Hugh Myddleton House have done a fantastic job caring for my uncle. The staff always treat the patients with dignity and respect, even in difficult and distressing circumstances. My uncle always expressed how much he enjoyed the food and dining experience when well enough to visit the dining room.

Welcoming, caring atmosphere.

It's a great relief to be safe in the knowledge my uncle is well cared for at all times.

I am especially happy with the nursing care he receives.

My dad was only resident at Hugh Myddelton for a very short while but I am so thankful that he spent his final days at a home so filled with love and care.

From pre-admission until the end of his life my dad was treated with kindness and compassion, and the whole family were cared for and supported at the end of his life.

I have found my stay comfortable and friendly. The staff could not be more helpful. It would be bettered only by having more staff on duty each day. Medical care is 1st class. Hospitals and specialists are called in to assist when they feel the need the food is very good and varied, allowing for diets. Requests are met with if nothing on the menu is liked.

My mother has been resident at Hugh Myddelton House Care Centre for almost three months. The staff are caring and attentive and the quality of nursing care is good.

My mother is kept clean and the home is airy and has a garden which gives my mother access to the outdoors in warmer weather which she enjoys. Her room is pleasant and the quality of her meals are good and she has regained weight that had been previously lost.

Since my mother entered care I have seen care quality delivery of the poorest standards at one care home; good delivery with occasional catastrophic negligence at another, and a standard way below those at Hugh Myddelton at her last nursing home.

She has now been at Hugh Myddelton for as long as her combined time at 3 previous establishments and her care quality remains exemplary in comparison, where she is content in spite of her slowly advancing dementia.

My mother has been in this home since 2004, she has received overall good care. I find the staff are friendly and always welcoming. My mother seems happy here. The rooms are clean and the food seems ok. My mother prefers mostly one to one activities and the activity co-coordinator really tries to meet her needs as she is still young and likes to do things that maybe the older generation doesn’t. Overall the home is good.

The home has been fantastic from our first point of contact. The manager had great empathy and understanding, immiediately making my Mother happy with the decision. On arrival, the senior nurse was very quickly ontop of my Father's requirements, despite his late arrival after a hospital discharge. Subsequently, another member of staff has been fantastic and provided a high degree of confidence within the medical nursing care. All carers genuinely live up to their name - Happy, professional and warm-natured. The home is immaculate and the quality of care is exactly as we wished.
