Really calm and kind staff that know my mother and mother in law very well.
I come and go as I please and I know they are in safe hands when I'm not there. Night staff keep them safe.
The nursing care is excellent.
Food allergies and dietary needs are carefully attended to. The lunches are really lovely, 3 course meals. The dining room is set out like a restaurant.
The care staff keep skin well moisturised and there are no signs of dehydration from their skin or lips. Residents are kept clean.
The rooms are cleaned very well by extremely kind staff who respect residents.

Office staff and Manager are fab! Thank you Kingston Care Home.

Excellent Care home I cannot praise the care my Aunty received highly enough. The home is extremely well run is very kind and compassionate and all members of staff we engaged with were brilliant from the receptionist to the carers and nurses and a special mention to the manager who was exceptional. My Aunty arrived in Kingston Care Home in a very confused state and in poor health

After 3 months she has improved enormously thanks to the kindness and patience of all the team.My Aunty was treated with respect and dignity, I was impressed with the level of professionalism shown by all the staff combined with the relaxed atmosphere.I would highly recommend Kingston and would sincerely like to thank everyone for the care my Aunty received over her stay.

My father has only just moved in, and I am very happywith the way he's looked after. I am greatly impressed with the staff's friendly and professional approach and always available if I need to speak. The staff are very attentive, caring and kind, treating my father with dignity. From our initial enquiry to my father arriving, staff have been helpful and caring. They are all friendly and the level of patience and kindness they have shown to my father and my family is excellent. The meals are great and the quality of food is very good. The care home is spotless. My father's room is light and airy with an ensuite and views of the garden.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the care, kindness, and compassion you showed my mother during her time with you from February to November 2025. Knowing she was supported, respected, and comforted throughout her final months has meant more to our family than words can fully express.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the whole staff team. We know that a care home is held together not only by those who provide direct care, but also by the many people working behind the scenes-administration, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and everyone who plays a part in creating a safe and supportive environment. Your collective efforts made such a difference to her quality of life and to our peace of mind.

Thank you again for everything you did for her and for us. We will always be grateful.

My father has been living at Kingston Care Home for just over a year and I could not be happier with the care he receives there. The manager and all the staff are exceptional. They are warm, professional and truly care for the residents. There are interesting and varied daily activities, from music, quizzes, trips out, films, craft etc. My father has dementia but he is never spoken down to; he is treated with respect, kindness and dignity, and included in as many of the activities as he can safely participate in. He is very content there.

My sister became a resident at Kingston Care Home when she became unable to look after herself, had lost her mobility and required nursing care. As we live hours away it has been so reassuring and helpful for me and her other relatives that she is in the professional, excellent compassion, understanding and diligent care of qualified staff, kind assistance (for well being and activities) as well as the team of auxiliary staff.

Our mum came to live at Kingston Care Home in 2020. Due to Covid, and the lockdown she didn't settle too well, but she was suffering from dementia and had been in the same home looking after herself for many years. However the staff were amazing and made her feel as welcome and as loved and cared for as they could and she soon seemed to settle. My sister and I were thankful that our mum was being given the 24/7 care she needed and we cannot fault the help that she was given and the communication we had in helping to decide what sort of care was appropriate at each stage. Unfortunately, mum died in February, and my sister and I didn't get there in time to be with her however one of the carers held her hand in those final moments so she was not on her own.

Many thanks to you all.

Myself, my wife and family would like to thank the manager & his team at Kingston Care Home, for the outstanding quality of care our Mum/Nan is receiving. Our Mum was placed here at the end of last year, she has been in 2 previous homes where she was extremely unhappy & was not settling. Since being with the manager & his team, she has settled, she loves the carers, the food & the home in general. The service she is receiving is 2nd to none, the home is clean, the food is lovely and well presented, her needs are taken care of, she is treated with dignity & respect. She isn't the most easiest of people to please and can be quite challenging at times but the staff know how to deal with her on her bad days, calming her down & making her feel safe and comfortable again. There is always someone to speak to & we get regular updates. We honestly can't thank the manager and his team enough. We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved 1.

Sadly my father in law only got to spend a short time here as he was very ill, when we visited to look over the home we got an immediate feeling that it was the best place for him. The manager was very nice and took us on a tour of the home to show us around nothing seemed to much trouble and he made sure we saw all areas of the home and facilities available. Whilst dad was a resident he was clean, comfortable and safe. The communication regarding dads health was very good. We were very happy with the staff all round and we were always greeted with friendliness and a smile. Thank you so much to the manager and his team for making dads last days as comfortable and dignified as possible.

My husband moved to the home four weeks ago as he was becoming unsafe at home. He was made welcome by each staff member. I know he calls me all the time but they are patient with him. He has a; already been taken to the National History Museum. If I go to visit and he is not in his room the carers always know where he is, if I take him out a carer comes to the car to lift the wheelchair into the care for me. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. Though he has had the hearing aids in the wrong ears sometimes.

My wife had a two-week stay and settled in very quickly thanks to the kind and supportive staff. She fairly rapidly started to eat in the dining room with other service users and I think she enjoyed the experience. She seems to have slept well although she rolled out of bed on one occasion. It was not obvious to me what sort of activities took place and I took her out a couple of times for singing events that we normally attend. The staff were helpful in ensuring she had supper, although she came back a few minutes late. I was slightly concerned about her clothes getting lost but in due course have reappeared. I was kept well-informed about how she was coping.

Alex TiexeiraJob Title:Home Manager

Coming from Portugal, a country renowned for its care for the elderly, Alex found their calling in the UK.

Their career journey spans from Scotland to London, beginning as a Registered Nurse at Colinton Care Home in Edinburgh and later at Uplands Care Home in Streatham. Now, as Home Manager at Kingston, they make a positive impact on residents and the team.

Alex's key to success is getting to know residents and the team, and fostering happiness. They maintain an open-door policy and actively assist the team, frequently seen in uniform.

Beyond work, they love fashion, shopping, and experimenting with new looks.

Their proudest achievement outside work is completing a nursing degree while juggling a part-time job.

Alex emphasises the importance of a caring "family" environment in care homes. Their advice for those seeking the right care home is to follow their instincts and look for inclusion and support in the home's atmosphere, whether as a resident, team member, or family.
