Mornington Hall Care Home provide residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for up to 120 adults over the age of 65.

The home offers a home-from-home environment, with a team of care professionals dedicated to making each resident feel comfortable and safe. The team strive to maintain residents' independence as much as possible and help them to make the most of each day, making sure they have choice over their care and how they want to live.

The team work in collaboration with health professionals and the community to deliver care that meets each resident's unique needs and reflects their preferred lifestyle.

Inside the home, you'll find rooms that are well presented and homely, each offering ensuite facilities. There is also a spacious dining area and cosy living areas for residents to relax and enjoy some down time, as well as a cinema room.

My mother-in-law was in Mornington Hall nursing home, Haywood House she was diagnosed end of life. The place is excellent, staff were lovely and caring, giving her all her needs and making her comfortable. Three members of staff, in particular, stood out to us.

Mornington Hall Care Home is kept spotless, with light and airy rooms and attractive decorations. When my uncle became a resident, it was clear that all the staff valued him and were very caring and attentive. He was encouraged to eat and to sit in the lounge for the company when he became agitated.
All the staff were sensitive and involved in attending to his needs. When I visited (almost every day), they were very welcoming and would let me know what he had been doing and were keen to involve me. It is clear that the staff have been well-trained in dementia care and are well-equipped to calm and care for their residents. The activities on offer really impressed me and have been much enjoyed by my uncle. It was very nice to be shown pictures of him joining in the exercises and games during the week. I was very happy with the care he received and would recommend Mornington Hall for those with similar needs.

Staff are caring friendly and professional. They treat my Mum with care respect and dignity. They are always smiling and friendly to the residents, family and friends and they always keep us informed of things that have happened (not necessarily involving us).
Food - No hard or dry food, She can eat
cottage pies with extra gravy, soups and other soft foods.

I made my first inside visit to my mother on Saturday 27th March. I would like to express my gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the staff of Mornington Hall Care Home where my mum lives. Their care, warmth and kindness throughout the pandemic has been exemplary. I would especially like to commend one
member of staff, whom I met on Saturday. She was incredibly cheerful, helpful and a really caring and professional member of staff. Her kindness and pro active attitude really impressed me. She took me through the lateral Flo test and really looked after my mum and I during the visit. I would also like to commend the receptionist whom I often meet whilst dropping things off for mum. She is unfailingly helpful and cheerful. She happily organises my parcels! Many thanks to all the staff from myself, my sister, aunties and all the family.

The new home manager, office, clinical staff and carers have been wonderful during this past testing year.
My father has had the best care possible and continues to be looked after to the highest level.
The contact with the home manager has been exceptional. At no point have we requested something
and it hasn’t been done.
During COVID it’s been very difficult for us as a family not having physical contact with our loved one. The home provided the best contact they could whenever possible, e.g. window visits, Zoom calls, outside visits.
All the carers/domestic staff and nurses known to me have been great in their roles during this testing time!

This is the first time my mother has been a Resident of a care home and as a family, we were really anxious and worried about how she would settle down. But the staff at Mornington Hall has ensured my mother is settling down well. I must mention the Night-time Manager, who has gone above and beyond
to support my mother. He has created a prayer schedule and supports my mother to pray during the night which is remarkable as we used to do the same with our mother when she was at home. He also speaks my mother’s language and ensures she does not feel lonely. Overall our satisfaction with the care home is high and we would recommend this home highly.

In March 2020 I discovered that my sister, whom I had not seen for over 45 years was living in Cornwall House. I have been trying to find her for many years, unfortunately, when I did we were all in lockdown, so I was unable to visit. I contacted Cornwall House and sent my sister a letter and photographs
of myself and our brother. The Activities Co-ordinator saw the photos and called me. The coordinator was very helpful and enthusiastic about our story and how my sister and I had lost touch. A video call was arranged and I finally spoke to my sister after so many years, it was wonderful. Since then I have been able to speak to my sister via phone and video calls and although I cannot visit yet the home have now arranged weekly calls to maintain contact. I would like to thank the staff very much for being so helpful and going out of their way to allow regular contact with my sister.

Although the staff of Hamfrith House are working hard to care for the residents during these troubling times, I feel I must show my appreciation for the effort they made to make sure my Mum enjoyed her 95th birthday. A special effort was made to decorate the quiet room with balloons and banners. The
staff sang happy birthday to her and I know that made her feel very special. Mum is always treated with care and respect and the staff are always willing to update me on her health and well being. I find them all very professional and approachable at all times. In my view, Mornington Hall is a highly recommendable nursing home.

Just wanted to say a big thank you on behalf of my sister, myself and other family members, for the fabulous care our mum is receiving in Cornwell House. We are reassured that mum is safe and well, and couldn’t have better care. The nursing staff, carers, activity workers, caterers, cleaners and any
other staff we encounter have always been cheerful, warm and friendly and make us feel so welcome. In these difficult times, we know they will be doing their absolute best for mum and all the residents. You are all very much appreciated. I came to visit Dad on, Saturday 22nd February. He was sitting in his room (his choice). He was clean and happy. The carer greeted me, my partner and sister-in-law, she bought us all in tea and biscuits on a trolley to Dad's room. Her smile was warm and welcoming, such a pleasure to see. The other carers
on duty all popped in to see Dad at some point during our visit, and we had a little chat.
A really enjoyable visit made possible by the staff.

Came to celebrate our uncle's 100th, the staff were wonderful. My first impressions were clean - spotless, staff were helpful and friendly. Very impressive. I cannot comment on some of the tick boxes as I do not know, but our uncle's son is extremely happy with the staff and care here. Thank you.
