the future vision for the home. My relative said that he spends time with them and is happy to make them his priority.
The nurses are always happy to spend time
with the family to explain things clearly and reassure us.

From day 1, the staff here have been excellent. The care and attention they have given my mother have been fantastic. The room is really nice as is the whole of the home. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly and I'm very happy that my mum is being looked after here.
