Prince George Duke of Kent Court is a purpose-built accommodation, located in a beautiful area of Chislehurst in Kent, with a rich history.

The home is surrounded by gardens containing a large collection of rose bushes as well as many shrubs, providing pleasant areas to sit and relax. A concrete path borders the garden, allowing residents with frames or wheelchairs to have unrestrained access. Part of the lawn area is laid out for putting, which is enjoyed by residents, their family and friends.

Respite care may be offered and is usually 10% above the permanent care fees, subject to availability and will depend on an assessment of a person’s care needs.

The overall level of care given and service is very good. Staff are always approachable and ready to answer any questions. Some parts of the home need a little TLC, but this is being looked into. Things are starting to open up again at the home, which is lovely. Activities and entertainers taking place,
although craft activities could be looked at/addressed.

My father is happy in Prince George Duke of Kent Court during the covid pandemic staff coped extremely well in difficult circumstances. My father likes to play golf on the little putting green they have, he regularly plays dominoes with other residents and grows his own tomatoes and tends to them every
day which gives him a sense of purpose. He is taken out on visits to the garden centre and offered daily activities. Festivals are celebrated.
The food provided is excellent; breakfast offered includes cooked breakfast, toast, cereal and tea or coffee. Lunch and dinner are two-course meals with options to choose from. There are also drinks and snacks available throughout the day.
My father has a link worker, but all the staff know him well and are aware of his likes and dislikes. All the staff treat my father with respect and offer him privacy and dignity when assisting him with personal care. His care plan is reviewed with me regularly. Admin and management go over and above to assist with any queries.

Love love love this place! My mum has been here since February and I've never seen her smile so much! She loves all the staff and thanks to everyone there, we have got our mum for a few more years longer. Anything you ask them, they respond so quickly. Everyone helps wherever they can. So friendly and
my mum calls it her home which means everything to us.

My wife was admitted for long term nursing care due to respiratory failure following a traumatic brain injury. The ability of the staff to provide the full range of nursing care for my wife's complex needs was the primary reason for choosing this facility. It's a great relief to pass the responsibility
of day to day care to professional qualified staff. Also, the friendly atmosphere makes the environment very welcoming.

For two years I have seen nothing but professional, respectful, kind care at all times. Friends and relatives were also treated with the same kindness and respect. During the period of decline and end of life care, the staff were excellent. I cannot recommend this care home strongly enough.

My nan has lived at Prince George Duke of Kent Court for approximately 5 years and the care she has received over the years has been amazing and the carers do an amazing job.
Sadly my nan passed away peacefully and the staff showed compassion and to see how much they all cared was amazing.
The whole
family cannot show how grateful we are for everything they do to ensure residents receive person-centred care.

My husband has been at Prince George Duke of Kent Court since early July 2021, on "end of life" care. I have nothing but praise for the friendly, kind and professional staff who care for him and offer support to the family. He has a lovely, quiet room overlooking the garden where he feels relaxed and
at peace. He enjoys the food, has a good rapport with the staff, and is allowed visitors throughout the day. I feel fortunate to have found such a delightful nursing home, which I would recommend to anyone.

Placing my nan into a care home was a decision the family made for safety reasons. My nan had some respite care here before so we decided once a room became available that this is where she would go. The staff are amazing, communication is great (if my nan has a fall or is unwell).
Visiting my nan
at this time is hard without actual contact, but the safe room they have designed is a great way to be able to see my nan and talk to her. The room is bright and always clean and there is always a carer with her. There is also an area outside to clean our hands before going in and leaving.

What a wonderfully bright, clean and spacious home this is! More like a 5-star hotel than the common preconception of a care home. The professional, friendly and helpful staff under the guidance of the very experienced home manager help to promulgate an air of serenity even when some residents have
pressing needs, but nothing is too much trouble. The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution must be congratulated for this Gem amongst care homes.

I have been well impressed with the care my mother has been receiving and especially the way the carer who has sorted out arrangements for me to visit my mother. I live in Kettering so have at least a 2 1/2 hour drive each way so knowing that when I turn up and the carer is prompt in getting everything
sorted so I get the max time available to talk with my mother has really impressed me. I realise there are a lot of residents for the staff to look after so do appreciate all they are doing.

Mum and Dad became residents at Prince George in early 2015. Sadly Dad passed away a few months later. Since then, Mum has been cared for by the wonderful team at Prince George.
It's difficult to put your trust entirely with a community like Prince George, but it's been obvious from the very beginning
that Mum's wellbeing, happiness and safety have been a top priority - and this continues today.
The team really stepped up at the onset of COVID-19, they were well prepared and were equipped professionally from the beginning of the pandemic. Mum's dementia has worsened over the period she's been resident and the care has adapted accordingly. She never has a bad word to say about the way she is cared for and I have had no cause for concern ever.
I have no hesitation in recommending Prince George Duke of Kent Court to anyone seeking a safe and happy place for their loved one in their twilight years.

Prince George Duke of Kent Court staff have been excellent during the Covid-19 crisis. They have worked extremely hard to keep the residents happy and this seems to be working. I cannot praise the home enough! Both my parents moved into the home 3 years ago. Sadly my father passed away very soon after. The support they gave to my mother to cope after 70 years of marriage was beyond the call of duty! All the staff just know my mum! The manager helps her sing as my mum does
not talk much! Whenever I contact the home,during this trying time, whoever I talk to they all know how my mum is and what she had been doing with her time!
Thank you is not enough for all the members of staff!
My mother is happy and extremely well looked after! My heart sings because I know she is, within her limitations, very safe and settled.

Nina

Nina Stephens

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 1994

Nina joined RMBI Care Co. in 1994 as a student nurse at our care home Prince Michael of Kent Court in Watford in Hertfordshire. She immediately felt a strong connection with residents and a passion for supporting people living with dementia. After completing her QCF studies (NVQ Levels), Nina was promoted to Shift Leader and was able to develop her leadership skills.


Nina took over as Home Manager at Prince George Duke of Kent Court in Chislehurst in 2022 and is committed to using her experience and skills to develop staff and support residents to have the highest quality of life.


Nina said: "We actively promote person-centred care at Prince George Duke of Kent Court as we are merely guests in our residents' Homes, with the sole purpose of ensuring they receive the highest standards of care."
