Prince George Duke of Kent Court is a purpose-built accommodation, located in a beautiful area of Chislehurst in Kent, with a rich history.

The home is surrounded by gardens containing a large collection of rose bushes as well as many shrubs, providing pleasant areas to sit and relax. A concrete path borders the garden, allowing residents with frames or wheelchairs to have unrestrained access. Part of the lawn area is laid out for putting, which is enjoyed by residents, their family and friends.

Knowing my dad is in safe and caring hands takes the worry away from me, he had become a recluse not hearing or seeing anyone for days. He is definitely happier now. All management and staff are so caring and attentive. Just the one negative is his room, it is not very homely.

My father has been in Prince George since April 2016. The staff are all of the highest standard and very caring. They are led by a caring and highly competent management team who succeed in ensuring that residents receive the care and attention that they need. But importantly they go that extra mile
for which I and my family are very grateful. Thanks to them for all that they do. We would highly recommend Prince George.

The care that my mother received for the three-year duration of her stay prior to her death was exceptional. The permanent staff displayed patience and compassion in sometimes difficult circumstances. The unexpected and extraordinary display of emotion that was displayed by all members of staff when
my mother passed away demonstrated the genuine love that they felt for her. It is a mark of excellent management that every member of staff, be they responsible for the direct care or in more ancillary roles, obviously felt themselves to be an important part of the caring team.

Both of my parents stayed at Prince George Duke of Kent Court for 2 weeks respite care whilst work was being done on their house. From the moment they arrived, they were made to feel cared for and safe. The staff are all warm, kind and compassionate and nothing is too much trouble. My mother enjoyed
the daily activities and came out of herself a lot. Mum will eventually have to go in for full-time care due to health issues but says she will have no hesitation or fear in doing so now and will look forward to it. She would move in tomorrow if she could! Dad is less keen to move in full time but this is not a judgement on the home or the standard of care in any way but only because he is very reluctant to give up his independence. The food was lovely and freshly prepared daily. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home or to have my parents stay again in the future - either for respite again or as permanent residents.

The Victorian Tea sponsored by the Association of Friends was such a success last weekend – it could not have been better organised and managed by the Home Manager and her staff. Thanks also to excellent entertainment and the support of so many relatives I can’t remember a better summer event.
The
catering staff provided such a superb spread – the sandwiches, scones and cakes couldn’t be improved upon – the fact that there were hardly any leftovers is a compliment to the chef and the staff. Please also thank your staff for helping to include so many residents – the marquee on the lawn was packed.
Thanks to all the residents the event was most worthwhile. I know the residents enjoyed it from the many positive comments which were made.

My father was a resident at Prince George and sadly passed away recently.
The compassion and dignity that he was afforded was superb by all the staff.
The way that they dealt with my family and I was excellent making a difficult time a little easier.

Mum passed away at Prince George aged 90. The staff were supportive, compassionate, caring and kind. They stayed past their finish time and worked beyond the call of duty. I can rest at ease knowing mum was so well looked after.

We are very pleased with the care our father is receiving at Prince George Duke of Kent Court. The majority of the staff are kind and caring. Management seems strong and staff are led by example. The staff are friendly and all know residents by name. Usually, there is a good agenda of daily activities

After my mum had spent 6 years in another home, she moved to Prince George. Her care here had been far superior to the care she received in the other home.


The staff are very caring and friendly.

I cannot fault the care my mother has received from all the staff at Prince George Duke of Kent Court. Whilst she was strong enough, they encouraged her to mingle with other residents, which included getting involved in the scheduled daily activities, singing being her favourite. This definitely helped
her to settle in and to make Prince George Duke of Kent, her new home. More recently she has become extremely frail and I honestly believe that my mother would not be here today if it was not for the fantastic, around the clock care, she is receiving.


The management at Prince George encourages constructive feedback from both residents and family members and from personal experience suggestions put forward have been considered and acted upon if appropriate.


Overall, my sisters and I could not have chosen a better 'home' for our mother.

This care home is very clean, pleasant and well run. The staff care about the residents and are very understanding and accommodating when arranging for a new resident or attending to a request from a resident. The residents are happy, well looked after and enjoy various events/activities. I have recommended
this care home to many people and assisted them in becoming residents. Very pleasant surroundings with amenities close by and good gardens etc.

I was very pleased with my short stay. I was treated with respect by all members of staff. The care, attention and patience was 100%. The staff appeared happy in their job and worked well together. There were two carers that worked very hard on the entertainments which were varied.
The only comment
I would make is the opportunity to have a shower booked on a regular basis, say a couple of set days.

We have recently moved from one care home to another, after being given notice for no actual reason and can not express highly enough how great "all" the staff at Prince George Duke of Kent Court have been.


The difference between the two cares homes is quite unbelievable and because something looks

fantastic doesn't mean anything at all.


We are only 3 months into using Prince George and I can't believe how fantastic they are and the difference is incredible and the change in who we keep an eye over is incredible.

The overall care here is excellent, staff are friendly, approachable and kind.


Management are working diligently with residents and the resident's family and friends to ensure that any concerns that do arise are dealt with as quickly as possible with a positive result.


As with any business, sickness

and holidays can mean that sometimes the home is short staffed and agency staff are drafted in to cover, which is not ideal. Management are recruiting high-quality staff to ensure this is kept to a minimum.


On the whole, we are delighted with our choice and our thanks go to the amazing management and staff who ensure my Dad feels safe and secure, enjoys delicious food, clean clothes and a warm, caring and odour free environment.


The management and staff should feel very proud of their achievements. We would highly recommend this home and consider it in the top 5% of care homes available.

I live in Spain and can only visit the UK every six weeks.
I saw my dad on several occasions and he has shown a big improvement from when he was in a different care home.
Whilst the premises may need updating, the care my father is given is excellent. I visited twice a day for a few hours each time
and did many walkabouts.
I was pleased to see that the carers were genuinely caring and I saw on several occasions carers sitting with residents and taking time looking after their needs.
I was mostly unobserved so this wasn't just for my benefit.

Generally care is good and the laundry system is not great as items go missing and mother ends up with other clothes. One on one interaction could be greatly improved.

Nina Stephens

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 1994

Nina joined RMBI Care Co. in 1994 as a student nurse at our care home Prince Michael of Kent Court in Watford in Hertfordshire. She immediately felt a strong connection with residents and a passion for supporting people living with dementia. After completing her QCF studies (NVQ Levels), Nina was promoted to Shift Leader and was able to develop her leadership skills.


Nina took over as Home Manager at Prince George Duke of Kent Court in Chislehurst in 2022 and is committed to using her experience and skills to develop staff and support residents to have the highest quality of life.


Nina said: "We actively promote person-centred care at Prince George Duke of Kent Court as we are merely guests in our residents' Homes, with the sole purpose of ensuring they receive the highest standards of care."


"Our residents play a big part in the decision-making for all the areas of our Home, whether that is recruitment, menu choices on the food committee and general decoration of the Home. We value everybody’s opinion," added Nina.
