I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work in both hospital settings and private care, gaining valuable experience across a variety of clinical environments. These experiences have helped me develop strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver quality care.
My passion for nursing stems from my genuine desire to help humanity achieve optimum well-being and receive care that is safe, effective, and truly satisfactory. I believe in treating every individual with dignity, compassion, and respect, ensuring that their needs are always at the centre of the care we provide.
As the new Deputy Manager at Magnolia Court, I look forward to supporting the General Manager in all aspects of service delivery and working closely with every member of the team. My focus will be on ensuring that all service users and residents receive person-centred care in a well-led, compliant, and supportive environment, fully in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
My goal is to bring the best to the table, to lead by example, and to continue learning and growing within the organisation. I am committed to being a strong team player, promoting teamwork, positivity, and excellence in all that we do. I am truly grateful for the opportunity that Barchester has entrusted to me and look forward to contributing meaningfully to the continued success of the home.

Hello, I’m Ann Fernandez.
I qualified with a BSc in Nursing in India in 2020 and, after completing my NMC requirements, began my nursing career in the UK in 2021 as a newly qualified nurse. Since then, I have progressed through a range of roles, including Unit Manager of an advanced dementia unit and Clinical Deputy Manager.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for providing compassionate, person-centred care and supporting residents to feel valued, respected and comfortable. I have always admired Barchester’s values, high standards of care and strong, dedicated teams, so I was delighted to join Magnolia Court in May 2026 as a Senior Registered Nurse.
I look forward to building meaningful relationships with residents, their families and my colleagues, and to contributing to the warm, caring and welcoming community here at Magnolia Court.

Today, I am privileged to work as a Care Practitioner, where I continue to develop my clinical skills while making a positive difference in the lives of our residents. Hello, my name is Nina and I am the new Home Administrator here at Magnolia Court Care Home.
I joined Barchester in 2016, starting at Bryn Ivor Lodge in Wales. In 2021, I made the exciting move to Magnolia Court, embracing the opportunity to be part of a new community and contribute to a different home environment. This transition has allowed me to broaden my experience and deepen my commitment to providing excellent care and support.
I began my journey as a care assistant and transitioned to an admin assistant last year. From May until October 2024, I became part of the transposing team for Enable, travelling around London to assist other Barchester care homes in the region with the important transition from paper records to digital systems, which I truly enjoyed.
I am very passionate about supporting the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and working closely with residents and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices heard. My goal is to contribute positively to the care environment, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for everyone involved.
Outside of work, I love to hike, swim, and attend concerts and festivals in my spare time.
I look forward to continuing to assist and support the team, residents, and their families at Magnolia Court.

Hello, I am Jacqueline and I joined the Magnolia Court Team in November 2024 as Head Chef.
I qualified as a chef at Hammersmith college in 1999. I had a love for cooking since I was a child, my siblings and I helped our mum in the kitchen and as we grew up and took it in turns to cook to help our mum who was a nurse.
During my career as a Chef I have cooked at a number of wonderful and interesting places such the BBC, Westminster Council and The Royal ballet. I had the pleasure of cooking for Darcy Bussell, The Lord Mayors and Princess Margaret.
I love cooking as it enables me to be creative and make people happy at the same time. I was inspired by my mum and always wanted to cook with in health care. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know residents. It makes me very happy to see the delight and enjoyment my food brings to people.
